I had such a great experience with my trip to the market in the square. I m not the best with picking the best fruits and vegetables but this gentleman in the produce department ((Frank)) was so helpful he explained everything to me and how to tell which was ripe what would taste sweeter or bitter and I couldn t have been more delighted. There should be more employees in stores like Frank very friendly and eager to help .

I love this place! My favorite market in the area and so glad I will be living closer soon. Great deli and butcher shop (I just bought fresh oven ready chicken Florentine - how many stores carry something like that!) Fresh fruits and, vegetables from local growers. And then there's the bakery! I gain 10 pounds just looking at the selection of cakes and pies! I wish the store was a little bigger, but they take advantage of the space they have. Why are you still reading? Go now and check it out! Just wanted to add one more discovery I made today 4/5/19.) I ve shopped here on Fridays around 4 pm, and always wondered why they had a long line at the prepared food section. So I went today for the fish fry and found out why! Fresh haddock, lightly battered (not that thick batter that can sometimes be raw on the side towards the fish - yuck!) Oh, no, this was perfectly crispy, and just a hint of spice in the batter. I had it with potato salad and cole slaw (you get the fish and two sides for around $7.) I usually never finish either, because they are generally made with that cloyingly sweet dressing. These were both made the way I would make them - less sweet, more savory. Be prepared for a long line, but it s worth it (and I found some friendly people to talk to - not that surprising in this area - so it went quickly!

I ordered a 1/2 sheet cake for my dad s 90th bday party on June 6, 2018. The cake was ready on time and it was done perfect. I love the way it was decorated and so did the quests. There was a variety to choose from from the cake to types to the frosting. I chose 1/2white 1/2 chocolate and it was an outdoor party so I chose the whipped cream and butter cream frosting combo. Although I hear the whipped cream frosting is the best, I opted for the combo because it was outdoors and couldn t refrigerate it. The taste was like homemade and the frosting was very good!!! I will definitely order from this bakery again. Btw I also have had the donuts and coffee there. The donuts are always super fresh and delicious and the coffee is good too!!! And you can t beat the price One dollar for both. Unbelievable!!! Thank you market square bakery staff. You are all doing an awesome job!!!! Will definitely come back for more!!!!

I love this market. Although some items are priced a little higher than Tops or wegmans. The bakery and the hot food cafe runs circles around tops and wegman's stores. Their rolls are fresh and moist. The variety is awesome. I can't go in the market in the Square without buying hot food and dessert. Then there is the butcher dept no one has greek burgers or chicken sausage like MIS.

The last time I was their a young employee helped me who had red hair ,glasses and a younger female who was her mabey 30's also greeted as his manager. The way they recommend and answered my questions was outstanding..............I would recommend your store to my friends/family and will continue to shop their.

Customer service is not the norm for this store. Especially in the deli dept. For 2 years I have complained to management about how most of the employees always add to the amount of meat or cheese ordered. For example...if I ordered a pound of ham...you can bet there will be more than the pound ordered. Every blessed time! Thats why I only order 3/4 of a pound..that way I know it wont be forced to pay more. I go to Omega deli now. How many people are they forcing to pay more that what is asked for? Talking to management gets you nowhere! They don't care.

Came in to get groceries because Wegmans was packed and the customer service was absolutely a joke. The people who work here are rude especially a man in particular who was screaming at people that they couldn t walk in unless it was the certain way that he wanted. Wouldn t recommend coming here anymore.

When I first move to this area I went to the Market in the Square and felt that it was a good opportunity for young kids to have for the firts time experience of working and learn responsibility while going to high school. My son gave it a try, was there for 6 to 7 months. Once he gave his two weeks notice to his manager Tony, due to want to enjoy his last yr in high school and play sport. Tony made fun of him if front of other staff member, told him that he did not care and coment to another employee What I am going to loose another sweepman?. It is really sad to see adult do this to young kids. For what I was told he does this to others. Tony should not be working with people. He has no education, behavior that is not appropriate, lack of respect to others and a big Bully to young kids. ( Please, Tony try this with an adult) The reason I did a review is for other Parents to be aware of what really is going on. Let your kids know not to let people like Tony Bully them or downgrading them because of the job title or job duties. NO KIDS SHOULD experience a difficult or unpleasant situation.

UPDATE: After a bad experience with a store employee, I wrote a negative review. I felt the review was warranted. However, the next day I received a phone call by a department manager. Not only did I get an apology, but I also received a very generous donation to an upcoming fundraiser for a local charitable event. Not everybody is perfect. But when we acknowledge a shortcoming, and demonstrate the desire to be better, well that's a sign of excellence. Bravo to your store. I will be back!

I would love to give five stars but prices are a little high on shelf items, can goods, condiments, coffee, etc....Great prices on meats, bakery, hot foods, especially fish fries . good specials on deli meats. and prepared foods. Very seldom have fresh cut chicken wings which I would like to have available. Good hours , fast check outs, friendly service.

Needed a few essentials and did a quick in and out. There is a disinfecting station as you walk in with spray and paper towels. People moved around the store keeping distance and everyone was wearing a mask. Found what we needed and went to check out where the floor is marked for distance. We have no problems going there for our needs.

I went in there on 11/25 and was stopped by someone named Frank and asked to get off my phone before being asked if I was "the competition." When in went to customer service to speak with a manager Frank showed up and listened for a moment beforr he told me that that isn't how the situation happened. When I asked why I was stopped, Frank explained that it was because i was on my phone and was talking prices with an ad in my hand. Strangely enough I was the only one with an ad on my phone who mentioned prices because I was the only one stopped. When I called to speak with the store manager I was told he wouldn't be doing anything. Moral of the story: You can be profiled, and harassed for no reason other then speaking on your phone with an ad in hand. Then get called a liar by the store manager. Apparently this business suspends your right to free speech when you enter the doors and the store manager won't do a thing about it. I'll be bringing my business elsewhere for now on and I'll urge everyone else to do the same.

Great smaller grocery store. Yeah it might not have a million options for each item, but it has what you need. Prices are good. Their deli/bakery/and meat department are where it truly shines. I'll say that I think they have the best meat department of any grocery store in the WNY area.
