A shame to use the name Venice. And seeing reviews of 5-star Italians is terrifying.

Cool area. Unfortunately cars can get there which is nonsense.

Okay a lot of people don't know about this spot. It's one of those little hidden gems in Los Angeles I love this area I'd love to own a home here it's a great little walking and sort of romantic. Depending on when you get there. Night times a little more romantic and it's usually safe. I take 99.9% safe

It is absolutely necessary to stroll on these channels when one comes to Venice!

Quite unusual and well maintained is this place that takes the name of Venice but in an all-American version with the canals that form a nice square grid as are the streets of their cities, certainly not like those of Venice. Anyway to see

Really great place to take a stroll lovely views in the bridges are amazing. It s kind of hard to park around here but if you park on the street it s a really nice walk. Sometimes during the holidays around Christmas the residence decorate the bridges and the houses which is really spectacular at night. The area is generally safe and is a great place for photography during the day

Surprised how few of the residents were out and about! There was no one boating the canal, granted it was low tide. Fun to walk through though.

A true hidden gem. This tucked away little section of Venice is one of the most unique areas in the city. Beautiful homes line the only 6 remaining canals, and walking paths allow people to get up close and personal with the homes and the waterways. The canals do go up and down with the tide. Try to time your visit with high tide, it'll make a world of difference for your photos and general experience. Grab a coffee and head over in the morning (9-11am) to avoid larger crowds, but the canals never have the same level of craziness that you find by the beach. It's a perfect spot to walk around and talk with a significant other. Please try to be considerate of the neighborhood though. Peoples homes are right by the walking paths. So try your best not to peer into someone's home or be super loud in the early/late hours.

Nice and cozy place. Parking is very easy nd free. Highly recommended.

I visited the canals for the first time and feel in love with the beauty and atmosphere. I was actually surprised at how clean the water was and the surrounding homes just took my breath away. It's perfect for a lover's stroll, I can't see anyone not enjoying this beautiful place.

Peaceful setting without much of any contrived excitement. Just off the beaten path, this is a wonderful place to take a stroll.

We don't understand what all the fuss is about. If you own a house here, it must be nice to live in this area. But from a tourist point of view? Really not worth the drive

Nice neighbourhood, but water levels are very low and apart from nice houses and some arching bridges there is not much to see. Where Venice beach is crowded and loud, this is much calmer and invites for a stroll.

An absolutely amazing place in Venice Beach. A lot of houses spread around canals. The place must be very nice to live. It is a short walk from Santa Monica beach. We are far from the tumult and roads. A real breath of oxygen. The channels are missing a bit of fleet ...

Beautiful houses but the water is always a bit dirty. I never been attracted to watch more than the first street closer to the beach. I'd rather walk there

Beautiful place to go for a walk whether it's during the day or at night. The surrounding houses are all so unique and different from one another.

At the beginning of the last century, some tobacco mogul decided to make little Venice in Los Angeles. They dug channels, even gondolas from Italy were brought . Now they stand idle in the dust, the water blooms from the heat, there are many mosquitoes, but the views are very beautiful.

Beautiful place to walk to get garden and patio inspiration. Lines of amazing homes on the canals; such an interesting place with a rich history. Must see.

Beautiful location. There are so many lovely plants from the gardeners, as well as having clean and safe walk ways. The bridges are gorgeous and the people staying at the homes are respectful of all the tourists. I loved photographing this location and is a must see imo!

Promenade along the channel will bring you a lot of pleasant impressions from buildings architecture, front yard micro landscaping and during Christmas the light decorating. This one is flamingo style - even a Christmas tree.

Make sure to come by and take a stroll in the Venice Canals. It s a great evening or morning spot to get photos taken. One minute you can be in the busy Venice Beach and the next here where it is so serene and relaxing.
