Fun place to see if you're in the area. Not sure it merits a visit all on its own unless you are particularly interested.

Great romantic place to take a walk and see the sunset....
Lovely place to have a walk and relax. I suggest visiting the canals during the sunset.
Beautiful serenity in the middle of L.A.
Would happily go again.
It looks nice !!!
We understand why the beach takes its name from these channels, replicas of some in Venice!
The canals are a little behind Venice Beach. There are not many people, the right is very nice to walk around, the atmosphere is pretty cool.
If you are already in Venice, it's worth a stop, but I wouldn't suggest taking a trip to Venice just to see the canals.
Visited while the tide was low so I don't think it looked as pretty as it typically does in movies. But it was a pleasant morning walk looking at the pretty houses I'll never be able to afford. I would recommend visiting on a weekday morning to avoid the crowds.
Enchanted place, to visit absolutely.
Full of beautiful and well-kept villas.
An atypical place, a true haven of peace, the sweetness of Venice Canals tempers the bustle of Venice Beach. Unmissable!
Really nice place, it is like Amsterdam+Venice, recommend if you have some extra time
Nice area, I recommend visiting it if it is cold or light rain.
Very pretty, quiet, two minutes walk from the noise and the crowd.
Quiet eclectic neighborhood in the middle of Venice
Worth a visit. Lovely quiet location away from the traffic.
It is very beautiful, although it is a small place, it is really very beautiful, it is worth coming
It's a beautiful place to get cut from the LA craziness.
Unique neighborhood. I loved all the plants, bushes, trees, flowers lining the walkways. Met residents walking dogs who were fellow dog rescuers and nice folks.
What a beautiful, quaint, romantic spot. Perfect photo backdrop. It was fun to walk up and down the streets admiring the views and architecture. A must visit for everyone. Note: it's quite small so it doesn't take long to visit. The beach is a few blocks away.
So nice great place to walk its feel that you are in a different country
Off the beaten path, good feelings, not over occupied and thus can be a quiet, safe and pleasing exploration
Nice House High Sky Canal Promenade A beautiful and picturesque place.
One of the many incredible places to visit in Los Angeles. I recommend taking a walking tour with DOWNTOWN TOURS (I am not affiliated with them) for a deeper understanding of the history of Venice. Or just walk through the canals. Beautiful.
Nice location for photo shooting. Little Venice, but water level is too low.
Great place to wander and watch the beautiful houses
Beautiful. You have an idea how beautiful nature is. Worth the visit.
Love what they have done with the place. Doesn't give you the Venice feel. But it's great for a one time visit.
Beautiful from afar, but very dirty up close. Houses are nice but the little boats, kayaks and other floating/sunken vessels are in disrepair. Would not get in the water.
This somewhat historic part of LA is a great place to stroll around on a summer afternoon. I say somewhat historic because the canals go back to the original Venice in America development of Abbot Kinney. The tiny Beach cottages that were originally built here have all but disappeared, to be replaced by a number of architectural curiosities and some decent houses. The canals themselves have been cleaned up, and walking along the narrow sidewalks you will see the houses, very elaborate gardens, a few rowboats and lots of dogs.
Really cool tourist spot! It was enjoyable walking along the canals and looking at the views. The houses there are so diverse and clean looking. If you're into architecture this place is a really neat place to visit.
Beautiful canal view in the historic district of Venice. Best place to visit on a weekend especially with family or a significant other. The canals themselves as well as the unique architecture of all surrounding houses makes this neighbourhood/tourist spot an amazing place to walk and relax. The serene setting of Venice canals make you forget the craziness of LA as a huge city. The best part is the proximity to Venice beach and a number of bars and restaurants right around the corner. I recommend entering the canals from the Washington Blvd entrance as the real views are from that side. I visit nearly every weekend to relax and destress.
Absolutely beautiful. We stayed in a hostel on the canals and the canals themselves were amazing, having ducks and being close to everything in venice. All the homes are very unique
A neighborhood built with canals instead of roads. Of course, why didn t I think of that? We came at sunset and it was a really nice peaceful walk. There were a lot of folks walking their dogs and spiders the size of tangerines.
Beautiful neighborhood. It s a little secret to be discovered by just parking and walking around!
I want to thank all the people who live here and haven't turned it into a gated community. Very quaint and relaxing to walk about.
This is such a beautiful peaceful quiet place! I found this spot on my way to Venice beach. I wish I could live here! I was the only one around at 6:30 am.
Very nice message
Good
I love it when I feel like I forget everything when I come to the beach
Magical place with its beautiful houses along the canals. Quiet next to the crowd on the way to the seaside
What an amazing place this would be to live. So beautiful. So peaceful. And yet so close to the ocean and the action of the Venice Beach boardwalk only without the lowlifes and the noise intrusion. This has now bumped Coronado in San Diego as the place I would most like to live in the USA if I won the lottery (or if Bitcoin skyrockets as high as some think). Of course living in a place so desirable comes with a steep price tag. Even the less impressive, run down bungalows go for millions according to a realtor I stopped and chatted with about the area. I hope the people who live here appreciate how fortunate they are to live in such a great place. Definitely visit if coming to Venice Beach and you appreciate quality real estate and architecture.
The one who called this Venice had never been to Venice :) I would better spend those few hours walking in the other direction.
If you want to take beautiful shots, it's the place to be. It's a charming place, you can go for a walk, or bike. Even though its man made, it's a nice place to visit when in the area #italywannabe
The Canals are just amazing! The houses around make a perfect scenery
Nice corner and walk in the middle of beautiful houses and canals! Few indications and no place to sit over a drink
Always a hit when I have visitors who would like to see Venice.
Nice walking down in the evening, particularly with the well kept gardens bordering each of the houses.
