Too many people at lobby ! Toilet cannot use after checkout.
But close to the surfers

Great and friendly staff. Concierge has always been very helpful and knowlegable. Great for your first stay.
Sometimes the other staff can get a little grumpy, but who isn't after a night of racing around.

We come here eveey year, the location is great, the rooms are enough. Nothing special, but who needs special -in- the room when you have so many things outside to go to?
Conveniently located near shops, attractions, a convenience store right next door, and next to that - a pharmacy.
Combine that with a relably cheap price, and the Mantra on View is a surefire way to kickstart your goldcoast experience.

So run down, staff don't tell you anything about the hotel even though you ask and they let people smoke on they balcony's which ruined sitting out there to enjoy the view. Give it a BIG miss.

This hotel is very good both in terms of location and room environment facilities. The most important thing is to have a superb view. Although not facing the sea view, it is already very satisfying.

I highly recommend this Mantra hotel in Goldcoast! My fav place!! I've already used this hotel a few times. Great views, enjoy sunrise and sunset from spacious rooms.

Koreans like to use it. It is near to tram, Kurusu. It is very easy to go to the airport, and it is not boring even if there is a weekly tourist area near the beach. I'm kind. It is recommended to have a clean view.

Be prepared to pay extra for WiFi, but good location

Nice place for an event but haven't stayed here. A little bit dated though.

The apartment we stayed at was more than accomodating for 4 people. We believe it couldve fit up to ten people with the couches. The room provided a nice view of the Surfer's Paradise beach which was beautiful to wake up to. There was also a nice view of the small amusement park next to the apartment and the overall apartment was nice and clean. The outdoor pool was nice though the indoor heated pool and jacuzzi were are bit foamy from all the kids that go there. It was a nice stay and we were given a car space as well to park the car within the complex.

Well located hotel. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Friendly service. I'd overall highly recommend it.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Aircon broken in room, was moved to another room which was fine but the other room's aircon didn't work either. Thick dust on aircon vents and hair on bed. Hotel very old and worn and pool and outside amenities are a disgrace and need serious attention. They should not advertise this Hotel as 4 and a half stars because it's not even close. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This is a typical man truck and staged like all Mantra hotels around the world. It is wonderful that it is so close to the beach the rooms are clean the shower and bathroom is nice and spacious and the staff working there are very nice and helpful. What we like most was the availability to the transport and to the main areas on the Gold Coast were easy to access

Staff was extremly friendly and accomodating. Shout out to the night staff for extra bed sheets .
Can up the cleaning game, mold and dirty vents.

A minute walk from the Gold Coast Haitang, the hotel is four stars, the former ANA hotel is good

Nice 3 to 4 star hotel. Rooms not really facing sea. Good food and conference facilities.

Very reasonably priced. Dropped in on a Friday early January and was still able to get a room at standard prices, unlike a couple of other large chain hotels wanting premium prices for their last couple of rooms. Will stay again...

We were very disappointed with our stay here over the Christmas period 2015. The staff were rude and could not be bothered to help in any way possible. We requested one the first night extra pillows and a blanket , after three further phone calls we finally received the pillows and extra towels, not a blanket as requested.
On the second night we lost all television reception , after ringing through again we were advised they would call maintained, one hour passed, I called reception again and I was advised there was nothing they could do until the morning. It was currently 8:00 pm and were looking forward to a quite night in watching a movie. Two nights later and our TV was still not fixed however, reception gave us no one answer but bullshit responses every time.
Upon checking out , we paid cash and reception tried to give my change to me in a foreign currency, after I advised her that I only accepted Australian currency she just laughed.
At this point I was far from being polite .

I will never return to this establishment.

Nice and clean, great function room area and staff were very nice and efficient.

The hotel was great, the only downfall is the elevator to enter the building from the Carpark is horrid

It's a fine hotel affordable to all budgets. Facilities are up to International standards as expected.

Uncomfortable bed, useless aircon which was preset so I couldn't turn down, no laundry in hotel with the staff telling me to walk 5 minutes down the road to use the public one, extremely basic amenities in room which basically consisted of 1 kettle and small fridge. The internet also left a lot to be desired with the free connection I was given consisting of 7 gigs for 6 nights either barely working or not working at all so luckily I had bought my own prepaid internet with me which I had to use instead at my own expense. So considering I could have gotten a fully equipped room complete with kitchen and free unlimited internet for the same price in another hotel which was only 8 minutes down the road it just wasn't worth the price and I won't be coming back. One plus though was 2 of the staff members who worked the morning shift were very friendly and helpful.

No free wifi in the room. No toothbrush and toothpaste provided. No curtain for the bath/shower but just a glass which covers a third of the opening so it s a near certainty to wet the floor from a shower. The male concierge who s also the wifi support person was not overly friendly.

Everything else was decent. The frontdesk staff was professional and willing to help. Best thing is the closeness to the beach which is a two minute walk.

Oh and be sure to not leave anything that s remotely valuable in your car if you re driving. It appeared that our car which we parked at the hotel s car park was broken into, and some personal items were taken. Generally speaking though, we did feel safe wherever we went in and around the premises.

This is such a small room for this money. There was no supply in the fridge. There was no utensils supplied and I would never book this hotel.we are from Auckland and I never had this much worse experience in newzealand.thought aussies got better.

Best price around for a big clean room two beds and the view of city. It s close to everything you need, restaurants, clubs and beach. To the Happy Friendly staff, I will definitely come back soon.

The price is relatively cheap, the only thing that is unsatisfactory is that the toilet is more sunny, and the rest of the service staff or the room is very good~ It is recommended to choose the sea view room! The scenery is very beautiful~

Great location & friendly staff. Only concern was no lift or alternate option from cellar but only staircase. It becomes difficult for those who can't take steps. I had baby trolley so had to walk up all the way back from cellar to main entrance.

This place is a good hotel it's a old hotel in surfers paradise good food and drinks great views of the goldgoast Queensland Australia from each side of the place it faces north and south so you get great views from the hotel whatever room you stay in being renovated at the moment which is long over due no pool and the kitchen is closed no room service they aren't telling you when you book as above good location when it's all finished it will be beautiful like it was

The hotel is located closed to shops, beach, tram stop and Cavil Avenue but there are major issues that needs to be highlighted.

We checked in just after 2 pm and there was chaos in driveway of the hotel as some drivers parked their cars for more than 15 minutes instead of picking up or drop off guests. Hotel staff made no attempt to control this chaos. We waited in the car on View Avenue for about 15 minutes and there were cars behind us all the way up to the beach waiting to enter the hotel driveway and blocking traffic on View Avenue.

Manta claims it is a 4-star hotel but there is not lift access to car park as lift was not working. Some guests had to walk up and down the car park ramp carrying luggages and it is extremely as the ramp is very narrow and pedestrians were forced to share it with cars.

Check in and check out is another issues and people had to wait long time. We signed up for Mantra web site and asked the front office staff to link our stay to the hotel but we were told they simply can t do this until their system is up and running. Why are you misleading the guest with FALE AND MISLEADING ADVERTISNG? THIS IS BREACH OF AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW?

There are 4 lifts in the hotel but they seem to skip floors most of the time and long wait for lifts up to 10 minutes.

Titles in the shower cubicle area has moulds on the wall and bedding and furniture are not up to 4-star hotel quality. More like a 2.5-star motel.

When we checked in our room was not properly cleaned and previously guest spilled some drinks on the table which was sticking on my fingers.

We stayed in many 3 to 5-star hotels but never had to experience so many bad issues.

Great for price, good location, but avoid in schoolies week.

We had the ocean view apartment on the 22nd floor. View was amazing! The rooms just were a bit dusty and a tad dirty, could have been cleaned a little better. The buffet breakfast at the nosh bar is really good!

only saw this hotel online. great view and really nice staff in the resturant. the front office staff need customer service training like explaining the hotel facilities. essentially we got given our key thats about it and the welcome we got. the pool well patrons look up high in the pool and see how clean the pool is. it needs a good health check if you ask me. so we spent our time at the public pools close by. the carpark connected to the hotel i wont even go there. so mantra a bit of work to be done for me to consider returning.the view was about the only thing that was good.

Booked directly through hotel and asked if they had their own parking to be told they had security parking. On check in rude girl at desk tells us we have to park in public car park next door as car park full and no one would have said to me that they had parking. After an argument she said they would get a spot for us . When we went into car park it was only half full. Staff member told me that they push guest onto public car park so staff don't have to pay for parking... Room had no water, milk or coffee in room. Good location but reception staff are typical gold coast snobs... This was a business trip as I attend the coast each fortnight but I will never stay here again...

The location is moderate and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

I rated it as a good hotel. A warm welcome with good and friendly service. Since I didn't spend much time in the room, I didn't really mind about a quite small space but love the ocean view and I think it's a good hotel to stay.

I booked for 4 days and i got the wifi there and i got 1GB which i think is a big rip off and the cleaners didnt take our trash but just made the beds, pretty big rip off if you ask me

Rooms are outdated and older. They should update and modernize the rooms a bit more. Location is decent and can't complain about the view from the balcony either.

Location is great to all that is available in the area, restaurants, beach and shopping is literally at your doorstep. About The hotel the rooms are dated, needs major updates, basic room nothing spectacular. The Wifi is limited the hotel only gives you a certain amount after you have exceeded that amount you will be cut off. The gym is a joke, but who needs a gym when you can run on the beach. This was a package deal, so my options were limited, so next time being familiar with the area I have a better understanding, everything was good, no complaints!

When I went to sleep there was no blanket on the bed and the next day I woke up, I had so much bed bug bites all over my body, I don't recommend this hotel at all.
