They are back in business. I went there for lunch this week and had excellent service, great food, well presented at a very reasonable price. I'm not from the area but will make an effort to go there each time I pass through.
I went to mama Francesca the service was excellent and the food was good I would definitely recommend to go to this restaurant.
It is a shell of its former self as Mamma Francesca 1.0 my wife and I would go almost every week. No longer the Caesar Salad was made wrong last time we went and the service was all but non-responsive definite no go
Amazing food drinks and staff! Overall just an amazing place. Very hospitable and the views are beautiful!! The bartender, Ricky is the best. I will be visiting again for sure!! Be sure to try their delicious fresh pizzas- to die for!!!

We had a nice extended family dinner with 11 of us and the food was very good and the service, courtesy of our waiter Marconi, was great! The facility is very nice too and has a fine view of the marina. The brick oven pizza and the veal francese were especially good.
We got the Father s Day/Sunday brunch. It was very delicious, lots of food. It reminded me of dinners at an Italian grandmother s house. They keep bringing you food, long after you re stuffed. Marco and Marconi are very attentive and very sweet, made our expierence amazing. Best Italian our group has had in awhile! You managed to please my picky Italian mom and grandpa, quite a feet. We will be back!
Been here a few times, they have great pizza. I just went for valentine's dinner with my bestfriend and my son, the swordfish was delicious
In this pandemic world we all live in, finding a restaurant to pick up food conveniently and quickly hasn't been an easy thing to do. So after years of driving by Mamma Francesca's but never eating there, I finally called to pick-up an order. I am so glad I did. I ordered a complete meal to take home and it was absolutely delicious. The food was so good I forced myself to save half to have it for the next day! If you've never stopped at Mamma Francesca's, give them a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed. They have tables outside. And who is the tall lady with the long brown hair? She is beautiful !!!
Service just awful. Our 3 meals subgrade. Did not measure up to all the rave reviews. Could not even get a cup of decaf coffee!

I give mama Francesca s 2 star only because I can t believe how much has changed since the last time I came with my wife 15 years ago. We decided to go since we use to live in New Rochelle and was in the area. Well first things first the food is not the same. We ordered the mama stuff chicken breast with completely dry spinach and not seasoned at all! We had baked clams and fried calamari both not seasoned at all! We even told the waiter we could not eat the baked clams cause they were not fresh and tasted horrible and sent it back. We ended up ordering a small margarita pizza at the end which was OK. We were in complete shock and will not be returning. Nick should invest in a good chef to bring back flavor and quality to the restaurant.

I went here in the middle of the week for dinner around 6pm. The restaurant was fairly empty. My party of eight enjoyed the food, but the restaurant seemed to be very understaffed. As we were seated, a few more parties came in. There only seemed to be one waiter, who was also responsible for working the bar. It took almost a half hour before we were even given the opportunity to order. We weren t checked on during our meal, and it seemed like our waiter was extremely overwhelmed.

NEVER EAT HERE! I ordered out and there was a long HAIR in my pasta. I called the restaurant 6 times and NO ONE picked up. I then drove back and was not offered a refund but was told i would be getting new pasta and a chocolate moose in exchange... instead of chocolate moose they gave me birthday cake from the person who's 90th birthday was there (i saw them bring out the cake when i was waiting for my food the first time). Horrible customer service and experience all around. Would give it a 0/5 if i could

Been coming to Mamma Franceska for years and although it s been renovated and has a modern look now, the food is still fantastic and authentic. We always start off with their amazing fresh bread- gotta dip it in the olive oil. Then a nice fresh salad. Cant come here and not have their fried calamari and fried zucchini sticks. If you like salmon, the salmon piccata is fantastic. They treat you like family here. Great Italian food.
This was my first time here so came in opened minded. I waited a good 5 minutes before being acknowledged. But still wasn t totally bothered. Then I sat down and everything took longer than the next. We had ordered mussels . The sauce was good but half the mussels weren t even opened. The baked clams seemed to be frozen from a box. They were still cold in the center.
Service was terrible. 1 server had over 12 tables.
Needless to say I will not be back. I gave it 2 stars bc the bread was good and the chicken dish was decent. The sauce on the mussels and chicken was very good.
They ended up comping the bad seafood. The waiter was really nice despite being over worked .

Food was good but service was the worst. Tjey were so under staff that the waitress had to come out and take my partys order. On tip of that we had kids with us i think they ran iut if reg. Fries because they brough out sweet potato fries with out even asking i mean its as if noone is running this place POOR POOR SERVICE SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY GO SOME WHERE ELSE... update just got the food and its cold. Came in on mothers day 2019 with a party of about 15. Its a rainy day and the place was not packed at all. Service was horrible, our waitress had an attitude from the start. Our orders were all messed up, sides came out way after our entrees were on the table. Soggy, oil drenched french fries, drink orders messed up and overall chaotic disbursement of food. But the cherry on top is that THEY CHARGE a SERVICE FEE to use your debit card. We had split our bill in 2 and one half of our party were being charged a $10 fee to use their debit card and the other half a $6 fee. Both bills were over $250.No service fee should have been charged! First and LAST time coming here.
The scallops were tender and delicious! There was a big party in the main room, but it didn't affect our service. Everything was delicious and served at the proper temperature. The waiter was wonderful!

Delighted to see the owner and hostess after months away. Loved their pizza from the new wood burning oven and calamari appetizer. Chicken martini and salmon piccata main courses were delicious, as was old stand-by penne alla vodka. Service was friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back!

Stopped in to grab pizza to go for dinner , if I wasnt pressed for time I would have loved to stay. This restaurant is set up nicely under moderate (intimate) lighting with soft music and an exquisite bar set up. Hostess attended to me immediately upon entry and put in take out order. Parking is in a general lot feet away from the door. The Margarita Pizza was excellent , its personal size but big on flavor , just the right amount of marinara sauce and the freshest basil leaves you've ever tasted. Will definitely be coming back for a sit in dinner with me wife for a full restaurant experience.
This place has bad pizza so one time I was home and my family didn't feel like cooking so they ordered from this place and two old women came to my door and pronouced my families name wrong and then on top of that they gave us a deformed looking pizza don't buy from this place bad pizza

Horrible reception from the start. The host made us follow her to the table then after a few steps stopped us and said we should wait. Came back to tell us to wait for 10 mins. Never detailing if there was a table or it's being prepared. Never went up to us again while we stand there at an awkward corner (no designated waiting area) with our two young kids. More than 10 mins just standing there, I asked her much longer, she said she'll check. (Mind you there were many vacant tables. There was a huge area with only one table occupied. The host even sat a couple who came in after us in a 6-seater table). Never came back to tell us any update when she said she ll check and instead went to the couple I mentioned to talk with the customers there. We decided to leave. I can't imagine how slow and inefficient the service will be if we stayed to eat.
The staff is very kind and helpful and work well together. They were very accommodating to the special needs of my family. The view and the food were also very nice. Would definitely return.

I have gone to Mamma Francesca's for many years ever since I was a little girl and always loved the food. However, they closed the doors for a bit & did some major renovations. My boyfriend and I drove by and were surprised they reopened! We went in for some dinner and a glass of wine and I can say it's better than ever!
The inside is very contemporary- I loved it. It was given a well needed update. As for the food, it did not disappoint. I got the gorgonzola salad, mozzarella in carozza and my usual- penne alla vodka. I had missed their penne alla vodka so much. A lot of places tend to have their own way of making it and usually it won't be to my liking, but I've always loved Mamma's. My boyfriend got the bistecca pizzaiola and he loved his main course too.
The atmosphere was great and the service was good too. The staff was very friendly and the owner Nick even came over to us to talk to us and see how we liked our food. You don't really get too much of that nowadays so it was nice to have him check on us to make sure we liked everything.
Bottom line: I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be coming back! I'm so glad Mamma's has reopened!
This restaurant is amazing! Food is amazing! Try the lobster on Lobster night! Delicious! Nick- Owner, Christina, Marco & staff are all wonderful! Beautiful view of the sound also great to enjoy lunch or evening dinner on their outdoor patio! Hope you get to enjoy this great food like I did!
I was in the restaurant Saturday night the food is excellent I tried salmon picata excellent flavor and the service very very very good , Marco is very attentive and the drinks are very good and the bar tender is excellent ! I will continue going , beautiful place !
