Majestic Cafe Review

Lots of people but beauty. Food is not special, but delicious. There is a price point as well as the famous caffeine.

Good place
I had coffee with whipped cream. The exterior and interior of the shop were wonderful and I thought it was a high-ranking regular on travel information sites, but the coffee was surprisingly delicious.

If you come to Oporto a coffee, a chocolate accompanied by a toasty cake. Unbeatable service.

the place is really beautiful but you can t feel it if it s overcrowded. fish dishes was uber mediocre and too pricy.

A must see cafeteria for the aesthetics of the place.
The prices are somewhat "salty" but like almost all cafeterias of this same style and category.

They charged us 18 euros for:

2 Mixed Croissants
1 American coffee
1 coffee with milk

Truly majestically decorated, absolutely beautiful interior. Would recommend having a cup of coffee there for the experience.

A very nice cafe. Excellent service, wonderful interior, usually a lot of people and sometimes you have to wait to sit at a table. The prices are not cheap, but that's what it is. Advise

One of the most elegant places in Porto, very welcoming and excellent pastry

This is a high-end antique cafe. Everyone is friendly and the coffee and scones are delicious. (Portuguese coffee and bread are delicious everywhere) The price is twice that of other places, but I went in to feel the inspiration of Joanne Rolling.
There's a lot of time to find a vacancy, but in November, Porto wanders everywhere.

Nostalgia place to go see is the return to the great time charming place

Ashamed !! Not bad indeed at the level of the establishment but a real scam in terms of quality and prices ... theft! To avoid, a real tourist trap!

Nothing special. We went by the name it has. I have drunk coffee much better in other places of Porto.
The toast without more, overrated.
Its prices with the relation to what you take and the place itself take away the entire score.

Vintage, stopped in time. At the door there is a security guard who organizes the entrance of the clients since there is usually a huge queue (if it is a weekend or a holiday. The waiters are in classic uniforms.

It is not worth it because they were neither special nor anything good.
It has disappointed me.

The place is very stylish! During the day it is very crowded but we went after 10 pm and took empty tables, which was very good !! Excellent service with prices slightly above the city average. We had a complimentary cover charge (it was very tasty) and my companions, who asked for nothing to drink, got water. I would love to enjoy a good afternoon coffee, but it is always full ... just for that it does not earn 5 stars!

You have to eat the soft-toasted egg french toast, you don't want anything else!

Cafe full of history with an atmosphere that takes you to other times. Excellent service and reasonable price according to the place. An experience that you should not miss.

I had the olives, which were amazing, and an Oporto Passion cocktail, also amazing. Very friendly staff, and absolutely gorgeous cafe. Expensive, but worth it.

Excellent option for a coffee, or a hot chocolate. The French toast there is delicious, the best I've ever eaten.

It looks nice and the service is very friendly and good, but the prices are very High. One Nata 3 Euro and a small Cafe 5 Euros!

Good fries, excellent cocktails - although pricey -, efficient service. The interior is beautiful, the place definitely deserves a visit! Sometimes, they have live piano music :-)

Going to Porto without eating a francesinha and visiting Majestic is the same as not going.

The place is nice, the waiters and waitresses are pleasant. On the other hand, the wait to access the room and the prices are up to the success. In the end, not essential for a tourist who spends a few days in Porto. There are so many cooler things to do there.

The decorations is pretty. However, the price markup is quite high. A coffee is around 6 euro dollar and a pixel of cake is around 8. Comparing with normal price in Porto, for example, a coffee is 1.2 euro.

An architecture and environment worthy of the history of the place, being in Porto is worth the trip.

It's nice but seriously overpriced. You can get the same food elsewhere for half the price. The service can be very slow so that's not the reason for the price either. If you want the look and the experience, go for it. If you just want good food, there are better choices.

The popularity is very high, usually there is a queue, the decoration style is classical and luxurious, the price is slightly higher, and it is good value for money.

Beautiful decoration, nice stuff. But the food and drinks I have to say very normal. Scones even can t be compared with those that I used to buy in the supermarkets of London. Price was high considering the quality of food, but understandable for the history of this place.

Busy place! Try late afternoon for tea instead of queuing for lunch in the summer months. Terrific character with all that oak panelling and ageing mirrors. Lovely selection of light meals and cocktails if you want them. Staff are courteous with well spoken English. Also, the Harry Potter connection!

Visiting Porto and not having a coffee at Majestic would be having to return to this wonderful city a second time.

Very expensive and overrated ..... to see from the outside

Crowded & waiting in queue to go inside. However impressed with ambiance, perfect service and good quality of the food for our late lunch. Prices are OK for such touristic place...

Loved the atmosphere and the food. Wonderful service. I was lucky not to have to wait long in line. Well believe me there's a lot of queues for being a good place for coffee, lunch or even afternoon tea.

Coming at off-peak hours there is hardly anyone. Interesting because very old places however if you want to eat as a vegetarian it will be complicated

Charming place with a decoration that takes you back in time, the coffee is very good and the price is not exaggerated. A highly recommended place if you go to Porto.

Awesome service, when you go to the soup, you will introduce the soup that you like the most. When you order a pasta, you will take the initiative to split the two.

Put your head inside the room to see the furniture and run away with legs raised .. an espresso 4 euro and a pastel de nata 3 euro !! Not even in Porto Cervo !!!

The place is very beautiful, and the service is kind and welcoming. We tried the scones, which were excellent.

We liked it but it is not to charge a ticket to see it, and if you have a coffee 6 eurazos ... that's the cheapest.

Way too expensive: 2 water, 1 coke, 2 sandwiches and 1 Croissant: 47 for six slices of toast bread! I like to spend money on good and speacial stuff, but this food was pretty standard and made of cheap products. Anyways the staff is very friendly and kind to kids.

Nice emblematic place to have a coffee but with two bad things very expensive for middle class and if instead you have very high purchasing level it will also bother you that so many people around taking photos to the place, which loses the class.

Overpriced and distinctly average food, I doubt any locals frequent here. There are far better and far cheaper places in Porto.
