I wish I could leave zero stars.
I wish I could leave zero stars.
I have been looking for a new apartment in Fountain Hills and recently came across a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom, less than 1000 sq ft, apartment on Emerald Dr for $975 a month which is within the price range I was looking for. There would be 3 applicants, and we are all over 18, with full-time jobs making over minimum wage, in Fountain Hills.
Upon viewing the rental criteria through Kern Realty, I came to find that the base monthly income requirement PER applicant is 3 times the rent, meaning my boyfriend, my roommate and I would need to bring in $8,775 a month combined (or $2,925 each) to qualify for this shabby apartment.
I have never heard of this in my life or anywhere else in town.
I understand having an income requirement, but to require NINE times the rent because there are multiple applicants?? For an upstairs apartment that looks like it hasn't been redone since the 80's?
Come on. That is incredibly unrealistic.
I don't know of many young people in Fountain Hills that make $2,925 a month, including myself! I work 2 jobs, both paying OVER minimum wage + monthly recurring commission and I STILL don't make $2,925 a month.
Poor management, and unrealistic qualifying requirements.
