I went to Mainfreight on Monday the 13 of January 2020, to collect some purple heart wood that was sent to me from New Plymouth. I didn't know where to go and ended up in an area that looked like a canteen. A very lovely lady got up from the table and came over to assist me. We showed me the direction and explained how to get to the reception area.
When I got to the reception the lady there was very friendly and helpful. I told her I don't have My tracking number but I know my parcel is there as it was there when I phoned them that morning. She asked me for my name. She found my parcel on the system and told me where to go to get it.
When I phoned that morning to find out if my wood was there, I told them I needed to cut it shorter as it was too long for my ute and the cops would pull me off if I attempted to transport it in full lengths. So when I got my wood they had prepared a area for me to work one guy even assisted me.
You could have knocked me down with a feather. The staff at Mainfreight are awesome. Very friendly and helpful. Was a pleasure to to business with them.

The team has always moved our stock efficiently, sometimes even under time constraint. Stocks are well looked after during transit unlike other companies that cram them together in order to save space/cost.
Kani at Mainfreight customer services team today, provided me with her excellent, friendly prompt & efficient customer services. I purchased few items and Mainfreight provided delivery services. I found "Mainfreights" service extremely Professional & prompt, keeping me well informed of my delivery. Very impressive. I highly recommend "Mainfreight"!

I rang Customer Service this morning and was immediately blown off when I informed them it's a gym equipment sitting in their warehouse for 2 days now, and then I was told it's a non-essential item. It's beyond the scope of Mainfreight 's practice to determine who needs physical rehabilitation, so you do not get to decide what items are essential or non-essential. We appreciate what you do to get goods to people but please don't make that decision not to make a delivery because you have decided yourselves the item ordered is non-essential. Consult your customers people. I have been waiting 12 days for this rehab equipment and no one is communicating clearly. And to think you charged me $47.86 for shipping and handling. I'm truly truly disappointed.
I have had an extremely poor experience recently with the Auckland branch of Mainfreight. We felt that we were overcharged for some freight that they moved for our company, but when I tried to query it all I got back was condescension, even downright rudeness. They were not prepared to even go into discussion with us about why we felt that way. It was altogether unpleasant, and extremely disappointing that we could not even get them to engage with us in order to get it resolved.
If I could give 0 I would - absolutely useless service. Have been calling them everyday and was told it will be delivered tomorrow and never came. Got phone call today at 4:40pm told me that they lost my delivery.
Waited 48 hours for a heavy quote no reply rang up was given quote over phone went in to office paid got invoice next day was contacted saying they could not do the job waste of time and worst service ever

I was highly disappointed with the delivery guys unprofessionalnot not following government rules and regulation regard to mask and gloves covid-19 , coming to my house to deliver my package and asked me to be quite And keep away from them 3 metres, I was on my doorstep, when I asked him to take the empty boxes of the washing machine and refrigerator , they were not very happy, there were unprofessional very aggressive highly not recommended A-A-A-
Ordered a basketball hoop online. To make the long story short, the package has been picked up last friday 20th of November and I had a confirmation text on the 25th that my package is on the delivery truck. My wife got a call and was told it will be delivered on the 26th. So she didn't go to work and wasted a day waiting for my package to arrive, but nothing came! Then she rang Mainfreight got promised it will be delivered today 27th because we have people coming in tomorrow to get it installed. Guess what? No show again and when we called in, we are told it will be delivered tomorrow! Let's see if they actually fullfill their promise tomorrow. Quite disappointing specially when the delivery ETA should be 2-4 days.

Absolutely NO SERVICE and given the wrong information which forced me to drive an additional 30kms at 4pm in Auckland traffic..... Having been a mainfreight account holder for years... I will be looking elsewhere and sharing this message with as many as possible.
The freight charge on account for a small 20kg drum.of non dg depot to depot ended up being a disgrace at around $72 dollars...... Bitter taste..

Depot is okay. Would have thought since it's there mother hub that it would be a lot more bigger for trucks to unload and get loaded.
Having 2 warehouses so close together sort of confuses everyone they both said it was dropped here but now on a truck to the other warehouse
Brand new tool box securely packed, when I received it tool box broken and tools missing. Very irresponsible company, promised a time to delivery and never came, had to call over 3 times, and nobody will take this case had to wait and wait over the transferring calls. DEFINITELY would not choose this company ever again!!
Dangerous driving with illegal plate at the back! I was driving nicely on 05/01/19 down Sth mway and this truck tailgate me 3 times and horned me! This was so dangerous! I wasn't slow as the mway is always busy. I then let him passed me and there was a kid sitting on the pax seat looking back at me. This truck finally went off ramp on Mill road. I couldn't get anything on this blurry plate and it looks illegal. Mainfreight you let such a lunatic driver to drive your truck you are the criminals!
Rang me at 7:30am...your pallet is here...ok hold it at depot and I will collect...arrived at 9 am...half an hour later they cannot find...2pm pallet found...why so hard...the clever slogans are only marketing ploy...mainfreight certainly don't apply them in the real world...what a shambles.
Hi, We had a very bad experience with Mr Raj Patel. He was so rude while wearing mainfreight company shirt. When we told him that you work for a valuable company, his argument was he wouldn't care about mainfreight. Since we were videoing him, we further asked him why he wouldn't care about this well known transport company, and he said why we talk about his shirts or company he works for and he used f words for mainfreight. We thought we should let your company know such a staff representing mainfreight company in our community he should be ashamed of damaging the good brand of MainFreight. I always have and will have a good image of main freight. I only put this review so his manager or hire manager would talk to him to respect company brand. Mr Raj Patel is your staff from 2013 according to his facebook page.
