Everything went so fast great doctors, nurses and staff they took very good care of me shout out to Dr. Rudolph he is a very nice man great spirit. Thanks everyone

I went with my 4 month old son to Pediatric emergency and spend here from 9pm to 7am to have simple tests to be done. It was not crowded, but blood work took forever, I guess there is no priority for infants when it comes to lab tests. I will not be back again!

Not a bad hospital, all procedures need to wait a long time.

The ER waiting room is sort of small and fill up quickly. The ER also gets filled quick since this is one of the better hospitals in Brooklyn. The staff is just so so, they really don't talk to you much but they are friendly when they do.

The worst experience i ever had in the er.
After waiting for more than 18 hours for a room, i gave up and asked to be discharged.
For your health try to avoid this particular hospital the doctors lie straight to your face and talk behind your back literally

How anyone can give this Hospital/ER anything above a 1 star rating is beyond me. I will try and keep this review short because I can write a Thesis. In December of 2016 my girlfriend and I went to them because she was pregnant and bleeding. She wasnt far along in the pregnancy as we had just found out about it 2 weeks prior.

We were stuck in a waiting room for about an hour only to be moved into a much more compact waiting/er room after. When I say compact it was either beds or 6 or 7 seats with other patients waiting. The HIPAA violations alone should shut this place down. When the nurse or doctor would talk to each patient around us there was no privacy and we knew each and everyones diagnosis which included an STI a gentleman was told in front of us. My gf was in pain and promised a tylenol which took just under 7hrs to receive. They ran 2 different blood tests on her which wasnt needed and purposely left the IV in her arm although it had been empty and dried out for hours because they didnt want us to leave without her getting a shot. Even though they knew she had no Insurance and I told them my blood type and she wasnt in danger. The nurse's reply were no one pays their Hospital bills and we didnt have to worry. Nothing but unpleasant, unprofessional, and quite frankly traumatic experiences all around. My girlfriend hasn't been the same since. Shame on the staff and the way this place is set up.

There are fewer and fewer choices of hospital in Brooklyn due to closure or consolidation. Having tried all of them for various reasons, I can honestly say Maimonides is the best. They have a great attention to detail and a whole host of really good doctors associated with the hospital who are on call to come and consult about your condition. It is one of the best hospitals in the whole of the US as well for the treatment of heart conditions, which is what I have. Their cardiac ICU is amazing. The only downside is the emergency room is usually full to overflowing, and getting a bed / room if you have to be admitted can be a really long wait. But with such a large catchment area with so many elderly people to care for, this is understandable. I have never had cause to complain about any of their bills or report them to the insurance company for inappropriate charges. Everyone is very professional and takes pride in their work. Weekends can be a bit weird because it is an Orthodox hospital, so if you go in on a Friday, don't expect anything to get done until Monday afternoon at the earliest. But a hospital is a place to rest and be cared for, so while it is not as nice as being in your own home, be a patient patient and do what has to be done to get better. All of my family use this hospital as well, it is so much better than Lutheran or Methodist, so if you have a choice, look for Maimonides doctors and get any procedures done at the hospital.

The worst staff I ve ever seen on the fourth floor in the cardiology department! Nurses are lazy and rude!!!

These people are baby killers . Any hospital with midwifes that tell u not to push when a babys head is out is clearly should not be delivering babies DO NOT DELIVER YOUR BABY HERE rip vylette

ATTENTTION PEOPLE PLEASE: this hospital is forcing patients to give them 5 star bcoz they knows that there rating and feedback is bad. Pls be honest bcoz with your honesty. You can save someone s life let s work together and be honest to human fellows. And make this hospital either shut down or they better improve themselves. Haven't been there in years. Some of the thing I read is NOT an emergency. Go to your primary first,.. emergency is a life or death condition that is what the ER is for

I can t expect the service to be this bad from such a huge size medical center. My mother suffered severe stomachache pain and we sent her to ER here. The first inspection from a staff(not nurse nor doctor) was 2 hours after we came in. We were told to collect urine and given the container. They didn t collect it after 4 hours. A doctor showed up 4 hours after we came in and just asked some basic questions. He just disappeared and no other doctors ever showed up. A nurse came and took some blood samples and the urine collected hours ago. 8 hours no treatment given, no suggestions, no diagnosis. I asked their nurses many times during the hopeless waiting. Obviously they don t care, none of them did, telling you they are busy and you got to wait.

3rd class hospital ever .. 3 doctor comes us and ask the same question over n over ... if you even die they will barely come and help you . It takes 6-7 hours for you to see a doctor

There is a nurse name Lindsey in labor and delivery Dept is fantastic and professional. She is well trained and super nice. Well done. Lindsey

The emergency room is overcrowded and very disorganized. My mother was sent to the emergency room by her oncologist due to low blood pressure and heart rate. she was placed in the crowded emergency room with patients coughing all around her. I needed to explain to the nurse that my mother was receiving chemo and her immune system was very week therefore she needed to be moved. A scan was requested at approximately 9:00 pm at at 2:00 pm we were still waiting for her to receive a scan. I was told there is only one scan and if an emergency or trauma patient comes in, patients are bumped. In humane conditions.

worse place .. this not a hospital .. its better to be at home than come to these animals.

BEWARE !!!!!! of the pediatricians in Maimonides Medical Center as they might say that the parents are wasting there time by bringing your child there and then turn around and call ACS to have the parents kids takend away from them and say that the parents are crazy and they violated my hipaa rights so far warning !!!!!!

Disgusting! We were on 8 floor ... NOBODY clean bath rooms! Shame on this Center! Its administration MUST fire so called cleaning staff.

My review is mostly for Dr. Gregory Cooke and his team of surgeons. Dr. Cooke performed open heart surgery (Aortic Valve Replacement) on my
husband. Dr. Cooke was magnificent. Answered all out questions before surgery, was so caring and understanding to my fears and reassuring so much that I was as confident as he was that my husband would be fine.
His entire staff after surgery was wonderful. I can't thank them enough for all they did for me and my husband and will forever be grateful. He gave my husband a second chance to live. God Bless You !

Maimonides Brooklyn failed to properly diagnose a family member at their emergency room. Don't go to emergency room here, doctors will treat city workers but not private employers.

3rd delivery there. 3rd time being treated like ROYALTY! Nurse Atwood is a GODSEND

Amazing place for pediatric emergencies, especially trauma! Have never seen so many specialty and sub-specialty doctors carrying for a child, A+ care all around!

Great doctors, Great Maternity and Cardiac Units. However, the emergency room is terrible, and the quality of nurses leave much to be desired.

I would rate 0 stars if I could, this hospital has the rudest staff, horrible maintenance, dirty cafeteria, and the most snobby doctors! My grandmother had surgery, and while we were waiting for the doctor, we asked if we could have a blanket for her, and they refused to give it to her. They have a horrible organization system. If you would go in there, you will see it for yourself. Crowded rooms, the Recovery room smells like urine, her assigned room in the surgical wing smelled worse, there was no medical attention whatsoever, There is no one who speaks Spanish there, she called for someone to go change her diaper, and no one came for the whole night and she got a UTI. They are capable of leaving your loved one is a diaper for the rest of the day if they would. There are not many nurses there, and if there is, they will give you dirty looks, rude attitude, and look at you like if you had two heads when you ask for help. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE TO THIS HOSPITAL!!!!!! DO NOT SEND YOUR WORST ENEMY TO THIS HOSPITAL, PLEASE< GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU CAN.

This is my honest opinion about this hospital. My current close family friend had stage 2 lung cancer which later on progressed to stage 4 as of right now. Now I m wondering how can someone who is repeatedly getting their medication and during the span of three months progressed this quickly? That s probably because they didn t do anything. The doctors there walk around acting if they re better than everyone else because they have a medical degree. If I had the ability to revoke it I would. One of the doctors there had to put on a safety gown left the room and came back in. That is unsanitary and disgusting. An innocent mans life is on the line because this hospital couldn t hire the proper doctors. When they came inside the room, none of the doctors had compassion, not even one smile on their faces. This is how they treat a dying man. I m truly disgusted and sad. Please for anyone who s reading this don t take risk of losing your loved ones. This is a heartbreaking story of an innocent man who had a chance of living and now is waiting to enter heaven.

Horrendous Labor & Delivery Unit. My wife was refused bloodwork and pain management from the moment we walked into the unit. She was forced to give birth without an epidural. Apparently things were moving too fast as their nurses sat idly chatting and laughing at other matters and looking at their phone.

My siblings and I were all born in this hospital. Throughout the years (I am soon to be 29) my family and I have all gone here for every hiccup, illness or treatment in our lives. This includes family therapy, cancer treatments (breast cancer), bronchitis& other more common illnesses, lamaz classes & obgyn services.

Also in 2012 I had my identical twin girls here. They were sooo incredibly sweet to my babies and I. My obgyn Dr. Berka is the one associated with this hospital and he is an angel on earth.

I understand that some people can and have experienced something differently. But it truly is an amazing hospital. Continue to do your research and you'll see that there are MUCH more pros than cons.

My daughter was born here in August 2016 and the place is/was the worst. We wandered around looking for someone for about 20 minutes before stumbling across the waiting area for the maternity ward. It took about 2 hours to get a room (shared, no other option). By the time we got in there, my girlfriend was going into labor and wanted an epidural, but the lack of staff meant she was too far into the process by the time they got in there to give her one, so she went through the whole thing without much more than an Advil.

Avoid this place unless it's an emergency.

My mom was in this hospital for 10 days 7 of those days were in ICU which I really have no complaint about but once they moved her to a different floor K5 area that is where the laziness started to poke its ugly head. Rude over the phone (Mr SS Ferguson) leaving my mom to sit in urine for hours, always telling her I'll be back and never coming back. ridiculous. The 2 stars are only because ICU was good, if not for them I wouldn't give them any stars at all.

As an emt I'm always impressed with the er staff. Would be nice to see a face lift to all Wards though, doesn't hold a candle to nyu and Columbia.

Security in facilities is sub part over all unfortunately and needs major boost.

A good place, judging from my own experience with surgery there.

The Emergency Room was packed like cattle.
Took a very long time until I saw a doctor. Customer service was not helpful or friendly. No one wants to go to this type of place but this one was worse that most. But I have been to worse and eventually it was ok.

Too many rude nurses in this hospital one of the is kesmahan

They allow really dumb idjits who are DOs (Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine) to intern here. Low quality people who are only trained in "functional medicine"

Grandmother had surgery here but didn t stay overnight so review is solely based on pre op and post op care. Had to wait a couple hours past scheduled surgery time but besides that overall very good experience. The nurses in recovery room are very nice and attentive to your loved ones post op. Surgeon was good and personally came to tell us our loved one was out. Also CNA was very nice and helpful with aiding my grandmother out the hospital and into car.

My husband was having heart issues and we went to the cath lab unit. The doctor was professional, caring and explained everything they did. After his angiogram, the nurse who was taking care of him, Lisa, was awesome. Kind, caring and the ultimate professional. A very positive experience during a very scary time.

The hospital is bad and does not care about the patient

Took my daughter there and she got excellent care. I felt like the nurses and doctors were very professional and highly courteous.

The Emergency was packed like cattle my wifes Dr told us to go there & we did & we sat there for 5 hrs Ive could of given my wife Tylenol Plus Motrin we could of done that at home the PA who treated my wife was not compassionate enough thanks for nothing im writing the state licensing board to see if you should be allowed to practice medicine
