Magdalena Grand Beach & Golf Resort Review

I usually visit the hotel for breakfast or dinner. This time I went to Pembois for their buffet. It was Mexican night, food was tasty, staff was friendly.

Food was just alright..service was excellent.. Ambience was great

An excellent option for a getaway. Good facilities, picturesque grounds with very soothing on-the-shore-edge sea breeze. Decent meal options, clean rooms and friendly staff.

I have had dinner at the Kalina Restaurant , let me just say this restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Lovely scenery , dedicated staff and exquisite food. The host Dexton was extremely tasteful and customer oriented. Kudos to this place.

Could be nice but unfortunately needs a serious renovation. Old aircon system with mould is a health risk...

Pricy room service with overcharging not only for what they bring but extra $30 just to bring it (+tax)... This is a relict of the past when they were number one but now not appropriate.

The corrosion and decay caused by the salty sea spray is showing everywhere.

Very few TV programs and not even a bottle of water in the fridge. Only some Nescafe but no matching machinery...etc. To sum it up: bad management and not up to date. They need to get their act together or will go under...

Staff was helpful and pleasant despite curve balls thrown at them. Requesting salad dressing when there wasn't any usually served. Checking in early when their check in time was later. Unfortunately no one at front desk offered early check in as a viable option. One of our few critiques. Food was excellent. Bar upstairs with the balcony that overlooks the pool... Amazing staff. Funny, entertaining and thoughtful. They filmed us dancing and sang to us! (the name escapes me, but bar is across from the lobby if you approach from other side.)

Great Hotel. Well looked after. Excellent food and Cocktails.

Pros: The rooms were clean and comfortable, staff were friendly, location perfect, ideal for morning walks on the beach. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty.
Cons: We had to wait an hour pass check-in time as the rooms weren't ready. The hotel is dated and not maintained well. The beach was littered with plastic.

I would go again but they need keep on top of the maintenance and clean the beach more frequently.
