Nasty place to stay, I was on room 105 on May 5th, 2018.
They have bed bugs all over the place, I talk to manager and didnt take any action. Its disgusting, to have irritation all over my back and legs.
Recently this hotel was purchased by the current owners who seem to be making steady progress in putting in new fixtures and furniture in the hotel. Like most businesses you can do everything all at once and I understand that. But they are miles better than where they were. Recent reports from brides who have used this hotel have been very good. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, and rooms they had were clean. So far...so good!
Decent inn. Room was clean and comfortable, shower was hot and good water pressure. Breakfast options were very basic, no fruit or anything hot, just basic breads and cereal.
Nice, clean rooms and the staff was very friendly! The breakfast could be improved. They had cereal, but the milk was sour. There was an orange drink that tasted like Sunny D. The coffee tasted like the coffee machine needed to be cleaned. I remember there were store bought muffins, bread, bagels, and condiments for toast and bagels. However, it was better than no breakfast.
Low budget motel that is priced too high for what you get. Front desk clerk was friendly. Room amenities were practically non existent. No hangers, no coffee, creamer etc. Room could definitely use updating and a carpet replacement. Gap in door was 1/4" wide could see through it and the cold air was blowing non stop all night into the room.
When we got here they tried to over charge us by $20 (got price on the phone before arriving). We got in our room and it was very dirty. The light was a bare light bulb hanging from a cord. The toilet didn't work the entire visit and they never sent a maintenance person, after telling us they would. Then they didn't want to let us keep the plunger in our room even though we had to use it EVERY time we flushed. It was an overall bed hotel experience.
This place needs some major updates mattresses were just basically thick pads with sheets over top of bathroom and carpet look dingy like it been there for years really really need some updating
Everything was great. Rooms were clean. Breakfast even provided.
Not a good place, called 3 times and got 3 different quotes, the toilet wobbles, hair in the sheets and was told we have to clean our room ( take trash to the dumpster, towels all in the same place etc.. or credit card will be charged $150) for $85 a night.. no, clean your own room!
Fpr one niggt its 75 dollars i think one might should be only 50 dollars 10 for the bed 10 for the tv 10 water 10 electric
Worst Stay Ever!
We checked in at 5am on a Saturday and 5 hours later they called and asked if we were checking out at 11am (6 hours later!).
The room was hot when we got there and it smelled horrible, the ac in the room did not work right, the bed was hard and the front desk clerk was very rude when we checked in.
Got charged $71 dollars for 6 hours and checked in despite all the negative reviews...DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!
The experience was increased by management not offering a discount to stay another night or anything for return business, he was very rude and confrontational and just asked us to check out, so we left and will never let our family or friends stay there again.
Very unprofessional and unsettling experience, will be going to Farmington where the rooms are cheaper and better condition, not a way to get business.
This guy was nasty, he came down and asked us what we needed and the first thing he did was pick his nose and then touched the calculator, ugggh, that was enough for me to leave. And I was just there to help 3 homeless people and we immediately left
Simple motel. Standard rooms, house service is great but the breakfast is a little lacking. It's being remodeled and the landscape make it very cozy. I will be recommending this place.
Very comfortable beds, nice clean rooms and the water pressure is amazing
Very clean motel rooms! The staff was very accommodating and kind!! Thanks for everything!!!
The best I have serum in long time all is great and clean!!
This was a good place to stay. The rooms were clean, the Staff was very nice and accommodating. There was laundry at the motel. and refrigerators and microwave in room. The Msdison Inn Lodge should be considered for a stay. If doing anything in the area.
Due to some of the poor reviews the boyfriend and I have seen, we brought a good quality black light and trash bags to put our things in just in case the hotel was as bad as we'd heard. We did a thorough inspection with the black light before moving our things in, and to our wonderful surprise there were almost no problem spots at all. The only thing that lit up was the caulking at the base of the toilet, but I know that Lysol glows under black light, and it's awfully hard to rinse that out of the crevices of caulking. There was no sign of bedbugs, and the only bugs we found were two dead Click Beetles, but we were on the ground floor, so it seemed acceptable to me.
We had a nice flat screen TV in the room, and DirecTV to go along with it. I appreciated that the TVs weren't bass heavy or anything. The bed was nice and firm with plenty of support. It was actually a much better bed than the one we had when we stayed at a Hyatt in Nashville, TN. My boyfriend was impressed enough that he had to check and see what type of mattress it was to consider it for future purchase. We had a nice clean mini fridge that had more room than most mini fridges I've seen. I like sleeping in a cold room, and the air conditioner in our room was powerful enough for my taste. There was also a heating lamp in the bathroom, which I assume would be more convenient in the winter than in July... I turned it on for a second and it seemed to get warm very quickly. We were there on a Saturday night staying until Sunday, but the hotel wasn't very busy, and the noise was minimal (actually quieter than the apartment complex we live in)
The only downsides were that blackout drapes would have been nice, and checkout was at 11am. After swimming at the Offsets all day Saturday, it would have been nice to sleep a little later than we did. The continental breakfast was basic, but decent. Individual boxes of cereal would have been appreciated instead of bulk containers. Their website says they have free WiFi, but I couldn't access it without a password, and wasn't given anything to tell me what the password was. I could have gone and asked I'm sure, but it was late so I didn't bother. It's something to keep in mind if you plan on visiting though. Be sure to ask for the WiFi password.
The website mentions they have a pool, but we didn't check it out. I assume it's in the back because it wasn't immediately visible.
This hotel is conveniently placed for a trip to the Offsets, and there's a Dollar General within short walking distance or a two second car ride. There are also a couple restaurants to choose from for breakfast and dinner, though we didn't check for places that deliver.
It's no Gaylord Opryland Hotel but it's definitely a nice, clean, friendly hotel when you need a place to crash. I would absolutely stay there again.
Terrible customer service bed bugs were terrible pool is about rhe size of a bath tub
Nice for the money, not fancy but a good place to stay if you just need a room.
Great place to stay! Clean and neat as a pin, comfy bed, good shower, good coffee. I have to bring my own pillow everywhere I go, and I nearly left it had it not been for the housekeeper literally chasing me down to return it! Great service.
Not a bad place to rest your head but don't make it a habbit
Good hotel for the price, especially considering that it was the only hotel I could find in this town. Breakfast was basically a uninspired cold continental breakfast, but it could have been worse. The owners seemed a little pushy/prying when I told them that it was just me traveling this time, but I get that a lot. Women can and do travel by themselves!
It's worth it for a decent night's stay. Everything was as expected/okay, but nothing was over the top.
The people who operate this place are very disrespectful inconsiderate. The guy is totally a POS. But his girlfriend or wife is more of a hospitable person to conduct business with. The rooms were clean and what not but that guy is just unbelievable
Nice room. No breakfast or pool because of COVID 19
Standard no-frills motel, hot water with good pressure. Convenient location.
Great room for the price. The hostess at the front desk was friendly and knowledgeable of the area.
My room had older decor but was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, overall a very nice experience.
Very nosey owner, rude,I was wishing there was any other motel close
I don t typically stay in hotels like this but my truck broke down and I had no other choice I definitely regret it first off the bed didn t have a fitted sheet on the mattress it was a flat sheet there I saw hairs on the tub wall, it was dirty around the top of the tub, a couple ofthe towels were a dingy white, the top decorative cover on the bed had cigarette holes in it..... I can keep going on and on just know I ll never come back here
Remodeled all the rooms with new carpets and all new furniture very clean, good service and very accomidating
Location was great. Close to the freeway and was far enough away where it was still quiet. Room was clean and comfortable. Room had a ton of room and all the amenities I needed. Would recommend
Friendly staff. Fairly nice rooms. Firm mattresses. I've stayed 3 times over the last 3 months. The price of approx $70/night seems a bit high compared to other hotels of similar quality. The bathrooms are super small and makes it difficult to walk in, close the door behind you without contorting your body in weird positions. Even more difficult while helping a toddler in the bathroom. Although it was a non-smoking room, there were bad odors wafting through the rooms. I believe I narrowed it down to the exhaust fan in the bathroom letting in smoke/odors from other rooms. There were large, noticeable carpet stains in front of bathroom sink. Bedside light shades were damaged (in all 3 rooms I stayed over various stays). Complimentary breakfast is not much to write home about, bread, English muffins, tiny muffins, cereal/milk, orange juice is all there is.The biggest issue was that during an online reservation, I received an email from the hotel asking me to fill out a PDF with my credit card information and email it back to them. I refused and paid cash when I arrived. Transmitting and storing credit card numbers via email is not safe at all and possibly a PCI violation. This caused me to not trust their credit card practices even when scanning my card at the front desk during subsequent visits.
The owners of the hotel were very helpful at a very stressful and uncomfortable time for me. They went out of their way to accommodate me and they did not have to. I had no complaints whatsoever. Not any problems with bugs of any kind smelled very nice and very clean very comfortable and they were very patient and understanding on the late check-out while I waited for my family to drive in from out of town to get me after accident on the highway. That would be my first choice hands down.
The room I was in the toilet feel very slowly it would take like 45 minutes for it to fill up so if you two or three people in there it would never work they need to work on their plumbing maybe replace their toilets
Nice large room, super friendly staff, clean room. Very happy with the hotel
Didn't say. Manager wouldn't even come to door. Motioned as if he was cutting someone's throat which apparently means we are full but there was plenty of empty parking and clearly rooms for rent but I guess he didn't wanna serve anyone at 1240 am
Simple but clean, friendly and quiet. Free breakfast was not fancy but good options. Will stay here again next time I'm in the area.
Tried to take advantage of women customers by jacking the price of the room up. Price on website says $70. Want 200 for 2 rooms.
Nice place to stay the night should you have to need a place to stay the night good accommodations
Very nice motel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and neat with plenty of room, even with the king bed. There was a dorm size fridge, which is very nice, and a microwave. AC was very quiet compared to most motels I've stayed. The room was a comfortable 72 degrees when I arrived. If I had one small complaint it was the bed was harder than I'm used to, but hey, it's a motel and you don't get to set it to your firmness. It's also conveniently located near Hwy 67, restaurants, Walmart etc. I'm looking for land in that area so will definitely be staying there again! It was my first time in the area and was originally going to stay at the Longhorn up the road a few miles. It was cheaper, but OMG!! If you'd seen that place you would know what I'm saying!! Stay at the Madison, I don't think you'll be sorry.
By far the most inconsiderate managment I have ever experienced.
NEVER STAY HERE!!!!!!
CRAZY BED BUGS! I stayed in room 108 it was INFESTED! Manager was rude and didnt do ANYTHING when i told him the beds were full of bed bugs. Would NEVER stay here EVER. Rude staff and HORRIBLE building condition. Im VERY upset to have paid the amount i did for literal trash.
Over priced, run down rooms that need a complete remodel.
Nice motel for the low cost. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was fine, and the wifi worked. We caught it the night before the solar eclipse so they were at capacity, but we booked in the morning and they were very friend and managed to swap us in to a non smoking room
Dropped family member off to stay the night, he said it was fine.
Owner is extremely rude. Everything my husband asked him, he replied with "sorry about your luck" . Wish there were better places to stay in Fredericktown.
Very clean and quiet. Had a pleasant stay. Plus the owner is renovating. Has free WiFi. They actually have three connections available depending on your room location. I've stayed here twice with no issue connecting to the internet on the two connections I used. Note: they have a very basic breakfast on the weekends only, but restaurants are close.
Outrageous to pay $80 for overnight they give you one tiny little bar of soap and Pat throwing arm syndrome when you asked if you can have an extra soaked they just 15 a little more friendly stuff I just feel like they think they're better than everybody else they are a family of RAM and the only only hotel in approximately 15 mile ratio and they know it
Place was very clean and room was updated, it was quiet very nice. Unfortunately there was no free breakfast like the internet claims due to co-vid19.
He rode his camel in and said check out was at 9. It clearly stated on the phone and in the inside of the room door that check out was at 11.
Good place
A little pricy for the town
The pool is never open, the staff has a pissy attitude.
A lot of bug beds . Went to the hospital today cause I wake up full of bites , 100% not recommend
The people who own and work here are amazing made us feel right at home
This place is often overlooked. Reasonable rates. Very clean. Good size rooms.
Kind of a dick about pets but nice besides that. Also didn't give us two beds when I asked.
Run down and not clean. The man at the desk in the morning initially lied about breakfast saying that they only serve on the weekends. All in all a shabby operation with nothing to recommend it.
We are staying here for 2 nights. Kind of stuck they wont refund. They are not offering breakfast as stated. There parking lot is horrible you need a 4 wheel drive to get in and out . I do not recommend this place to anyone. There website says breakfast and coffee not true but price is same.feeling ripped off.
There are so many things. No batteries in the remote, a horrible breakfast, flooded parking lot, no towels, holes in the wall, thin walls, wet feeling floors, and so much more. I kept a running list of things I hated. On the positive side, it has. Mini fridge and microwave to make up for the lack of breakfast options. And stores and restaurants are just minutes away.
Dogs are allowed with a small fee and it's only a short drive away from the Castor River shut-ins.
The overall stay was pretty good, there was a crack in the ceiling that looked like they tried to fix it. The breakfast wasn t what i expected. It was kind of plain. The cinnamon rolls didn t taste like a real cinnamon roll. The coffee was good enough.
The owners were very quiet.
An old motel, hanging on by a thread... in some friends' room the shower curtain just stripped out of the wall. In my room, the a/c barely worked and smelled moldy. The only option in town, but I'd drive farther next time.
Acceptable place to stay while in Fredericktown Missouri. Staff was very accommodating and helpful.
Rooms ok. Toilet plumbing not great. Doesnt flush always. Slight mildew smell. Clean otherwise
The wifi worked! Also the air conditioning was nice and fast. The bathroom was a little cramped but it wasn't terrible. In case it's important, the room had a door inside that could go into the next room.
