Beautiful cabins, most of cabins are next to the river. The county store has a wide variety of camping, fishing & groceries. They also have a great gift shop & fabulous ice cream you can get a cone or a bowl.
My favorite place! Good coffee, nice people, and good food!
THE best place in Cooksburg. Friendly staff and an amazing atmosphere by the Clarion River.
I love this place and I love the people who run it , they're always friendly, helpful and kind . They cabins are nice and clean and it's always a pleasure to stay here . Nestled on the clarion river the view is gorgeous and it's just a great place to relax and have some fun . They have a convenience store and gas station on site. I highly recommend MacBeth's Cabins for a weekend getaway !
Ive been going here since before I was even a year old I'm 15now and it's still my favorite place
Cool cabins , Great area if you like being in the woods which we love .
Actually went to MacBeths store & cooks forest. Which both are awesome
Cabins are phenomenal. The store is cute and had everything we needed that we either forgot or found convenient. Surprisingly not terribly over priced, either! Can't recommend these cabins enough
McBeths Cabins are in a beautiful setting along the Clarion River, which is about 20 yards from the cabin. The cabins are furnished and are quite cozy inside. The one we visited had 2 bedrooms, which will sleep 3 in each room, a bathroom, kitchen and living room with fireplace. It also had a wall heater in the living room. The owners are the nicest people and keep the cabins in good condition. I believe there is 30 cabins in all.
A very relaxing place. MacBeth's Cabins and the area have what you want. Wading, canoeing, crackling fires, bicycle riding and The Great Outdoors! Very Friendly Folks! The Cabins are comfortable the beds are very relaxing. I slept very deep last night.
Wonderful place - family tradition. Rustic cabins on the Clarion River, great activities in the area, super people!
Beautiful little country store with amazingly wonderful people!!! Thanks for an awesome first time at the forrest I will be back!
I love Macbeth's in my opinion it's the best place to stay in the area, I felt like family. I stayed here for two weeks on the off season last year, they took care of me like they known me for years. I was only supposed to be they're for 4 night but I didn't want to go home so I stayed for 9 more days. The fishing was great and I was literally fishing off the front porch.
A little too expensive, but a friendly, beautiful place!
We stayed in cabin 25 it had its own driveway separate from others and fit 12 people nicely we had our family thanksgiving there the owners are the most loveable people as loud as we was there was no complaint this one of the nicest cabins we have stayed at went to buy to at store and owners said nope on us the fireplaces worked well we had coffee pot toaster microwave stove and fridge had to bring our own pans and don t forget soap for dishes and wash clothes
Gorgeous place. Wonderful owner. Courteous staff. A great get away
Great little place! Cafe, camp store, gas station, gift shop and cabin rentals all in one. Can get a lunch in the cafe for under $6 per person.
Great little country store if you are camping in Cook's Forest. Fun wine tasting area as well.
Cool little store and gift shop. Good for last minute camping stuff. Great staff, very friendly.

Centralized in cook forest meeting place for everyone great ice cream and store highly recommended
Something for EVERYONE. Fresh coffee in the morning if you've been camping, then absolutely everything you need for your stay in Cook Forest.
The camp site had everything we needed as well as quick access to our canoe tour! The owners are so friendly and warm and the forest is enchanting!! The Tree Cathedral is truly a holy place!
Nice place to stay for a week or weekend. Cooks Forrest has seen better days it is not like it used to be. Some of the attractions have closed but there is still plenty to do. Hiking, kayaking, swimming, gocarts, and horseback riding to name a few. If you are looking for quiet then this is the place for you.
Everyone working there is helpful and nice, we're always happy to stop in for food and wine!
Look the place and wonderful people that work there
It was BEAUTIFUL there! The river can be seen almost anywhere from the cabin; and the Cooks Forest trails are astounding! God's creation is SO beautiful!!
Booked a cabin for a week in Cooks Forest at McBeths cabins and very disappointed when we walked in to the store where you have to check in and see only 1 out of 4 employees working there with a mask on. She happened to be a young girl. I Almost turned around and left. I also forgot my toothbrush and refused to go back in to the store to purchase one or anything else for that matter. We drove 20 miles out of our way to a Dollar General for any purchases we needed. Families were in and out of the store all wearing masks but not employees. Also no masks when we checked out For this reason we will never go back.
We unfortunately had to leave the night before checkout because of our baby came down with a fever. But Macbeth's is the best place to stay at Cook Forest!!! The family who runs it is lovely. Their cabins are the definition of social distancing. Great way to get away from it all lol
Lovely cabins on the river and nice shop for camping supplies.
GREAT PLACE TO HAVE FUN...NICE CABINS..GREAT PEOPLE.....I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR EVERYONE...A+A+A+A+
I love going there my dad used to take there cant wait till they have available cabins
Do not go here if you want to drink or party. Rangers are watching penalties are stiff.
Best cabins in Cook forest! Been coming here for years.
I am a very honest and creditable reviewer. That being said: DONT MISS OUT ON MACBETHS CABINS. YOULL BE SORRY!
Cabins were very clean and the owners were very helpful and friendly.
Update11/3/18: I came back up to the area for my birthday. During this time I was I need of some help and ran into some issues. The owners and employees didn't only help, but OFFERED to help. so much help that it made us feel as part of their family. Thank you guys so much for everything.
We stayed at MacBeth''s, we camped in tents. We truly enjoyed it there. Close to lots of things to do. Would recommend it
We went here while staying at another set of cabins to get a few small things. They are very nice
Didn't stay in the cabins but the store was nice and the service was great
Cabins are nice and well kept. More amenaties than I really need for camping but that is by no means a complaint.
Excellent location in Cook Forest close to a lot of the major attractions.
The cabins are great and the area is beautiful. Never had an issue with other guests either. I mainly wanted to write about the exceptional customer service I received. When I went to pay for my cabin, the card machine messed up and my card accidentally got charged twice. As soon as I realized this they refunded me the money and apologized. Once home, I realized my account had been overdrawn because of this charge and that the refund would take a while to get back into my account. I called my bank several times and they were unable to help. Mike MacBeth, however, took it upon himself to see what the charge looked like from his bank and was able to cancel it to get the money back into my account that day just so I could avoid overdraft fees. This kind of customer service is very rare, and I couldn't thank him enough for all of his help. I highly recommend MacBeths for the customer service alone, but the area is wonderful and the premises are kept very clean. Seriously...thank you Mike, you made the upcoming week a heck of a lot easier.
My husband and I got to experience MacBeth cabins for the first time. Unfortunately it was only for 1 night. I would have loved a week or more. It was so peaceful and quiet. The setting is just gorgeous. We got cabin #5 right on the river. The Cabin was clean and cozy. Snuggling by the fireplace at night was so relaxing. The staff were super friendly and very pleasant to deal with. I would recommend MacBeths in heart beat!!!
Nice cabins, but didn't care for the way that the sub contracted cleanup crew treated my family. Could learn to talk to people rather than talk at and down to people
My review is just of the country store! My husband and I were staying at a lodge down the road, and we stopped at this place while driving by just to check it out and ended up being really pleasantly surprised!! We had fun going through the "souvenir" side, picked up some snacks on the store side, and one of (I presume) the owners was kind enough to walk back with us to the wine shop in the back of the property so that we could sample some Cook Forest Wines and purchase a few. The wine store was locked up because of an AA conference either on site or nearby, but he was super friendly to us and I really appreciated him taking the time to let us try several of the wines. We ended up purchasing 3 bottles because they were so good! We grabbed some quick grilled dinner at the little restaurant, and it was cheap and tasty. The property is beautiful, and I definitely recommend stopping by if you need anything. They did have trouble with their CC machines (and the ATM machine) so come with cash.
Lots of tourist stuff. Out of bigger sizes. Out of some grocery items.
Amazing place great people to help with questions. Everything you need to have a great weekend is there
Been going here all my life, and never has the staff not been friendly. Comfortable cabins, beautiful views of the river (especially during September), and has good access to surrounding attractions.
It has nice cabins and the water is nice, many places for canoeing or kayaking
Beautiful place to go camping right next to the river
Great place to get away from it all in the heart of Cooks Forrest.
Been coming here for a long time! Great family owned store with all of your camping needs! The grill and ice cream are a great treat too! They have free wifi and a giant oversized swing to sit on to enjoy nature! We look forward to camping here every year!
We just spent a weekend there and it was AMAZING! The cabins and property are really well maintained, and the setting is beautiful. It seems like you can see the river from most of the cabins (we could from the.second teir), and while you're close to the other cabins, you're not right on top of them, so there's still a sense of privacy. It's also a huge plus that they are dog friendly. The staff are all really nice and even let us borrow an axe when we forgot ours. Would definitely come back again and recommend staying there!
My family used to go every year since my dad was born. Really miss the week long vaca here. Hope one day I can start the tradition again! I would recommend MacBeths to anyone, great cabins, great service, great staff.
Store is very nice and recommend anybody to stop there and check it out.
Very relaxing. Saw bald eagles every day. The only bad thing is that the water smells like eggs (sulfery)
Always friendly staff, very helpful. Small camp store with some necessities available.
Multiple family activities spread across the facilities.
This is my ninth or tenth year at McBeths. Great vacation place. Clean, dog friendly, and pleasant personnel. Like coming home. Family oriented. Lots of activity but quiet at night. Hope to come back at least twice a year for as long as I am able. Owned by original family, I think. The store has most of the things one needs but forgot to pack. Hope it isn't ever sold to a larger firm.
.
Always enjoy the rustic cabins and the natural beauty. Staff is always great too
