I love this place. Truly captures the Austin feel. They do have costumes that fit most sizes. Not allowed to take a lot of pictures though

Very cool store! Tons of stuff. We were there for an hour and I still didnt get to see everything. The staff is exceptional! They'll help you find whatever you need whether it's for a costume party, halloween or just vintage wear. With the store being so packed, it was very clean and organized. Also, make sure to look at how the inside is decorated... very eclectic.

Meh. Came in to browse and check it out. Had some pretty cool costumes. WAY overpriced though. A simple dress was $90 bucks. So we went to Goodwill and found my daughter a dress for 15 bucks. Score! This place is neat to look around but I definitely wouldn't purchase anything here.

Quite simply, best place to visit in Austin if you're looking for a costume. It's fun to walk around in, even if you're not. Very helpful staff, amazing variety of costume options.

This is my second time here and just as the first time it was awesome! Although times are different with the pandemic they still had such a great attitude and were so helpful!! They helped put together really awesome costumes for us for tonight and very budget friendly. Everyone there contributed something to add for our costumes. Great staff!! Thanks guys!

You can purchase or rent almost *any* type of costume here. A blast to just window shop too! One of the most interesting stores in the city!

This place is amazing! The people working there are INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful. Everything you could imagine for a costume or hair and makeup is here. Even jewelry, masks and toy weapons are for sale or to rent! They even have a Halloween season rental deal. It's my new favorite dress-up store!

Lucy in Disguise with Diamonds in Her Eyes is an experience you really have to have if you're in Austin Texas. They have the most amazing costumes and jewelry and some wonderful employees that will make sure you're outfit is absolutely perfect. You can rent or purchase most of the items that I looked at. It really is beautiful. You should check them out!!

The staff members here are the best. They helped me put together an awesome circus theme party costume and it was a big hit!

I've gone here for years for Halloween mostly and have had nothing but great experiences. When friends visit, it is a must go place to show in Austin. Definitely on the pricey side but I've not been disappointed with my purchases and on the contrary, always made the best of memories. Love Lucy in Disguise!

I wish I lived close enough to use this place all the time! You want it, they have it. Masks, prosthetics, make-up, costumes, embellishments, jewelry. All shapes, sizes or costumes. this is the kind of place that building up over years and just doesn't pop up over night.

This place is amazing! We were looking for a "look" for a photo shoot for my brother, who's a songwriter. The customer service here just blew us all away! They were all very attentive, efficient, and most helpful. We thought we'd have to go to several places to find everything on the list, and spend a few hours. These people made our search so easy and fast, we had time to mess around Austin for a couple of hours. I highly recommend this company for all of your costume needs. We were buying, but you can also rent. Also, LOVE their name!

Very friendly staff and they have *everything*! It is fairly expensive, as costumes are, but if you're having a difficult time figuring out what you want to be for Halloween or any event, this is one of the best places to go to get ideas.

If you need anything for your Halloween costume, I would be surprised if you couldn't find it here. Just make sure you get it before October because the lines will be out the door the closer you get to the 31st.

I got a second hand 100% cotton cowboy shirt with pearls for $40. Certainly gonna wear it off Halloween as well. It s ducking unique.

What a great store! We were on a mission to find clothes for the renaissance. Upon walking in the store, we were greeted immediately and the sales associates had great customer service. I had multiple people help me find everything I needed, and even managed to piece together a beautiful costume for the faire. My friend found a belt she loved on clearance, but it was broken. The manager discounted the belt even more because of the damage. Amazing experience all around. :)

Lucy's is a great costume shop for cheap. Their quality isn't performance level (check Costume World near Burnet/183 for that) but it is well priced, varied, and modern. If you want to dress as a staple or contemporary character you won't have any problem finding the costume and it's varied accessories here. As mentioned, the store is very cluttered so take your time looking or ask the helpful staff. One note - if you're a size small you'll have problems finding clothes in here as they mostly carry mediums and larger.

Wacky costume shop. Go here for your next theme party.

If you can't find a costume here, you aren't trying! Very reasonable prices.

Don't be afraid to find a staff member and tell them what you're looking for--they're great at coming up with ideas on how to achieve what you want and can actually find everything in what looks like a hoarder's delight!

This store is worth a visit. Even if you don t need a disguise, you will walk out with something!

What did I see when I walked in? Droves of used clothes that made me wonder about Lucy's cleaning policy. Will I get pubic lice or scabies if I try on a costume? Even if the answer is no, your prices are really *high as diamonds*.

Massive and packed. It is a destination for costumes. Be prepared with patience and an idea of what you're looking for so you can make the most of your time. Otherwise, you'll be overwhelmed.

I absolutely adore Lucy. Just being in there to look around for fun is a blast, but also I know that if I ever needed any type of elaborate costume, this was the place to go. It wasn't until recently that I needed a costume for a cover band I was in as Wonder Woman that I went in to find the right look. I was immediately assisted with all the right accessories and found a costume that was a happy medium between too modest and a hooker! The price was around 100, but it was for keeps so I can't really complain. The prices are high, but for a high quality costume for something you need for work or a show, it's the place to invest!

Almost every costume possible is available her even if they are sometimes very hard to find. This is a maze of costumes. But they also have a wide selection of wigs, makeup, and other accessories to make you night something to remember.

I came here looking for a WW1 costume for my friend's wedding. Those of you who are Friends fans may know why, for the others, why aren't you watching Friends? WW1 clothing are extremely rare so it was certainly a challenging task. The staff were very friendly and understanding as they helped me find all of the pieces so that I could look as close as Joey was on Friends. The end product was a hit at the wedding and I couldn't have done it with out Lucy in Disguise!

I was short on time and needed more of a selection than party city could offer. Not only did Stanley in the makeup department know the right questions to ask but he was keen to the fact that I was in a rush and took care of business efficiently.

Great Halloween and costume shop. Was always able to find costumes as a kid here and now as an adult I can still find something fun for multiple nights of Halloween. Also coming here in the middle of May is still fun, it is a fun place to let your creativity Rome free.

Such great costumes. Gets crazy around Halloween and other party times

This is the best costume shop in town! They have TONS of items for rent or to purchase. Their costumes range from cheasy to intricate. They also have tons of masks, makeup, accessories, etc. The staff are really helpful too. Just tell them what look you're going for and they're more than happy to help you put it together. It's clear they really like what they do.

It's as much of a costume store as just a place to walk around and look at stuff for fun. I'd imagine only five percent of people walking in off the street actually buy anything because it's on S. Congress, but it is still a great costume shop. They sell things like funky sunglasses and jewelry as well. If you're on SOCO go in and take a stroll around.

One stop shopping for any costume (I mean any) you can think of. I truly commend Lucy's for providing excellent service during the weeks before Halloween as well. You might think the shop would be understaffed and stressed out with customer inquiries during late October, but I didn't find that to be true at all. A staff member at the door was there to greet me and immediately asked me what I was looking for and where to find it; check out was equally swift and efficient. I was impressed not only by the breadth and depth of the clothing choices, but the masks as well!

just thought it need one more review to round things out. Great store, really cool selection of costumes, if you wanted to be an Eeyore-Jigsaw-Ballerina for Halloween, they could help you accomplish that. It's that good. More costume gear than I have ever seen in my life.
