Lucien s has been so accommodating and understanding through this whole Covid ordeal. I have heard horror stories of other venues being downright awful to Covid brides. While it sucks that I ve had to postpone my wedding twice so far, I can t wait for April 2021.

Staff was rude. Management not as good as the Merion or waterfall which I will highly recommend. These individuals were rude from the door. I simply asked where the bridal suite was located and the sales rep or whatever her position was immediately got aggressive. Food was mediocre to say the least. The hall itself is ok. The pathway towards the bridal suite was hazardous. Chairs were just all over the place, it was easy to trip and fall over. The glasses in the bridal suite were disgusting. They were all stained and unwashed. Do yourself a favor and go to th Merion or Waterfall. The soup also tasted like it came from a can and it was cold. I simply asked for a replacement and the wait staff said that she's sorry that she couldn't do anything about it. Even to simply go to the kitchen and microwave. The only bright spot here are the valet attendants. Very nice guys! They recognized that we were the same party that used the Merion the night before and treated us with dignity and respect.

This place is wonderful.Everything was great the food,staff,the design and decor of the halls and outdoor avenue.Hats off to Lucien's Manor.

Great food, great service my only complaint was it was a religious thing and the staff didn't know of the importance not to move or work during prayer

Very poor service with a very unprofessional manager. Jacob Miller, the manager was very hard to deal with. During COVID, he had our groom believe into a contract that later had many changes to it. The biggest problem, just a week or so before the wedding basically not allowing the wedding to have any DANCING at all. You either open a WEDDING venue fully with dinner and dancing as it is a WEDDING or completely stay shut and refund the customer. Most of us are business owners, and management for this venue was completely horrible.

Not only did Jacob Miller stop the party and disappoint all guests, some of which have flown in and been in quarantine just to attend this wedding. But he made sure the guests did not enjoy a single minute without interruptions. He stalled the dinner for 2 WHOLE HOURS (In the parking lot) just so that the guests do not return to the ballroom.

After going back and fourth and being worried from reviews that were starting to flood his e-mail, he allowed dancing outdoors for some of the guests but even then he kept interrupting the party.

You either open up your hall for a regular wedding, or you refund your client with the full amount and not ruin their wedding for them.

I m the groom s best man and Murphy s executive orders aside, here are the specific issues we dealt with that everyone should know about Jake and his horrible management

- [ ] Always on women s side when we specifically made clear no men allowed. Standing on stairwell, like a hawk. He has female staff he can delegate this task to
- [ ] Blamed us for our dinner being late because we prayed when staff said they were actually late. In fact, they didn t communicate that they would be scanning our temperature ahead of time. Taking 30 min away from our day. Extra $300 paid to vendors for their time spent.
- [ ] Uplighting was wrong color. Asked for amber, got pink. Not even similar
- [ ] Cake was not even done. 3 levels of white cake. No design, no frosting work. Decorator had to put flowers on it to make it look somewhat okay
- [ ] All solutions were found ourselves. Wiring, speakers, dancing, dining outside
- [ ] Didn t let decorator do her job. Guests were moving tables.
- [ ] Rubbed in our face that this was a favor even though the groom paying the same amount he would with subpar service is doing YOU a favor
- [ ] Kept telling DJ to stop the music
- [ ] No rules were communicated ahead of time.
- [ ] Wrong meals were given to friends and when it was brought it up, it was just brushed off.
- [ ] Jake very rude. Mentioned several times that this a favor. All risk, no reward which is so rude when the biggest reward should be making your customer happy.
- [ ] Mentioned to guests no social media and no dancing to guests. Can t control all of them
- [ ] Worried about his personal image and political standing. Not the business.
- [ ] Guests flew over and drove from TX and CA to quarantine for 2/3 weeks, temps taken, masks worn, guest count below requirement. Only to be disrespected and ruin our intimacy
- [ ] We experienced blackmailing, dictatorship and threats. Told to delete and complied

The venue was lovely. From the time i start looking for a venue the communication was on point. I loved the venue. Wedding day went fine. The only thing i didn't like was we felt rushed. i couldn't get the pics that i wanted outside or with my bridal party. My mantra Dee was all of that. i enjoy my team. They were very professional. I would defiantly recommend a wedding her. i would just say don't let them rush you. stay on schedule but make sure you get the pics that you want. i didn't get a chance to eat my food. they were suppose to pack it up and they didn't i wanted my fish and steak. i didn't have the cake. we just had the first piece that was it. which is fine. the cake was pretty to see. also they ran out beef and didn't accommodate a couple of people from my wedding party. which i was disappointed in. overall it was fine.

My neices wedding reception was there and was the most spectacular experience. The whole staff was very accommodating. I would recommend it to everyone

All the wait staff had head phones. This allowed them to communicate readily with each other. Fast professional service

Appointment was double booked to tour. Person insulted me asking if I was the the bride's father or the groom to be. Told us before the tour that the booking date wasn't available. My bride to be caught the lady speaking to us in two lies, which she tried to cover up, after my fiancee called her out on them. Going with a professional non snobby place with better prices.

This is the most beautiful ballroom I have ever been to and the food was delicious.

Truly a gem of a place.....polite & gracious staff, abundance and such a variety of food, fantastic open bar and give it up to the DJ, he kept the dance floor rocking.

Lucien's Manor always delivers an incredible experience..It always stays polished and shiny. The wait staff are professional and courteous as with any establishment if they have problem staff they weed them out quickly, no dead weight allowed. The food is always delicious and seasoned just so. Also they will surprise with their selection of appetizers and desserts. A warm fire pit outside for the smokers in the winter. GREAT EXPERIENCE

The staff were great the FOOD is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Don't go here if you want good food.
Edit: After posting this critiquing their food quality the owner or general manager guy said "I don't know who you are to the bride or groom but I will be telling them about this as I run this multi-million dollar location"
He even critiqued me asking "if I had a degree in culinary arts" saying "he had a chef with that degree in the back."

Always a pleasure working this venue, Christina in the office is very sweet and thorough when returning messages, Ed is incredibly helpful when directing where we're to go, even lending assistance with our florals and centerpieces. The staff is very friendly and courteous, the food drives me crazy when I cut through the kitchens to the reception rooms we're working in, I would highly recommend this place for any event.

My husband Ryan and I got married at Lucien's Manor on June 2, 2018. From the moment we first looked at this venue in January 2017, we had fallen in love with it. The ballrooms (particularly the Versailles where we had our Hindu ceremony, and the LaGrande where we had our Western ceremony and later, our reception) are stunning. The cocktail hour inside the Chantilly-Nouvelle room was amazing and the outdoor pergola, bridge with fountains made for beautiful backdrop for photos. Many of our guests told us this was the best wedding they had ever been to. I felt like we got married inside of a palace. The bridal suite was clean and spacious and the staff promptly brought up lunch and cocktail hour food including unlimited drinks, in between each of our two ceremonies and reception. Special shoutout to Jake, Desiree, Chris and Mark, who helped us along the way to plan and make our wedding dreams come true. Cannot recommend this place enough. If you are looking for a glamorous, yet affordable venue to hold your wedding, look no further!!!

While the location is beautiful and has a lot to offer for an event, I was very disappointed with the professionalism of the staff. The day prior to our walk though, they called and confirmed our appointment and the date we were interested in booking our wedding reception. After filling out our personal information and touring the facility, is when we were told that someone else had already booked the date. We were asked if we would consider a different date and were flexible which we were not because the date was already reserved at our parish. (They were aware of this when we booked our visit) I'm more upset that this information should have been told to us at the beginning of our appointment or on the phone the previous day. We may have really loved what we saw and were presented with, but since the date is more important to us than the location in this case we will be looking for another location for our wedding reception. I did offer them to call us should the other function cancel.

Gorgeous upgrades and amazing fixtures. Appetizers were to die for. Pricing was bit high but otherwise an ideal spot for events!
Hopefully in future the pricing could be more afford for almost any budget.

We just attended a wedding here and say enough great things about the venue, the staff or the food! Every thing was truly exceptional and the staff seemed truly happy to be working there.

Amazing! Went here with the wife for her company party. They did an Indian themed night. The appetisers were incredible and the dancers were awesome. Had a very nice night!

Gorgeous place for any event; whether a small intimate gathering, a private business meeting, a medium size birthday party, or a grand fairytale wedding or huge fundraising gala.. they have the ballroom for any event and a knowledgeable, helpful staff for all your needs.

My husband and I really enjoyed it and thank you very much. We will go back again in the future.

Attended a wedding reception on the weekend of 4/20/13. Facilities and visual appeal were very good, however the service at the reception was very bad. The worst thing was that they ran out of food at the buffet as the last tables were being served. The attendants didn't have any answers, just stood around and said 'it is coming'. It never did for us. Very embarrassing for the folks throwing the reception. Also, the service help buzzed around the tables but were worthless when it came to bringing coffee or additional water. They even tried to clear plates when people had just returned to the table with their meager pickings from the buffet. In short, the place looks good but has embarrassingly bad service. Don't risk it with your function. Try Maggiano's or Aldo Lamberti's in Cherry Hill, both of which have given our family excellent service for these types of functions in the past. Very disappointed at Lucien's. Go elsewhere unless you want a bad experience.

My daughter is having her reception in 11 days, and was devistated to see construction taking place on the grounds where she envisioned and planned photography around.
When my wife complained she was told by the manager that the bride has time to find another location for pictures!
The manager proceeded to insult my wife and then told her he ll refund the money and to find something else in 11 days with 180 guests attending. Out of respect for our daughters wishes we will not post pictures and video of the eyesore until the day after the wedding.
Do not waste your money on this venue, management is abrasive, insulting and condescending.

Attended a wedding at Lucien's about a week ago. The facility was in great condition, the staff was very helpful and the appetizers (cocktail hour) were amazing. The main entree was good, not great, for a mass produced meal. Overall, I thought it was a good venue and a good experience. Most importantly, the bride and groom looked like they were happy with the event.

Had our wedding in September 2018. It was amazing! This place is beautiful all over. We had our ceremony in the brand new room, and the reception in the venician ball room. It was perfect. The garden out back is great for pictures. Many of our guests commented on how great the staff was. The two bartenders we had were awesome, our concierge handled everything, and the service staff was on point.
We chose our venue based on food quality, and they exceeded expectations. Guests are still talking about how great the food was!

1 star is overrating the place. Deserves to be shutdown with the poor service and lack of quality of professionalism that there is. Jacob Miller especially has to be switched out. As a guest I did not know how to enjoy the wedding with a little pest like himself roaming around and watching our every moves and making us feel very uncomfortable. Hope there is a change in management before he ruins everyone else' wonderful and most precious day.

It was beautiful the natural light made it elegant and pure. I loved it!!

Declared themselves as "Open" during Covid-19 and came to agreements with the Groom and Bride but when they day came and everyone was at the Hall, the worst man I have ever seen or came across name Jacob Miller supposedly the man who runs the place, showed up and changed up everything that they had agreed on, he didn't want to refund the groom the thousands of dollars that he had put into it and forced him to have the wedding but didn't let the guests or anyone enjoy it in peace as he forced us to dance in the parking lot and kept preventing us from celebrating this wonderful event and ruined everyone who attended's day.

A beautiful venue to have an event. We attended a wedding... don't really understand why the wedding chapel is separated from the reception area... causing guests to walk outside in the cold.

Lucien's Manor from a CULTURAL BRIDE and GROOM's perspective.

Just save your time and energy and drive down the Merion. This is from a family that has had 3 traditional weddings and 4 weddings in the area. The "UNION staff" gets a 5 star. the lady who hosted us was amazing. HOWEVER, the owner called my brother and told him he should have shut our wedding down. Our guest had a good time because they thankfully didn't see the attitude of the manger. I am convinced he was hired to be disrespectful.

If you plan to have your reception there, DO NOT go on a Friday. the traffic is hellish getting there and you will miss between 30 to 40 minutes of your wedding reception time that you paid for.

From someome who has had family members get married in both places, I offer these points:
1. If you want to take your food (as long as you have a vendor with a license) Merion is where you need to go. The decor is even much nicer (I had my traditional wedding there, my sister and brother got married there)
2. If you want to feel like the money you paid for your wedding? i'll suggest to call the Merion, I am so grateful for their customer service AFTER dealing with lucien's. these people are all about their money.
3. If you want to feel like you got married in a market place (there was another event going on there and it was super confusing at time to get to the second floor because another wedding was on the first floor and our guest kept running into each other) Go to the Merion, it is more spacious and you wont even know another event was taking place.
4. To the cultural bride, if you care about your dance into the hall, the manager of the day being respectful and understanding, go to the Merion. You can thank me later.
5. I come back to customer service, my goodness that manager was RUDE. i mean the type of rudeness that you should never experience for something you do once in a lifetime.

If you plan for NOTHING to go wrong and you will not need customer service from a manager who understands and willing to help, then Lucien's Manor is for you. The owners will love you too. They are all about their money. And for your future wedding, I hope you spend yours well! :)

Giving a one star is pretty generous. The manager, Jacob Miller refused to leave us alone and enjoy our time. He continued to intervene with the DJ and interrupt our event. Nobody felt comfortable with him around just watching us for the majority of the event. When it came time for dinner, the food was served for only half the people while the rest sat and watched. It took 2 hours out of the 5 hour event just to finish dinner. While the servers were very polite and the actual venue is pretty, the management is terrible.

If anyone is looking for a wedding venue, they should choose Lucien s! Besides the beautiful chapel, ballrooms, and gardens, the staff is wonderful. They ve been doing weddings and large catered events for a long time, and it sure does show. They have every little detail figured out. The Venetian bridal suite was roomy, the food was delicious, and cake was beautiful. My husband is Chinese and their chef worked with us to add authentic Asian cuisine to our cocktail hour and dinner (which turned out great). They did their best to make sure our wedding was exactly how we envisioned it. Robin really did a great job conveying all of our questions and visions. She has a great eye for detail which paired very well with our very specific and detailed agenda. She is a pleasure to talk to; knowing what we came to discuss and able to dive right in with little rehash. As our big date was getting closer, we actually looked forward to meeting with her to go over details because she was such a breath of fresh air. Looking back we wouldn t change a thing!

Recently attended a wedding here. To summarize I was impressed with the food and friendly service.

Very nice catering hall. Food is great, the decor of the room is spectacular. This place is worth having a party. They are also expanding the place which is nice, and their parking lot is easily accessible with plenty of space. It definitely left an impression as I have visited this place only once.
