Today we had a smart meter put in by a gentleman called Jason . He was very polite and followed all Covid -19 rules . Workmanship was first class and no complaints, excellent standards throughout . Jason is from CT Operatives

Terrible. Arranged an appoinment for 12 noon to get a phone call at 1pm to say 'aint coming, havent got part' DONT USE they are a joke and dont care that people take time off work
Absolutely disgusted with the visit we had. Appointment had been booked since April to have a smart meter fitted. For him to turn up with no greeting or introduces, demanding to see the electric meter. As walking out my front door with the key to open the side shed to show him he turned around and announced that the appointment had been cancelled anyway which I've had no notice about this and that someone would be in contact within the next couple of days without even seeing the meter. Asking why it had been cancelled all I got was 'I suggest you ring the bloody office to discuss that.' After ringing up the company office to complain about his attitude, I then got told the appointment wasn't cancelled and that he had already rang the office to say he didn't have the correct equipment to install the smart meter (he hadn't even looked at the meter to tell whether he had the correct equipment.) With him saying the appointment was cancelled I then questioned on his appearance? I was puzzled. With taking the afternoon off work, I'm very appalled with their professionalism. With looking at their reviews doesn't look like their a very good company anyway.
One of Lowri Beck's meter readers left a card in my post box having called to read our meter whilst we were out. When I went on line to submit my reading I found I was unable to do this without entering a Job ref. no. , which should have been on the card but wasn't, indeed there was nothing handwritten on the card at all. This then only left me the option of ringing a premium rate telephone number to submit the reading. What a scam! Needless to say I have submitted my reading direct to my supplier and will never allow any member of Lowri Beck staff into my home having read all these dreadful reviews>
Received text reminding me of appointment the following day!!! No one turned up! When I called I was informed the engineer was on holiday and someone had attempted to call, no message left on my answer machine or text informing me of any changes. Please review communication pathways! I would have been charged if engineer had called and I was not in!! I have taken time off work!!
Apparrently a Lowri Beck employee visited to check my gas meter this week (he left a card) They called me to see if I was happy with his service. I thought I was, but have just discovered that he forced open the new wood box cover to the meter and has broken it. Not happy with that.
Rubbish company. Waited in all day for an appointment but they didn't turn up, when I phoned then they said the engineer had had to rush off to a gas leak. Really? Why did no-one phone me then to say they couldn't make it today?

Wish I could give 0 stars for this shambles of a company. I'm currently in the middle of a two month battle trying to get the standard compensation I am entitled to for a second non-show to have my electric meter changed over. Their complaints team are a complete shower, don't return emails, lie and constantly fob you off. My electric company have now got involved to try and sort this on my behalf, and I am making a formal complaint to their head office for what it's worth. Don't touch with a barge pole - you have been warned!!
