Love, Beal, & Nixon Review

I was actually sent a summons to court for a charge that was legitimately not mine. After some research, I figured out what had happened and disputed the charges. The account manager with this firm was always unhelpful and is the type who responds with yes, no, can t help you. He provided no information to help me actually resolve the problem, and had no interest in helping in any capacity.

That being said. This review doubles as an opportunity to help YOU, the consumer. This organization is a THIRD PARTY and manages debt on behalf of a debt collector. If you receive a summons, do NOT ignore it as a default judgement against you enables debt collectors to garnish your wages. Law firms like this one bank on you not responding to the summons or showing up in court. That means they can reach into your bank account and take a percentage of your pay until the debt is paid off. You can respond to the summons for little to no money. Research on the web how to respond to a summons for a debt collector . There are small businesses who manage these types of things for you, and go over your options in great detail.

If you owe debt, or are dealing with collections, I d recommend skipping the middleman entirely and dealing with the collection agency who owns the debt. They will work with you to reconcile your account, and you might be able to strike a deal to get certain items removed from your report if it s gone that far. If you cannot find the contact information easily, ask the middleman for the best way to contact them. They ll try to get you to deal with them directly, but stay firm. If they decline, keep digging for details.

The internet is the most valuable educational tool we have. Use it to educate yourself about your rights and your options in situations such as these, and to help others, of course. You won t find it with this firm, unfortunately. Godspeed!

They don t answer the phone, I ve been waiting for 30 minutes as I m typing and the phone is just ringing. I can t even leave a message to tell them my name and number to call back. This seems like a huge scam.

Well, all I have to say is you have made it a mission in my life to make everyone I meet know what type of law you practice. Coming after a single income home with two special needs children and on a certified GM lemon from 1999 your morals and ethics are in the trash.

This law firm is a joke. Nothing but bad energy and trying too make people s lives hard. They froze my LLC and personal account over a personal credit card debt that seems like a lifetime ago. That is why I formed an LLC. After struggling through many health battles and finally getting where I didn t have to go on disability. I get slammed with their antics. I have never even actually been served so this was quite a surprise. This type of thing drives them. I sure would hate to make money making people s lives hard!! They thrive on it

I am not questioning a debt, but they have a process server that lies. Never was served and only way I found out was someone else told me, then it was too late

i paid off my debt, and they still took 1 more garnishment. 3 weeks i have waited for it to be returned. they keep saying they havent recieved it.......... my payroll dept says otherwise.

Susie or Susan is absolutely awful and rude to talk to. Calls are recorded and the higher ups should look up her calls because she is extremely unprofessional. Wasn t helpful one bit and then got annoyed that I told her the reason why I was calling.

This place will take your money right out of your bank account in droves, they are ruthless people.

Of course, people who owe money and don't want to pay are going to leave a negative review. Representing an employer whose employee's occasionally have a garnishment - working with them in a professional capacity has been very easy and pleasant.

I paid the whole debt off. Now on my credit report they told me that I owe $111.00. I'm beginning to wonder if they even taking off all the bill! They deserve 1 star.

Out of nowhere my paycheck was 150.00 short I called my employer to find out I have a garnishment from this office from a credit card that was years old. I called the office and this person (I say that lightly) says Did you get your stimulus check you can pay it off I am just in disbelief!! These people have absolutely no cares whatsoever! I will be checking my credit so I don t have anymore surprises I cannot afford!

I ve called every month for them to change my address for the paperwork I need to sign an they still haven t. But they keep sending me a judgment with a court date even though I m making payments they say it s due to me not signing the contract. So now I m going to get a lawyer to get this done an over with.

I hope to never work with these people again. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

I had a bill. Didn't pay it. Came back to bite me in the hoo-hah. My fault; whaddaya gonna do? Didn't know about credit when I moved out. But years later, I KNOW. lol. NOW. sheesh. SO I wasn't able to pay the bill b/c I was unemployed a looooooong time. Went to school, got some cred, got a GREAT job, PRAISE THE LORD! :::hands up:::: they contacted my employer to garnish my wages. ::gasp:: I wasn't aware of this but if I had even bothered to check my old mail I'd probably see a notice about it. HOWEVER, they worked with me to STOP garnishment.! For Debt collectors, they actually work WITH me and don't criticize or put me down; attitude means a lot !!! SO happy about that! How embarrassing! As of now, I'm only $75 away from paying IT OFF!!! WOOOOOOT! they even congratulated me. So. if you want a bad review, I'll talk about Peak Financial. OMG what loooosers! But Love Beal & Nixon? no problems. Again, my fault.

Evidently I was supposed to owe someone some money in 2009. I really don't remember it. They put a freeze on savings account which was not my money. Then they took it all. The person money they took had taken along time to build it up by putting in $20.00 every two weeks. If I owed this money, I have no way of paying it. Recently I was diagnosed with cancer so need what little money I have for medical bills,etc. These people are scums and crooked. By the way, the person money they took has diabetes,not much money. Thanks for adding extra stress in our lives!

I had a debt from YEARS ago I honestly forgot about. I had been in contact with the company to set up a payment program but then I get embarrassingly served by these people during a family get together. I started making payments every month and sometimes twice a month for 6 months. At the start of December right after making a payment I get mailed something saying I wasn t making any payments and I was being served a warning . One time I received something that said I owed $800. Then after receiving this notice it shows I owe $1100. I emailed them to state they are wrong and I can prove it because I ve kept the paperwork. The original debt was $1100 but after making many payments, they think I m going to start over? No. That s ridiculous. I lost a great job opportunity because of them and their lies. I m turning in every ounce of paperwork I have against their word to the OK bar, BBB, FTC, and anyone else I can to fix this. I don t mind paying my debt but not to these scumbag thieves.
Update: I had signed an agreement that supposedly was signed by a judge to pay an agreed amount each month. I ve been paying these payments and a few days ago these thieves cleaned out my bank account. They garnished my bank account after I agreed to make a payment plan that I had been paying on. They never informed me of this happening nor did they ever try to communicate with me about it. I tried to reach out to them and was told I m sorry but we cannot discuss this . So they can t discuss stealing my money because they did it without my knowledge. They stole every dime I had in my checking and savings account. It s F d up they can steal from a family and kids mouths without any form of communication without the knowledge of the account owner after I had been making payments to them. I m hiring a lawyer and going to the court myself to submit a complaint about them.

They like to take more money than what you actually owe. They say they refile every 6 months on you so they can collect more money off you.

This company is crooked and is apparently paying off the Oklahoma Bar Association as well. They pull random credit reports to get people's private information and then they garnish their wages whether they owe a debt or not. They had two garnishments on my paycheck for companies I had never done business with. When I called them to let them know that I didn't owe the debts, to stop the garnishments immediately, and to request copies of documents showing that I owed a debt, they flat told me they wouldn't be providing me with anything and that I was basically out of luck because they had a judgment against me. A judgment they shouldn't have gotten because I had already informed them that I didn't owe the debts. I contacted the Oklahoma Bar Association about it and got a letter telling me that "the purpose of the Oklahoma Bar Association is not to help people get out of paying debts." And that letter after I had already informed them that I didn't owe the debts.

These people are EVIL!! They are nothing but slime. They don t send you any communication on debts and then place a double hold on your accounts. Then say it is the banks fault not theirs. Plus when you call them they say things like you aren t a good person. They don t care about people. I would hate to know I chose to be that hateful to people.

Wish there was NO star option...These guys are the worst. Don't go to them for any reason whatsoever. I'm dealing with them for debt collection and they are the worst compared to others. They'll slap on every kind of tax and fees possible on top of what you may already owe.

Customer service is a complete joke and they never answer any of my emails. I was paying what their website said I could do as a minimum, but apparently that pissed them off and they tried to serve me new papers even though I was paying them off. So my minimum went from $10 to $135. Bastards.

Rude people, found out that every year the renew this debt which is 16yrs old, my husband had a used truck repossessed and they finally got ahold of him 3 yrs ago. They garnished our bank account , took everything we had in there 2600 and the woman who I called to speak with was very rude. We at that time was broke down in Montreal Quebec ( truck drivers) we had to beg them to let us have some of the money back just so we had money to eat. Only have a year left or so before we can get rid of these people

Well everyone who has commented on these guys are absolutely correct. I'm paying 1000 on a 300 dollar debt. It's insane they can get away with this!

Chanel is very rude and ignorant. She acts as though she is taking your debt personally and she is viciously pursuing you to get her money back. I am in the process of filing bankruptcy, my debts are not due to frivolous or irresponsible spending. My marriage ended unexpectedly and I was left in a very difficult financial situation. The particular debt that they are perusing me for is a credit card that was taken out in my name, without my knowledge. The telephone number that is shown on the account is not my phone number. A little bit of kindness and understanding would go a long way during a difficult time, but she is down right rude and unprofessional.
