Food isn't great, wine selection is terrible, beer selection is ok but the place itself and the films are outstanding!

Great film theater, nice people and great atmosfere. It is a beautiful building with a garden inside.

Excellent projection, well-ventilated room and comfortable seats. Unfortunately, ticket sales and the hotel and catering industry are not designed for a large crowd on a weekday movie night. But that is a side issue. The atmosphere is great and everyone is doing their best.

Geweldige bioscoop met super vriendelijk personeel, heerlijke stoelen. De entourage is ook al zo mooi. Leuke bars en terras en niet te vergeten: het filmaanbod.

Went to the X = Festival, there is a very nice atmosphere inside. The rooms are not huge, but they are clear, clean and beautiful. Bar is also cozy, slightly above regular price.

This cinema is irreplaceable due to its unique range of European and film house films, beautiful terrace and cozy halls and very different from the other cinemas in Utrecht.

Small and cozy complex with 1 large and 4 very small rooms. Films are therefore sold out quickly. Jojo Rabbit was sold out on a Tuesday evening. It is therefore recommended to make a reservation in advance.

Unmissable location for the true film lover. Every evening, films are introduced by clarifiers, which is a nice addition prior to the film and with which you can watch the film with different eyes as the maker intended. Nice place for a drink, very busy often!

This former police bureau now offers space for an atmospheric film house with several cinemas and places where you can enjoy your memories or just get in the mood. Atmospheric !! Extra dimension: every film is introduced by a kind of 'making of' chat by one of the employees.

Beautiful film house, once built as a police station in the style of the Amsterdam school. The range of arthouses and prize-winning films is large and usually the rotation periods of less exclusive films are longer than in other cinemas. Often an employee provides the film with background information beforehand. Prime location in Utrecht, with a terrace in the evening sun.

The best cinema in town and one of the best in the country. Great selection of films, very friendly staff, nice drinks, amazing cake (try the carrot cake and thank me later). The building is another big plus; amazing architecture.

Utrecht has a reputation to uphold for film lovers and the Hartlooper Complex has a large share in that. Good movie selection! And before or after the film, amidst other cinephiles, a glass of wine and a delicious dish. Tell the staff the start time of your film so that you can eat quietly and still be on time.

This cinema has mostly arthouse films. Great ambience!

My favorite cinema in Utrecht. Best place for festival films. Features expat-friendly movies on evenings several times per month.
You can always enjoy local bar after or before your screening.

With a Cineville pass you are in the right place, since the offer is such that you can watch a new film every week. For lunch / dinner, the restaurant offers a neat menu with various dishes. No culinary delights but well prepared and served. Moreover, friendly and helpful staff.

This cinema is located in a historic building: the former police station. Old details are still visible in many places in the building.
In general, the "better" films are shot there.
Easily accessible by train via station Utercht Vaartse Rijn, 5 minutes walk.

Service sometimes wants to be slow, it is often busy. Tasty offer, and coffee is allowed in the halls.

Total nightmare with the reservation system. You let yourselves down everytime with this. A frustrating experience.

Pretty nasty cinema. However, you cannot park there. And if you do find a place, you go bankrupt with regard to the costs. Better to park in the Vaartsche Rijn garage.

The better (movie house) films plus nice catering location

The most famous film house in Utrecht. Always a wide variety of arthouse films and sometimes also mainstream productions. The explanation for the film makes this theater unique, one time it is more fun than the other. The bar in the inner garden is an ideal place to have a drink before or after the film, and another plus is that drinks are allowed in the room.

Stylish small cinema, however, there is a risk of dehydration ... half an hour before the start of the film, we were unable to order a drink ... the service was apparently too busy / understaffed? Wonderful for a cafe ...

Nice diverse menu, meat, vegetarian and vegan options. Nice terrace, good service (also at very busy times; customers inside and outside, nice weather so full terrace). Great cinema room.

Always relax to the movies. Beforehand an intro always so friendly and I think the location is super nice at a park on a square.

Best place to watch good movies in Utrecht. You can take the food and drinks from the cafe to the movie.
