Tom and Nan helped us achieve our plan of "aging in place" by remodeling our 30 year old house into a one level living area that will be able to accommodate our needs as we grow older. They made multiple suggestions that we would never have considered and were very willing to consider and incorporate our ideas. This set them apart from the other contractors that we spoke with who wanted us to take their ideas or leave them. Additionally, Tom and Nan were the only contractor we dealt with who spent the time and created computer generated plans and elevations BEFORE we signed a contract. We knew what we were getting before we actually committed. Everyone else wanted our money before we saw what they would do for us.

Their crew was very friendly, always professional, incredibly skillful and usually punctual. We never felt any concern about having them in our house and they kept the disruption to our lives to the bare minimum.

We've been living in our new space for about two months now and are enjoying it more and more every day.

Marjos recently remodled my kitchen that was very old. I can't say enough good abut his crew. They were very professional, clean, and had to deal with elevators and lots of rules to follow while working in a high rise bulding. I am very pleased with the final results and received lots of compliments. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I did not use this contractor because his bid was about 6-7k more than any other bid and I had multiple other bids which were all +/- 1k of each other (small bathroom remodel). Seems to me hes just ripping people off.

major project with addition of second story over garage....work was done in very professional way and was very happy with the results. The foreman on the job was outstanding. This is the second major job that Marjos has done and I would recommend them highly.

A few years ago Tom designed and the techs remodeled a bath, from the sub-floor up. They'll soon start freshening up the master bath and kitchen of our ten-year-old condo. No reason to shop around. Quality of design, materials and work is why they're able to guarantee labor. At the end of each day they worked, the place was clean. Recommended them to many friends and neighbors.

Donna and I, had both of our bathrooms and the exterior of our house remodeled about 4 years ago. To this day; the house looks as great as it did the day Tom and the guys finished it. I called the company to do my accent wall for my fireplace. I had already had the materials. Just needed someone to do the work. The two gentlemen that came out were so professional and nice. They were fast, efficient, and detailed. And details is where it really matters. The price was fair and the work is great. I plan on using them again.

We had a complete Kitchen renovation, and Marjos did an OUTSTANDING JOB, we will never, never use anyone else for any of our renovations either in or outside the house!! Tom and Nan are fabulous to work with, they are caring and so helpful, just a joy to be with. All their employees are a joy to have in your house!! Love them all!!! They all went above and beyond, nothing was a problem for them. Unlike most renovations Marjos showed up every day and Tom always called to find out if we had any questions or concerns, now that s unheard of! LOVE, LOVE< LOVE my kitchen, thank you Marjos!!!

Exceeded our expectations! We have used Marjos for 4 projects over a six year period. A master bath total remodel, a kitchen update, a powder room update & guest bath update. The bathrooms involved changing tile, raising counters, replacing counter tops/basin/faucets, etc. Extensive work. All done to the contract specifications. Work done in a timely & professional manner. No charges above & beyond the written contract. That is why we have returned three more times after the master bath remodel. The owner makes great suggestions, but if you don't want do to them, he will do what you ask. Staff are polite, professional and protected our home while doing the work and cleaned up afterwards. Office staff responds promptly to questions, emails, etc. Good communication. You may get a cheaper quote from a competitor but you get what you pay for....rather go with Marjos and get the job done right without any hassle. Tom Davis, the owner, always makes it right!

Marjos did an excellent job remodeling our very outdated kitchen. We live in a small condo built in the 80s, so we really wanted to modernize and save space. Tom and Nan had great ideas, we even have a coffee maker in the wall that never has to be filled!!! We are so happy with our beautiful beach kitchen, its a functional work of art! It did take longer than expected, but apparently that is how these things go. The end product is exactly what we wanted. There are some before photos in my review for reference. We support local businesses, trust me when I tell you to run from a box store remodel and choose a local remodeling company instead. We were able to communicate with Tom every step of the way, even after hours! A kitchen remodel is a big deal but Marjos helped to keep us updated and as functional as possible during the process.

BEWARE BEWARE!!! DO NOT TRUST this company Marjos and the owner Tom Davis. I had a small studio that I was renovating and he approached me to give me a bid. I had a budget of 10k to remodel the studio. His bid for just the kitchen cabinets came back with a price of close to 11,000.00. After I gasped he came back with a new figure over 9,000.00. Not having done a kitchen remodel ever we thought that price was the going rate for these things. Fortunately we did not sign anything, left and went to Lowes where they designed the exact kitchen for around 5,000.00 including all electrical and plumbing. We called Mr. Davis' company and declined their services and his secretary asked for us to please come back and give him a chance to speak with us. My mistake was going back. He suddenly said that he could give us kitchen cabinets similar to those of Lowe's but they weren't going to be the quality of his... Why didn't he offer those to us when we came into his business knowing our budget the first time? Good question right? Well we unfortunately made a bad decision and we used him. He made us sign a contract for the amount for the cabinets, paid half and then full amount upon completion. When it was realized that I needed two new exterior doors he was very careful as to call me and explain the cost of these doors. I stated it was. He drew up another contract and we signed it and paid in full. This is where it goes south. He did some other smaller misc work that he never discussed price with me or ever had me sign a contract for. After the work was completed I asked Mr. Davis for our final bill so we can square things up. He continued to put me off, month after month for a total of 7 months and then presented me with "bill" with no prices. I then asked him what this was and to please give us the bill. FINALLY we get a bill with a price..That bill was just shy of 10k. No receipts for this work or how he came up with this astronomical price. When we confronted Mr. Davis about this bill he was firm on his price and stated that we were getting a deal. Well, I had two professionals who also do renovations come and review his work and give me a bid of what he would charge which totaled between 3-4k. They also stated that we were ripped off on the previous work Marjos had performed but had already paid in full. The doors that he installed were already falling apart at the frames and when asked to fix them he stated to us that if we paid our bills he would fix our doors. Mind you we did pay that bill in full according to our signed agreement. When I threatened him I would sue him if he did not back his work he was quick to fix the doors. I paid this man an additional 3k, wrote him a letter stating that he would not be getting anymore money from us and included my last payment of 2k stating final and last payment which he cashed. Months later he decides to sue us for not paying the remaining balance of his bill we never contracted with him, was never brought to our attention and NEVER had us sign for anything as I would have not agreed to any of it. This man has done this time and time again, has been fined by DPOR and continues to do business. He has had multiple complaints and suits against him. DPOR fines him each time for 250.00??? That's it? What this man has done and continues to do is unethical and illegal according to violations of the board regulation 18 VAC 50-22-260 {B} {6}. Our lawsuit was filed incorrectly on Mr. Davis' part and had to be refiled. I hired an attorney which cost me more money and after a missed deadline on Mr. Davis' part and him having an attorney of his own look things over it was advised by Mr. Davis' attorney that he didn't have a case and it was dismissed. I will be filing a DPOR complaint against this man who has cost me thousands of dollars not to mention the stress over this past year. Hopefully DPOR will finally do something to this man who continues to break the law and scam people out of money.

Designs are beautiful, work is exquisite in every detail! VERY professional!

I built my own log home and Marjos did my kitchen. Mr. Davis came with three computer print outs and
we made our selection. The work was very professional, timely, and to our complete satisfaction. They
made and installed oak cabinets, countertops, a breakfast bar, and a kitchen table. They also supplied
and installed all the kitchen appliances.
On another occasion, I hired them to replace my garage windows and also to replace the bay window in
the house.
Again on another occasion, I hired them to alter my refrigerator opening when we purchased a new refrigerator. They also had to change the cabinet above.
They were very accomodating and professional. I would highly recommend them to do any type of remodeling work.

My wife and I just had our dream kitchen delivered!
What I mean is that it looks as though a whole new room was put in the place of the old one!
We had thoughts on what we wanted. We had concerns. We had a budget.
Not only did the team step up for us, but Tom stayed with us and offered advice in areas that we had not considered. The whole team was available for every aspect of our project.
His suggestions made it a whole different room! I couldn't believe the results!
We went with Marjos after interviewing five or so companies.
Marjos took the time, got to know us, offered ideas, and were respectful from day one!
We did our homework and were rewarded with a friendly group of professionals that I would recommend to anyone wanting a project, like mine, to be completed with the best results imaginable.

Very pleased with the work quality and speed of the installation. I should have arranged the shower curtain differently to make it look prettier to show it off. Ideal for use by a handicapped person.

Marjos remodeled our master bathroom and we could not be more pleased. Tom Davis gave us many good ideas for the project and oversaw it from beginning to end. The men who did the remodeling, Denny and Jerry, arrived on time, were meticulous in their attention to detail, very courteous, and left the area clean every day. We received frequent courtesy calls from Tina in the office, letting us know what would happen along the way. We especially loved the time-saving shopping in which every thing from the tiles to the bathroom fixtures could be ordered through the Marjos showroom. Jill, their design consultant, was a great help in picking out tile and paint colors. This was our 7th remodeling project and Marjos is definitely at the top of the list. We would highly recommend this company!

Just had two of Tom's crew install a ceiling fan and a ceiling light. They arrived early, were very professional and polite. Got the work done beautifully and efficiently and left the place clean. Marjos can do small jobs with just as much care as a major remodel. Highly recommended!
