The LA Dream Center is a great place where lives can be changed. The LADC reaches out to those the world wants to forget and shows them the love of Jesus.

A beacon of light for a dark world, giving back to strengthen the souls of many who were lost, always helping therefore I'll help them!

DREAM BIG! It's been almost 20 years since I attended Pastor's School at the Dream Center with a group of 13 from western New York. What we learned and experienced there changed many of our lives. Some are still volunteering in local ministries while others, such as myself, have entered full time, inner city ministry. Tens of thousands of lives have been changed because of the dream God gave Tommy and Matthew Barnett.

Dream Center is a place where earth and heaven collide! Where God uses this place to bring hope to not only the city of Los Angeles but the WORLD. This place is making a impact for the Kingdom of God EVERYDAY! Thank you Matthew Barnett and Tommy Barnett for following Gods Dream! It s beautiful and it is changing lives! So glad I get to play a part of it, with giving, volunteering and all! PLEASE SUPPORT THEM! The money goes to a well trusted and amazing place!! Excited to be coming back soon!!!

Dream center is place that sucks all hope out of the people it claims to help. The take advantage of,those down on their luck, has them do their grunt work under the guise of being a rehabilitation program and then after graduation they throw you back to the street and the wolves with no assistance, claiming God will take care of it. They do this in hopes that you will return and do it all over again. They are not Christians but wear Christianity as a hat to make themselves look good. They nearly destroyed my faith in God and I wouldn't recommend their help to my worst enemy. Avoid at all cost. It is an evil deceptive place that robs people of who they are through intimidation and fear mongering

Awesome place for young people to learn about serving others and their community.

It is a great place to get help when you really decide it to quit smoking, drinking or any other thing you are addicted too. They really helpful; they let you help them so that you won t be bored in what you are getting help!

You can feel peace joy love and the heart of Jesus the moment you step on campus.

This place need to be closed down and rebuilt. The concept is great however the living conditions is not acceptable. God bless

What an amazing place! They help so many different needs.

I have tried to donate twice to this organization and they have not picked up. They sent a notice saying they needed help with donations stating the date for pick up. When I called the next day, they said their truck broke down, but can re-schedule in 8 days. I can't have 38 boxes sitting out for them to pick up more than a week later. I took the time and effort to get these boxes out to the curb so they could pick up and they can't come back the next day? I guess I will be calling another organization that really needs help and wants my donation.

This place helps a lot of people. If you're interested and being a part of help then go there.

Just talked to a young pregnant homeless woman who you declined entry to your program in this #SheDoes movement..wit witha proper explanation for being declined... please explain...what criteria do you use for accepting or not accepting homeless women into your program so that the public knows both sides of story... thanks

Doing a short term mission here as of writing and it's already been life changing

They say home is where the heart is... well what if you're in one place and your heart is in another. In August I went on a short term missions trip to the Dream Center and when I arrived at home, I realized I had left my heart in LA. The Dream Center is doing amazing things and I will never forget my experience! God is so good and is doing amazing things in the city of LA.

Best ministry..ever. People who serve are so very nice. It was a life changing visit and usually is for all who go.

The dream center is a place where lives are constantly changing every day and every year... I am in this program called the DCLS program and without a doubt it is the best place for people 18 to 25 to go out and get there lives changed... Trust me you will doubt yourself but in the end you won't regret coming to the program of DCLS or maybe one of the other programs...

I went there in 1998. A friend from Church on the Way took me there but I don't remember why now. I was impressed with the size and various types of ministry found there. I plan to go back and check it out some more soon. It's in the former Queen of Angels hospital building on one of the many small hilltops in this part of L.A.
It's just SE of Echo Park neighborhood .
It would be a great place to set up an emergency communication room because of the location and many other services that live there.

The Dream Center is absolutely amazing! This place changed my life in more ways than I could've thought possible. I continue to be witness to hundreds of lives being changed everyday, including many in my family. I am 1 of 5 in my family whose life has been totally restored through the workings of the Dream Center. I cant imagine my life had I not had a place like this to come to, I might have lost my life if I had not come here. They help you to reach your full potential IF you are willing to give it a chance. I absolutely love the Dream Center and the work they do for the community. I enjoy all the events they organize that help improve conditions in people s lives. Today my family and I went to the BACK TO SCHOOL BASH. We had a blast, and got lots of free school supplies, food , and an eye exam. We even got to meet some players from the Los Angeles Dodgers. I m beyond grateful and bless to be a part of the dream center and Angelus Temple. Every time I feel that the world is full of evil this place reminds me there's still some good in this world. May God continue to bless this wonderful place, and the people who help the dream center run smoothly.

It's not cool for you to feed the homeless and offer services and not house them. I've seen Dream Center disciples talk to homeless about not camping on or in front of Dream Center properties. Subsequently the homeless move next door and camp in front of their neighbors. I saw this one cute home with a white picket fence right across from the Dream Center, well it was white except for the black stained section that came from what I can best describe as a Rastafarian coal miner camped against their front fence. All jokes aside, the guy camped there for weeks until finally some DC people talked to him. Now I'm not completely thrashing the Dream Center, I've seen them walking around the neighborhood with thrash bags cleaning litter and I do appreciate it but they completely skip the homeless encampment right next door to them at the dead end of Coronado Terrace! My apartment building recently had a fire which was started next to said encampment, they've also been stealing electricity from the light poles so now we don't have any working street lights at the dead end of Coronado Terrace or on the North side of the 101 freeway for that matter. So in closing, please be considerate neighbor and consider all of us. God bless.

Is the best place to be restore! I have been working with many guys who their lives where all messed up and now they are smiling and moving forward in their lifes!

The Dream Center is an amazing place. They help so many people. The people there are the most polite an caring people you can get to know. If you havent been to their thrift store. You should go. They have very reasonable priced an nice stuff. We shop there often

They won't let you into their program if you are taking any psych meds for things like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder or PTSD even if they are non narcotic non addictive and you've been on them for years and they provide relief and quality of life. They want you to get your psychiatrist to sign something that says you don't need them and can abruptly stop them then also demand a psych evaluation that says you don't need them anymore. Now that sounds crazy to me. Also had my mind phone and a friends phone stolen from the chapel and even though it was captured on security camera they refused to cooperate and changed the story when police came and made me look like a fool. They do a lot of good but lose a lot of trust with their policies and discriminatory practices . they would be a true miracle if they practiced what they preached and let people take their meds instead of forcing them into med withdrawal along with any other drug withdrawal they might be dealing with then the hell that is unmedicated unchecked mental illness. Some of which can be fatal if left in that state.

My daughter worked here and had an amazing experience working with the children's outreach on their traveling bus ministry. Such a blessing to the community. So thankful for all who volunteer their time and talents. May GOD bless all involved.

It was a interesting experience. Tons of rules in the program and ERC doesn't count towards your program. No cell phones are allowed and during the first month, no outside contact at all. If you break the rules, you'll receive an "hours" citation. Break some of the rules "e.g. visiting someone's area", will lead to a demotion or lead you to restarting the program. If you even look at the opposite sex, you'll be citied.

The RAs are cool, but need to be trained more and although they're in the program themselves, some won't let the position get over their heads.

Their doctrine is also questionable, the music is incredibly loud, plus the early morning service and the second service are identical.

In summary, the discipleship program is like military boot camp minus the exercise.

What a great great foundation a great organization and a great outreach to the community in LA I know they could only wish they could do more for the homeless despite how much they already do. I love the entire story the backstory If you don't know you need to find out.

There is Jesus, it is a Church that knows how to give, love, help people with accommodation.

The Dream Center not only sees the needs in their city, they find ways to meet those needs free of charge to those who are in need. It is the most authentic representation of caring that I have ever seen.
