Perfect trip out for everyone! Went as a couple and spent a whole day here. We read a review that said to go left as soon as you enter rather than following everyone over the bridge and it was such good advice, we had the park basically to ourselves, no cramped viewing in the shark tunnel or queues up to the treetop walkway! We recommend you plan ahead which shows to go to and arrive at them about half an hour early to get good seats, there's always space for everyone though! You're allowed to bring your own food in and there are picnic areas to eat it which is a bonus. There are a couple of tanks/areas that say they have animals they don't which is slightly disappointing (we particularly missed the turtle) but they have so many things to look at it is definitely worth the trip. Our favourite was the conveyer belt around the penguin enclosure!

Beautiful park/ZOO, I loved the penguin section. The animal shows are funny and entertaining. Got splashed by an orca, some of the animals could have bigger cages. Really cool the part where you walk among birds in their "cage".
The food was bad and expensive though. I recommend bringing your own. There are lots of picnic areas.

We have been visiting Loro Parque from time.to time for at least 15 years, but we hadn't been for a while. Not disappointed. Still the same high.standards everywhere, from the toilets to the layout and care given to the animal and bird enclosures. I noticed that all the shows now are much more 'natural'. The animals' natural skills are emphasised, except for sea lions - it was disappointing.to see the sea lions still being asked.to 'kiss' their trainer. Otherwise, it is still a great place to visit, with or without children. Parking had improved, they have an underground car park.in addition to the.ground level car park.

Best zoo in the world on trip advisor and I'd agree. Shows on about every twenty minutes or so with dolphins, sea lions and killer whales. Also they do a guided tour of the park offering lots of information regarding the animals at the park and the conservation efforts of the charitable foundation around the world.

Simply the best place that I have visited on the island. All of the animals, birds, etc are so well looked after, and the shows put on are terrific fun. For me though the highlight was the penguin enclosure. You will thoroughly enjoy your visit to Loro Park for this alone

Fun day out at Loro Parque. Pretty standard affair as zoos go. Main point of interest are the live animal shows (Orcas, dolphins, parrots, sea lions). Definitely worth a trip with kids. We took the scenic route driving up from Golf de Sur via El Teide. Great experience

A great pastime. I can not understand people. who put bad ratings because they can't see animals in captivity or because the tickets and the food inside is very expensive. Why are you here bought tickets and went???
By the way, prices are not too high I think for full immersion for a day in the life of wild animals and birds. Compared to major zoos in the European continent - it's worth it. Especially if you buy the twin ticket with Siam Park. My child 7 years passed free in both parks.

An absolutely amazing day out, the park is massive with stuff for everyone. The shows they put on for the orca's, dolphins and sea lions are great, defiantly worth a watch. It'd be a good idea to take advantage of the second day ticket at a reduced rate as there's so much to see and it's better not to try and rush the day. If you've got transfers from The south of the island you will have to rush to see everything in a day as they tend to drop you off late and pick you up early. The food nice and not too expensive. The park can be slightly confusing to navigate at times but you end up seeing everything anyway. Overall it's a great day for the whole family.

Amazing experience in Loro Parque, definitely ' el 'must' de Canarias'. There are so many species of different animals in the park, most of them are aviary habitat. There's 4 shows which are very entertaining and educational.

Loro show is very informal about the environment and how we could all help more animals stay out of man made danger. It is also a very colourful and a 'heads up' show as unexpecting parrots and macaws fly right above the heads of the audience. The sea lions are stunning and the way they play and show off is very entertaining. The orca ocean has 8/9 whales (I don't remember) which are trained professionally by the park workers/trainers. They are very entertaining and if you like getting wet, come with a waterproof jacket or buy one near the entrance just for 3! They're 100% made out of corn, and all the money goes to further research and development funds. Any food, drinks or plastic/metal waste cannot be bringed into the shows as that may hurt the environment. They will splash you if you sit in front, so look out! The dolphins are spectacular and in my opinion, it was the best show I've ever seen in my life! They do lots of tricks and there are currently 8 of them and a baby dolphin who is getting trained to become an addition to the group of these beautiful creatures.

There are big cats in the zoo, a lion and two lionesses, a tiger, and a leopard. Speaking of big, there are hippopotamuses, sharks, many different fish species and the best of all - crocodiles! There's also chimpanzees and gorillas, penguins and jellyfish too! There's all kinds of animals and they're all exotic! I would come again for sure!

A park with a difference. All enclosure seem to be designed for the animals needs with human viewing second priority.. It makes for a fabulous atmosphere with some great opportunities to see animals as you may never have before with things such as the peguinarium and walk through bird enclosure

It s a sad world we live in if we use the cruelty of animals to amuse ourselves. why and how can people be so cruel to keep Orcas and dolphins in tiny fish tanks. It s so sad that in this day and age people will pay to see animals suffering. I feel sick to my stomach. Let s hope the next generation are far more intelligent and caring than this one!!!

We travelled to Loro Parque on a weekday out-with the holidays. Even though nowhere near a peak time it was very busy.
The park has a wide range of animals with the star attractions being the killer whales. The Orca show was fine with a heavy emphasis on how much they do for environmental research which was laid on pretty thick.
Although it s a big park frustratingly the walkways are really very small considering the number of people moving around. At several points there are real choke points with people piling up trying to get past each other. Amazingly one of the main walkways actually goes though the middle of a cafe, crazy. I felt sorry for those pushing prams and in wheelchairs.
Talking of cafes there are several of these but quickly become full, we were told there was a 30-40 minute wait for a table for four so decided to buy a prepared sandwich and some other items to at and drink. Again frustratingly there was a lack of seating to be able to eat our take away lunch.
There are various shows through the day such as the bird show. Near the start times people start to wait by the entrance again blocking the walkways around it. Be prepared for people to push their own grandmothers out of the way to get a seat near the front!
The toilets here are well kept but what I didn t like was the fact the cleaners stand at the entrance with a tips bowl which I find unnecessarily tacky.
All in all I find it hard to recommend this place but it is probably worth it if you can put up with the crazy layout and are keen to see some animals.
We won t be revisiting the place when we re back in Tenerife.

Went with my partner and wasn't overwhelmed by it. The enclosures of the mammals and reptiles were nice but a lot of the birds weren't in enclosures that seemed big enough for them. I refused to see the dolphin and killer whale shows as I don't agree with their captive breeding programme so can't comment but the zoo was alright overall but we only spent 3 hours maximum there and for 37 euros each, seemed a lot for not much in return.

Fantastic. Don't be put off by crowds. Though overwhelming at first, it thins out as people disperse round the park.
Animals seem well cared for and a joy to see. Good information about conservation etc.
Lots of cafes around but all reasonably priced for meals or snacks.
Tip..buy any souvenirs as you see them as not all available at all little shops.

A park you should visit when you're in Tenerife! It's one of the cleanest parks I have ever visited. There are many different kinds of parrots and other animals. At the entrence the staff gives to the best route and time to see all the shows. For 11,00 you can take part of the discovery tour that I really recommend. You get all the information about the animals and the way they work. You can easily take a bus from loro parque to visit it if you are staying at the south side. Thank you for this adventure Loro Parque.

Having purchased joint tickets for Loro and Siam Park. We had a great day in both. Price for adult and child (11) was 104. We took the small train from the McDonald s in Puerto del la Cruz direct to the gate, this is a free shuttle. Would recommend both, however my flip flops were stolen in Siam Park. Many of the rides required you to remove footwear, so we just left them at the start of the line to each ride. Great looking parks, animal welfare looked very good, food a little pricey (as you would expect)

A fantastic Park to visit! A bit expensive though! Once inside I could understand why the admission price was high! The penguins were amazing! The best thing I've ever seen. Th Park itself was outstanding! The let down for me and my husband were the dolphin and whale shows! Well worth a visit though. Lots to do and to keep the children entertained!

Absolutely fantastic. If you get the chance spend that little bit extra and go premium. You get to see "Behind the Scenes" of the whales, sea lions and dolphins, also the veterinary is in clear view and shows how they take care of their animals. The tour guide was brilliant and you actually get to see every inch of the Park. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed it... Would definitely recommend it and will go again on my next visit...!!

Got a good deal on Siam park and Loro Parque. Loro Parque was wonderful, probably the best Zoo I've ever been to. The shows are great. We did 3 -Bird show, dolphins and the Killer whales. They have something for everyone. Take a jacket as its chilly in the mornings and the place is well shaded. The Gorilla's are an absolute privilege to see. Shops aren't over priced either. An ice cream was about 2 , a burger was 5.50 , kids baseball cap 1 although they where on offer. Cant fault the place.

Simply amazing. It has got the be one of the best zoos in the world. The shows are amazing and the areas so well kept. Its not the sort of place you burn on a hot day because it is so green and lush, and there are shaded areas everywhere. Strangelly, i found sandwiches and drinks reasonably priced for a place like this. Well worth it.

This is such a wonderful experience for all ages. From the Orcas and Dolphins to the meerkats, penguins and parrots, there's plenty to see and shows to watch. You really couldn't name all the species you get to see. We're staying in Playa de las Americas about a hour and a half away by coach and I would recommend going to visit Loro Park from wherever your staying. I can see why its rated No 1, you won't be disappointed. Theres plenty of places to eat & drink from little kiosks to restaurants, lots of toilets and has designated smoking areas as you go through the park. You can even join a tour and get to pet some of the animals and speak to the keepers. If I get the chance to go again I will. Gets the full 5 stars from me.
To all at Loro park thanks for a great time and keep up all your hard work in the conservation of all your wonderful animals.

Very disappointed. Cage sizes are very small found it quite upsetting. Orca show not the best (having been to seaworld this didnt even come close) and tanks very very small. Unbelievably even toilet cleaners look for tips and have collecting trays. WHY?? Very very money oriented. T-shirt prices vary considerably from shop to shop surely they should be a standard price throughout the park

Situated on the northern side of Teneriffe, area experiences rains more often and that's visible in the vegetation of the park which quite breathtaking. Obviously, grounds are kept as well.
Park area is large and paths will take you through it. They appear random at first, but in fact they will lead you through the park in quite systematic fashion. The numerous shows are timed so you can go from one to another like clockwork.
Along the paths there are different souvenir shops, a couple of restaurants (which on the pricy side) and plentyful supply of toilets.
The most numerous exhibit are the birds that are found along almost all of the paths and in addition there is a large(!) walk-in cage that features elevated plantforms and a hanging bridge.
The most memorable are the dolphin, orca and seal shows but there is a plenty of interesting exhibits like the hippopotamus, large penguin enclousure and several others. A day be spent there easily from start to an end, and still you'll have a hard time seeing all in a one visit.
Quite recommended.

A very well maintained park, should opt for the premium pack during busy periods as it gives easy access and best views of all animal shows. this is one park where we managed to spend the whole day without feeling tired as everything is perfectly planned. This is highly recommended to anyone visiting Tenerife. I would strongly tell anyone to buy the twin ticket for Loro and Siam saving money for both. great days out for the entire family. Food on both sites is cheap and great but if you buy both tickets online before you go you get 2 x 10 vouchers to spend on food and drink on each site.

Awesome shows and they provide pretty good information about species. One thing we realky enjoyed was aquarium. Downside is the size. We were able to walk through 8n about 3 hours including ocra show. Also I personally would expect more info tables to read. Also it feels like they push to pay more for the information. So, from educational perapective it mighr he a bit boring if you wouldnnot hire a guide.

Was a good day out, it's well kept and the staff were great. Door price seems expensive but it was well worth it - food inside was cheap for a tourist attraction. The exhibits and animals were fantastic - while some don't agree with dolphin shows, they've made thiers educational. Once you get close, follow the signs not sat-nav - we ended up at the staff parking behind the park.
