Quite interesting zoo with very nice animal shows. Go check out the whales! Also love their approach to help save and breeds parrots. Be sure to check out the hatchery!
Great Zoo. Heavy on birds and aquatic animals. Still had many exotic land mammals, like a white tiger! Not suitable for wheelchairs though many used strollers. Very hilly with some steep hills.
I cannot give this park a higher review despite it's location.. VISITORS. Cetaceans are being held in CAPTIVITY and dying. The number of Orca deaths is rising, however tickets will still be sold. It made me cry to see this and I could only advise PLEASE visit the park, however DO NOT BUY A TICKET OR SUPPORT THIS CRUELTY TO ANIMALS.
Otherwise the staff at the hotel were friendly. They too are not allowed to speak of the shows.
Really good place where human and animal worlds could interact. Its good that there are people that are thinking and doing something for all humanity. And teaching others.
Lori park really does deserve it's world ranking as the number 2 park for wildlife. It still manages to maintain its focus on birds but also has some really excellent enclosures and displays of other animals. If you like animals this is worth the fairly hefty price to enter. Best to buy tickets on line before you depart your home country to get the best deal.
Brilliant place to go! Great to see so many different types of animal, and theres lots of information for those who like to educate themselves too. The gorillas are a great welcome into the park and the penguin enclosure is fabulous. There are so many highlights throughout the day its difficult to pick a favourite!
What a great park this is. It's massive and well worth the money. The shows are entertaining aswell. Lots of places to eat and drink and if you smoke which I don't there is lots of places to do so. Lots of animals to see aswell. Great for all ages our child is 2 and loved. If we ever go to Tenerife again we will defo be coming again
Huge Park , lovely animals. Don't miss the shows with Orca and the rest of the animals , a lots to see
Fantastic xxx only downfall is food over priced kids meal 9.95
Absolutely fantastic loved the sea lion show the dolphin show and absolutely loved the orca show, what an amazing day
We've enjoyed the orca and dolphin show. the park is clean but not so diversified. To many parrots for my taste. And they are kept in cages where they cannot fly...
This is the number one place to go in Tenerife.
A whole day of entertainment watching animals and shows in a beautiful clean park environment...
It also teaches you about these animals and how they help all these species from going extinct...
Impressive selection but alot of the animals don't look the healthiest
Most amazing place and I think that it is the most beautiful zoo in the world! You have 4 shows of dolphins, whales, seals and parrots.
They treat the animals so good and it is amazing to see the connection between the trainers and the animals.
It is so worth to go to Tenerife just because of this place!
Brillant more than just a zoo great experience must go attraction
Best zoo in the world... May be... not been to them all but this place is special. Although it is a zoo the animals are treated like guests of a 5 star hotel.
Awesome zoo. Easy access from the beach via the train. I really enjoyed this place.
Great family trip. Impressive shows. Very well maintained and clean. Staff very polite and helpful. Loads to see. Cafes a little expensive so would advise taking your own snacks, but most places like this are. Animals are well kept and seem happy.
Great place to visit with familly lots things to see
Plan a whole day to enjoy this marvelous place.
Parrots, gorilas, lions, penguins and much more.
Live shows of orcas, dolphins and parrots.
The best thing to do is to buy a "behind the scenes" tour.
Well worth a full day visit, plenty to see and admire, great great value !
Superb place to check out the animals. Great for all ages. Can get lost wondering around for hours. Just keep an eye on show times
Great place to go, need to spend more than one day though in order to properly take in everything. When I went they had a special offer of a cheap ticket but had to be used within 14 days
Definitely a place to visit when traveling to Tenerife; you can spend a whole day there easily if you aim to fully explore the park. The shows are also unique, and enjoyable to watch, the dolphins being a personal favorite.
Also family-oriented, for anyone searching for a place to spend a day with their children, this is the place!
The words can not explain this place. Absolut MUST SEE when in Tenerife! We stayed for 6 hours and could stay even more. So much to see, so much to experience. Very dinamic and interactive zoo
Good zoo, fun filled day! If visiting tenerife it's should be on your to do list. Many animals and shows to see as well as interesting aquariums and variety of the same animals.
Amazing experience and amazing work these people do, just make sure you take the whole day to explore
Nice place, most animals have good accommodation, gorilla need more space.
Lovely way to spend a day. Plenty to see and we'll shaded on hot day.
This is an amazing experience for the hole family we did the vip Behind the scenes was amazing
What a amazing zoo this is shows where awesome it's a must see if in Tenerife
Beautiful! We were in several parks but Loro Parque is on a category of its own. From every corner it is clear that for the management the first priority is given to the well-being of the animals (one of the orcas was deaf when she arrived, and they developed a special language to interact with her). The second priority is cleanness. The whole park is spotless and well organized. We took the Priority tour and it was well worth the money. Tip: one day will not be enough, most likely. If you want to see everything, plan for two days.
Fantastic day out. Loads to see. Reasonably priced. Our whole family had a great time
Excellent place for kids who made us watch animal shows multiple times. You can get wet in front rows and ponchos cost 3. Later shows were nearly empty. Pizza Pasta restaurant kept kids happy ( 7.5 each). Park map a bit off scale but distances are not big. Small roller coaster ( 1 extra per person) and a tree house soft play for kids. Google maps takes you to the back of the park 1 5minute walk - with free parking. Official parking in front ( 4).
2nd visit to lorro in the 2 years we have visited the island. The first time we came we did not see around the whole park as there is so much so we were very keen to come again. The shows are fantastic I did find some of the parrot / bird enclosures to be very small but there were some lovely ones which had lots of space and were well set up. I would happily come back again and by then they will have a hippo enclosure as well. X
Nice place to spend a family day and see quite some unique animals. The shows are a must see, specially the sea lions and the whales. The place itself is very clean and well kept. However, it is a rather small place, which means it is crowded and you often bump or have to wait. Also, since there is so many people, you have to go about 30 mins early to each show and then spend some 10 - 15 mins to go out. So if you want to see 3 shows in a day, there is a lot of waiting to be done. Would be much better with a better system for the shows.
Loro Park gives you fantastic opportunities to see a selection of amazing animals especially those that are becoming endangered. The staff work hard and understand the animals needs. There are opportunities to see the work that they are doing behind the scenes.
Me and my partner loved it here. All animals where looked after accordingly and was super clean area.
Very poor animal welfare. Please think twice before booking tickets to visit.
This is one of the best zoos I have ever visited. The gardens are beautiful and the grounds are well maintained. The animal enclosures mimic there natural habitat. My definite favorite is the impressive pinguin hall where it actually snows and the light follows the seasons at the Pole.
So, it is not just parots that you get to see here!
My only criticism is the fact that this zoo features a number of animal shows. The quality of the shows is good to excellent, but I question if we still should use animals in this way.
#canariaslocalguides
How is this still opened after what happened and how they threat the orcas ??
Great place for a day out plenty for children to get involved with.
Simply brilliant. No words can come close to the amount of work and expertise that's gone into this zoo. Every corner tells a different story. Wonderful trees and plants. Very nice food for lunch . Great for whole family. Penguins habitat is like Antarctica. Go see for your selves.
Great park great shows, spent all day here and will be back again.
Were in many zoos in Europe, but this is incredible, especially if you want to enjoy the beauty of animals and fish of the oceans and seas !!! The owner, being already on a well-deserved rest, cares and invests in the newest projects for the rescue of animals and birds! And you feel it on every step! Indescribable delight from parrots, wonderful shows with sea lions, dolphins and of course with orcs! We advise you to take a VIP tour, which includes a Discovery Tour, lunch in a restaurant and the best places on the show! My advice: come before 09:30 and book for LORO PARK THE WHOLE DAY))))
Excellent day out. Great to see research going on through the glass. Jellyfish were nice place to walk through. Shows are great also, sea lions are hilarious.
Amazing day out, lots of animals to see and lots of places to eat
Great place, esucation is very well combined with fun, nicely equiped
Beautiful Park , lots of animals! Great shows with Delphines and Whales!
Dolphin, whale, sea lion shows were high quality! Zoo territory is very beautiful with amazing gardens, various species of animals. You can walk among parrots in a beautiful garden.
Nice park for families
Quite nice park, especially for children. Some attractions are nice for adults too. Very crowed - better to visit the shows early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Some of special guides are obtrusive.
Best exhibition of penguins in the world. Fabulous day out.Only disappointment was the sea lion exhibition was under construction. This was favourite thing when last here circa 20 years ago
We have had a lovely day at the park only missed the dolphins kept getting lost. The animal care is first class great place for a day out
Great for everyone, well organised and reasonable priced especially if buying as bundle
Great animal and bird park, well worth a visit. We did their 1.5hr discovery tour with a guide that was worth the small extra charge.
This park is absolutelly ok. Nothing special. The shows are good. Too many people there. Is not build for so much people. Price was 37+14 per person. Prices in Park are quite expensive. Peace of chicken bread 5 Euros... I think this park is rather a touristik hype and its hyped throughout the island.
Great tourist spot. Animals really looked after and cared for. You can save money buying a dual park ticket with siam. 10 euro each saving. We spent around 4 hours here. Sea animal shows fantastic. I loved the bond between the animals and the trainers. Nice place to eat. Over priced so take a pack lunch if you have a family. Short walking distance 25 mins from the centre or out car took 8 minutes. Parking can be very hard to find we got lucky. Or I believe there is a feel tourist train to take..... 5*
A day trip to Loro Park will make a nice addition to your memories from Tenerife. Great place to visit with the kids. Loads of sea creatures (and more) to see. Make sure you understand the show schedule to fully enjoy our visit in the park.
A very beautiful place, where you can stay with friends or family. The price is quite balanced and the location is gorgeous. If you have time take a look to this place and you'll be satisfied.
Right, word of warning, if you're approaching from the direction where you pass Aldi you will come to a roundabout when an oh so helpful local will stand in the road and tell you that the car park is full... Except its not.... He will direct you in to an alternative (wasteland) car park where his accomplice (a pirates of the Caribbean extra) will demand 5 euros for the day and possibly steal your sat nav once you're safely in the park....
The official car park is 4 euro and secure, and probably empty. A lot of people had fallen for this judging by the fact there was only one parking space left....
The park or parque is a great way to spend a day, of course there is the morals of caged whales, but the park is very obviously trying to overcome the negative vibes of having orcas toughing it out. They have a baby orca which was born in to captivity in 2017, which is beautiful to see.... But again, it's in a big fish tank.
The shows they put on are very entertaining, be it the sea lions (not seals), birds, dolphins, orcas, and the cinema.... Actually I haven't watched the videos in the cinema but I imagine its very educational. The staff clearly do care for the animals, emotionally and physically. I liked the penguins the most, they looked happy.
So basically, humans, we cheat each other and keep magestic creatures in glass bowl, (but I bet there's less plastic in the bowl than the ocean) and I'll be going again next year...with a sign to say the one eyed pirate is a lying bas##rd.
Nice zoo (I normally hate zoos for what they are). Biggest parrot zoo and has some very rare breeds. Also a lot of shows to see. We also parked outside the zoo to avoid the fee - if you're there early, should get a spot on the main road around 500m down towards south (that's where we parked, otros there are other free places as well).
Also made a friend that is probably fed up with us curious tourists..
What a beautiful zoo
Car park was cheap, close to the entrance and and the show with the dolphins was amazing.
Super duper park. Recommended to go for everyone. Cool place & best my holidays in Tenerife
Fabulous place to visit and support. Brilliant day out!
I understood the license for keeping orcas denied breeding.
Why are mother and calf separated? Is it because the calf is so deformed from inbreeding?
Orcas have brains so much bigger than ours and are sentient beings that we are privileged to see in their natural habitats. With film and television at our fingertips we should not be seeing them in small concrete tanks!
Their home is the great oceans of the world.
What a very sad place.
A fantastic day out today. You need to make sure you check on times of the shows so you can plan to get them all in. Thank you Loro Park for your involvement in keeping rare animal breeds from becoming extinct. So sad that humans think hunting these poor animals is OK.
Excellent day out only spoiled by adventure tour (cost an extra 11euros per person) guide who spoke so rapidly that many of her interesting comments went unappreciated.
Go there when in Tenerife to see it all you need to spend the whole day there wonderful time went as A VIP So went behind the scenes well worth it
Fantastic for children, especially on a rainier or off-season day in Tenerife. There are so many shows (dolphins, whales, etc) that will beautifully fill your day.
Penguin habitat is extraordinary.
Beautiful place to spend a day with kids and a lots of educational informations.
Truly dedicated to animals and preservation of endangered species.
Our family spent a very fun day at Loro Parque. The animals seem well cared for and I would recommend this visit to everyone from families with kids to adults!
After all the advertising and not knowing what to do with our last day, we finally decided to go to Loro Park. I have to admit it is a very nice zoo. The shows are enjoyable and everything is beautifully built. The price is a bit steep for what it offers though and since literally every bin on the island is sponsored by them, I think they make a bit too much off it. I would say it was worth it though. It's the price that keeps it from getting 5 stars for me.
Park is cool. Bit unpleasant was them selling of sun degraded raincoats to protect people on orca show. Dont buy these they will literally dismember before using them for first time. It was on the edge of being fraudulent. Also sea lions are closed till mid of december.
Can we say Animal Cruelty ! Don't support this type of business. Use of animals for profit. Nowhere near the animals natural habitat.
Horrible and cruel, do not fund these people and their cruel practices.
Staff were very rude and unhelpful.
They force you to take a photo on arrival despite you not wanting one and will not allow you to enter before taking one, oh and they want you to pay them on exit for the photo you didn't want. And get violent when you take a photo of there photo of you they attempted to hit my phone to the floor.
Disgusting people!
The enclosures for the animals are to small for them.
Food was expensive for the amount you receive. And had no taste. The
The flooring ..... Dangerously slippery
Too expensive for what it is .
Excellent way to spend any day while on Tenerife. Interesting variety of animals. I really enjoyed the area where you walk among birds. Its much nice than seeing them in cages.
Amazing zoo, animals well cared for! Grear discovery tour there too
Good for kids if you are into Zoo and animal shows.
Best zoo in the world, apparently. Best I've been to.
The shows where nice but educational, not real spectacular. The # football cam @ the orca show is nice #Splashzone means wet till your underwear :-)
Probably the best ZOO experience we ever had! Cannot describe in words the feeling and emotions that the sea lions, dolphins and whales transmit. A must see if you ever have the chance.
I must say I quite enjoyed the place as it had a lot of things to see. We came quite late however still managed to see most of the shows, which I think is a must to do as they had trained dolphins, sea lions, orcs and some more. In addition to this they had areas for parrots, penguins, lions and many more.
What I didnt like is that some animals were too crowded as such penguins had barely any space compared to their numbers, same goes for jelly fish. I guess it may look appealing to some people, however bad for animals. The price was on the high end, but I think spending 35 per person is worth considering what you get.
Nice place to visit. Great shows. Friendly staff. The tour was great to learn behind the scene about the place and how they look after all the animals and conservations plans for the future.
Brilliant day out. Lots of shows and our children enjoyed it.
Big park with lots of different animals. A bit of a money trap but well worth one visit.
Lovely Parque beautiful animals I would say be prepared to buy food and drink if your coming by your travel provider we stayed for 7 hours. Other than that a beautiful space in Tenerife.
A really worth while day out , been 7 or 8 times over many years and it s always able to offer something different
Have been before about 8years ago and the park is as amazing as ever. Came back for Christmas and New year. Very pleased to go again.Al&Barbie
Absolutely incredible place. But beware, plan the whole day there. It's massive and deserves the attention. Apart from all the amazing animals amd fish on display, it also has water shows with seals, orcas, dolphins, bars dotted along the pathways, restaurants, kids playworld, the lot! Highly recommend.
