Longview Vineyard is just south of Macclesfield in the Adelaide hills, a very easy 40 min drive from the city. Check in is done at the Cellar, so we had a wine tasting prior to having a Tapas lunch in their restaurants , delicous food served by friendly happy staff. The accomodation is clean and modern, and our suit had magnificent views over the vineyard from our rear balcony. The breakfast provisons left for us were fresh and generous. We enjoyed our stay.

Very well thought out vineyard facility, with tasting areas, function rooms, dining areas and accommodation. Meals for the function area were varied, tasty and delicious. Views were over the vineyard and surrounding areas and quite scenic and serene. A very nice place to visit and this was the second Christmas function I have attended here and hopefully not the last.

This accommodation was amazing and super clean. Room 12 had fantastic views especially with the sunrise from the balcony.
Complementary items were plentiful and well thought out. Like cheese for crackers, lots of milk for coffee (which is a winner for me). The complementary breakfast Included premium local bacon and organic eggs plus more. I was so impressed that they had thought of everything. Even the body wash and shampoo bottles were quite large. Very impressed.

Attended for a wedding. The staff were so pleasant and joked around with us guests making it a very nice night. The views and venue are beautiful and they can accommodate sit down or cocktail and have accommodation on site

Fantastic wedding venue. Beautiful rolling hills of vines make an incredible backdrop for your special day.
I attended a wedding here during 2016 and the staff made the day extra special. Extremely prompt to refill drinks, quickly serving food and very friendly!
Inside the barn for the reception was just as pretty as the view outside, rustic wooden barn with a modern feel is a perfect spot to host the reception. The room felt intimate but not crowed and the inhouse speakers were great for amplifying the speeches.
The food was delicious! 5 stars.
Thank you, looking forward to my next event here.

Stayed overnight in one of the vineyard rooms. Great modern facilities and serenely quiet at night. There is an amazing view at the top of the hill. Wake up early, cook yourself some of the provided bacon and eggs to watch sunrise over the vineyard. Well worth it.

Stayed 2 nights at the spa suite and had a great experience. The view was good looking over the vineyard. Only pity was we didn't had time to check out the cellars as we are usually out during the day. Would love to be back.

My partner and I stayed at Longview overnight on the 2nd of March 2019. I never write reviews but felt like one was needed as good customer service is very hard to come by in this day and age. The moment we arrived at 12.30pm for lunch the staff at Longview where extremely accommodating and lovely. They were very knowledgeable about the food and wine and gave great recommendation on what to eat and drink. The food and wine was delicious, came out quick and was very fresh. We both thought it was very well priced for the high quality. The room we stayed in was very nice and the breakfast the next day, delicious and plenty for two people. I would highly recommend a visit to this beautiful winery. We will be definitely be back and appreciate how well we were looked after.

Attended a wedding at the venue which hosted both the ceremony and the reception. The ceremony was held on the front lawn with the vineyards as the backdrop. Very scenic and a perfect spot to get hitched. The reception was held in the barn, which is a great function venue. Staff were courteous and friendly. All the food coming out the kitchen was tasty and of excellent quality. They also catered for food allergies and vegetarian diets. Will visit again for a tasting :)

Attended a set menu lunch. Waiter was rude when he bothered to come to the table. Served dry bread rolls, not enough oil to go around the table. Meal was otherwise OK but very expensive. Table was charged for 2 extra bottles of wine which we never ordered or received (was remedied later when challenged - check your receipts). Location is very nice. Shame about the very poor service.

My wife and I are staying with Family in Macclesfield. We walked 3km's to get to the winery. Beautiful walk...When we got there at 240pm, we were told that we could not be served lunch. Walked back to Maccy and went to the pub. Maybe it's the colour of my skin or the way we were dressed. There were other people having lunch.... The older lady that was the manager was not very welcoming. 5 stars for the walk. 1 star for the winery just so I can post this message

The attention to detail is phenomenal, the innovators behind Longview vineyard got it right. There wine is sensational (get in on their Yakka Shiraz), Longview doesn't only do wine the right way, they've excelled in many aspects, their recent facility renovation is properly engineered, well thought out and quite simply utilitarian. The accommodation suits every visitors; well it suits me. The accommodation offers a stunning western view, of the Adelaide hills. Sunday tapas at Longview is unmissable. Get in on it. Shakkas!

Stayed for one night in the Spa Suit - photos online don't do justice especially for the amazing bath! The room had lovely views of the vines and was very clean. Liked the low key hospitality, checked in and left to ourselves. The privacy was nice. The breakfast provided is such a nice touch and was thoroughly enjoyed on the deck in the sun the next morning :)

Only issue was the bed was slightly uncomfortable and was clearly 2 mattresses put together. I feel a mattress topper would fix this.

Still will highly recommend to others. Thanks again!

Wines are all outstanding and extremely well priced. On site accomodation is also amazing and have some of the best views of the region. It s a little further than other wineries but well worth the extra drive.

We stayed in the spa suite and, while the accommodation was nice, it was not amazing and the service lacked that extra 'special touch'. When paying $400/night for accommodation you would expect a couple of minor additional extras that can go a long way. For example, a bottle of champagne on arrival at the suite (I had called in advance to let the team know the accommodation had been booked as a surprise anniversary present for my partner), bath robes (getting out of the spa isn't quite the same without big fluffy white robes!), nicer shampoo.

In addition, the spa suite shares a balcony with the adjacent apartment, removing any existing feeling of seclusion.

Check in is by 5pm. We arrived at 4:30, quickly dropped our bags in the room and rang reception to ask if we could come for a quick tasting. The response was no, with no room to move. Again, it's the little touches that make you feel like they have gone out of their way for you that make all of the difference.

In summary - nice place but wouldn't stay there again and wouldn't recommend.

One of the best wedding and reception venues I've been to. They asked the MC to mention that the vineyard is a "work place" and encouraged us not to go rampaging through the vines, roll down the hills or swim in the lake which I thought was a bit of a dampener but fair enough. The food, wine and ambiance each deserve a mention.
