First, the beach is stunning - wide, white and clean - as good as any in the Carib.
Second, the rooms - while in need of refreshing as are all hotel rooms after X years -- are enormous with fantastic views and terrific kitchenettes.
Third, I saw some bad reviews of the service and this surprises me b/c I have been visiting the resort for a number of years and have always found the staff to be eager and helpful -- better in fact than at some of the 'fancy' hotels with famous names.
Fourth, tennis and golf galore.
Fifth, pizza to the room! Can't beat it.
Go and enjoy.

Beautiful view and large rooms but substandard in many other ways. The service was poor at guest services, in the restaurant and at the pool. Little oversights like not having luggage carts readily available, a lack of walkway lighting after dark, or poolside music and activities were disappointing. We decided to check out early and find a more suitable resort for our needs.

The tennis courts are good, albeit a few miles away from the hotel. There is a fab private beach. However, dredging carried out by rusty dredgers causes smells and smoke regularly drifts onto the beach. Don t go to this hotel for a beach holiday until the dredging is over and there is no red tide.

The rooms were decent and most of the staff attentive. I found they were much better at accommodating leisure needs than business needs and were not as prompt in that area as some other places.

Nice resort in a convenient spot. Beach and dunes are beautiful. The hotel is set up similar to that of a condo complex. Our room features a kitchen and large balcony that expands the length of the condo. The decoration is a little dated but the awesome housekeeping staff took care of us. Great views of the ocean and golf course! Some covered parking if you are lucky (7-8 spots per building) then all other spots are very close, but uncovered. Lobby/main building is a 2 minute walk outside. Walk to the beach is 2-5 min, depending on location of your room & building. Pool deck and cabana bar seemed very popular during our stay... when it was not raining (thanks, Alberto...). We ate once at the restaurant inside of the lobby, Sands Poine (?), which offered a fair variety of seafood and steaks. Would recommend the Wagyu cheeseburger. Also you will find a stellar Publix that is no more than 3 miles north on Gulf Of Mexico Drive. Going south on Gulf of Mexico Drive will take you to St. Armand s Circle (great shopping and dining!) in approximately 2 miles. I think that this resort would provide nearly anyone with great amenities to help relax and enjoy the Gulf.

Recently stayed there and everything was perfect. Staff could not do enough for you. Rooms were clean, cheery and well appointed. The bed was just as comfortable as the one I have at home (sleep number). The resort is low key, no wild parties at the pool, water temperature at the pool and ocean perfect. Food is hotel food but for the most part nice. I'm going back. I've been to many resorts in Florida and the low key, relaxed "be happy" atmosphere was just what I was looking for

Nice, friendly staff and the room was very clean. Loud closing doors, noisy upstairs guests and noisy AC compressor could not be helped. The breakfast had healthy choices and there were bags of goodies for those who checked out before breakfast.
