Avoid booking through Londonist DMC Student Accommodation Agency, first they lie about the room- They gave me a room where I was surrounded by constant hammering and drilling and construction work, even after specifically asking them about and being assured that I wont be disturbed by it. The construction starts at 7 am in the morning. Then they take 5 days to offer a "solution" which is to move me from the first floor to the second floor, in the same kind of room. They then have the audacity to call this an upgrade and act like this is a compensation. I haven't been able to sleep or study here and they are treating my complaints like jokes. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS OR YOU WILL SUFFER.
Staffs usually don t reply mails after you paid the deposit. And be careful they ll try to hold your deposit as long as they can. Not recommended unless you have no better choices.

Worst agency ever do not use them!! Way too over priced and they are very rude. They only care about their money and have no sense of compassion or decency towards the students especially during these terrible times. They are impossible to get ahold of and they try to rip you off when you are trying to speak with them reasonably.

I wanted to end my contract and due to covid and going back home for some other personal emergencies and they refused to help. They wanted me to pay a termination but also to keep paying the rest of the rent and get credit. This means they'd make an extra months rent from me as a termination fee and they'd get the rest of the money. They wanted to trick me and they were completely rude and unprofessional. DO NOT USE THEM!! Rent directly from the housing you want to stay these people are terrible.

Before ever seeing the Accomodation I've booked and before I even got to London, I already had to pay HALF of the rent for the whole time of my stay in London (5 Months).
I than realized that the accomodation is way too far away from my daily destination to keep staying there and I told this to Londonist DMC on the third day after my arrival. They than told me that I will not get any of my money back. Also if I don't find a replacement for my tenancy I will have to pay the second half of my rent (5 Months) despite living there for not longer than 3 whole days.
Not to mention that it is absolutely overpriced anyway.
I have lived in London for more than 5 years and lived in various living places but the best experience I've had is with Chapter Accommodations The rooms are very comfortable and everything is of high quality Prices maybe a little bit too high but definitely worths ever penny to live there Everything you will ever need for a comfortable stay is nearby: markets, underground stations, cafe and restaurants I didn't have any troubles during my stay as I mentioned above, it the best student accommodation I would recommend for everyone
Had a great experience staying here for a month, great facilities, clean and modern rooms, very friendly staff and there's a very nice rooftop area where you can study or just hang out. There is only one working elevator at the moment which makes waiting times a little bit longer, but they're getting it fixed soon and it just meant taking the stairs a little bit more often which is good anyways.
It is recommended to book directly with the accommodation facilitator/provider than through londonist as they bind you in their own terms and conditions. I have personally experienced this where my accommodation provider (Chapters spitalfields) has canceled installments even refunded students from when they moved back home and whereas londonist is taking high cancellation charges or is asking students to pay the entire balance installments in these unprecedented times of Covid-19 where students have no idea whether they would be using the premises in future.
Stay as far away as possible and tell your friends and family to stay away as well. You have better choices! London is huge and offers countless opportunities that are not high risk and low reward!
I would recommend anyone who values their money to stay as far away from Londonist as possible. There are many alternatives for rent in London which are a much better choice for students, interns or working people. Apart from the rooms being unrealistically small, overpriced and lacking cleanliness, which would not normally cause a 1 star review, the managers do not honor force majeure as a cause for refund. You are forced to pay the rent in either 2 or 3 installments. They are done way in advance with the intent of keeping your money if you end up wanting to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances such as Corornavirus.
Perhaps the most important thing to note is that because they do not respect force majeure is that if something were to happen such as the building burning down you would still not be entitled to getting your money back.
The best thing you could do for yourself is to avoid booking through these crooks for long term stays because you never know when the next big world crisis is going to hit you and Londonist will mercilessly taunt you for being gullible enough to pay someone 2 months in advance for a service you might not receive!
Hey, Londonist DMC Student Accommodation Agency your vehicle repeatedly blocks the pavement and the Tactile paving near Devons Road DLR station. I just saw a car swerve a lady having to use the road to pass.
Efficient service and quick reply! Half price promotion is given, nice and tidy accommodation, great follow up and quick maintenance. Staff are nice! Illian and one male staff online was particularly helpful!
To all students if you are looking for an agency to book a student room, I strongly recommend to don't take this agency! They treated me just like a contract. It's not fair to act like that when everyone must be united you just took an advantage of this situation. shame on you ! I would like to point out that a few days after I asked for this , they posted a discount of 25% to attract new clients, I still contacted them to ask them to rent my room and that I could postpone my stay! I didn't even ask for a refund just what any honest agency can do in this exceptional time and situation, but you're just thieves ! I never received answer ! To all people they will read this review don t loose your time and money with them. you did nothing for me your priority is simply the money you told me that the contract is a contract and that it cannot be changed in the face of all bad thing that is happening, we need to all now what mean solidarity in this difficult moment for everyone ! You are only interested in money! I didn't even ask for a refund I asked you to postpone my stay and rent my room but you didn't even answer me. The Other agencies do it ! it s not fair ! shame on you !
I had an amazing experience woth Londonist, it helped me find an amazing accommodating and i could fully trust then with their choice. I was really anxious about finding a right place to oive and your crew, especially Dinara Suleimanova, was an amazing help, so i wanted to thank her separately.
