It's an interesting concept great people helpful and nice, bilingual computer girls
I brought my computer in for a keyboard replacement on June 20th and just now received it on August 12th. It took them 5 weeks to even order a keyboard replacement. The order took a week to come in and sat in the shop for another week. After I called to complain, I was given a discount on the labor cost. The normal labor cost is $30/hr but they charged me $10/hr. The keyboard costed $72.74 and the whole charge was $82.74. This means that out of the whole seven weeks that my computer was here, it was worked on for only one hour. I know that this is a non-profit organization and that everyone is a volunteer but this was extremely disappointing.
I want to thank the IT guy by the name of Richard. I went to get a part, and he treated me amazingly well.:) I truly recommend this place
Very bad service from the girl on the phone. The dude is dope. Smooth service but the girl who answers the phone sounds like she hates life sorry to say but she s in the wrong field. I train my employees to give the best svc regardless of how you feel Sorry for the bad review but she geta the review not the store

Their tech guys are awesome. I recently purchased 2 laptops for me and my friend. If it wasn't for loaves I wouldn't be able to afford one, plus they gave me a free printer. They have several options for low cost internet if you qualify. Truly a God send !!
A fantastic team of staff and volunteers. A valuable community and county resource.

Low cost computers, tested and in good shape. The CEO, Christian, is passionately dedicated to providing low cost or free computers to the low income people of Monterey county. He is the main driving force of the program, This is a friendly, helpful agency dedicated to providing technology and education to those in need.
Great customer service. Super friendly people and was so easy to make the transaction.
Great nonprofit serving the community for years. I ve donated all of our used computers to them over the years. These days with stay at home learning they have especially been helpful to those that could otherwise not have a computer. Check out their website.
Wonderful computer repair shop. Would definitely recommend for refurbishing electronics or buying new, low cost computers or parts.
My old laptop has been on the blink. How alarming can this be? You tell me? Sounds familiar? Luckily there is Fish & Lopes with their volunteer computer technicians. I would like to thank Gran M, one of the volunteers, who repaired my laptop for two days with his devoting expertise, time & kindness. Working & repairing, backing up data, re-installing the operating system, restoring data & he kindly has installed Publisher, a program that comes in handy for me to use with my writing material. Hurrah! My laptop has been restored. I thank you very much, Grant for your time & kind professionalism. Happy Thanksgiving! You are among the very best. I wish you all at Fish & Lopes safe journey & good fortune. Your help is dearly appreciated. 11/18/16 Sincerely, Gabriele P.S. Grant, good luck on becoming a Robatisist.
My experience as a volunteer and a customer was great, I got to meet nice individuals, just like me that where trying their best by helping others in the process. I was one of the luckiest person there. I appreciate all the help and learning experienced and knowledge about computers in 3 weeks, than in my life.

LFC can make $35.00 netbooks for improving education around the world.
Someone give them all the hardware they refuse to fix and give them money to distribute the hardware to needy counties.
First I will start this review with we are all limited by our experience
With that said
I went to L and F in Feb 2019 to have them work on my laptop and instead of working on it it was recommended that I purchase a laptop off E-Bay I did so in Aug 2019 it stopped playing dvd's so i took it back to L and F to see what was wrong they told me it needed a new dvd drive ( by e-mail) i responded to go ahead and purchase it never got a response a month later I went in to office and was told that I had to purchase it first and I told them that I never got a response from there rep ( strike one)
a week later I was e-mailed again and told that the seller had sent the wrong part(foul ball) i then went in to said office and was told it was ready it was not the scroll did not work the keyboard did not work the mouse did not work (they all did before it was WORKED ON)then I was told it was also my mother board so they would build and SELL me a laptop after destroying my old ones for parts ( per my recommendation)
it has now been over two months (STRIKE TWO) I then waited until Dec.11 to call them and find out what was going on they said they had a built computer for me but did not know what price the boss would charge me! So I had had enough (three months) I told them I just wanted my (now destroyed)laptop back and I would not trust them to change a watch battery . my exp. tells me they played the old bait and switch
In two words, Loaves, Fishes and Computers is a right place to start , learn and refine your skill to be an IT tech and more. Ali Ibrahim
Love these guys. They are fixing and repairing and selling older computers at such a low cost for those of us who cannot afford to buy a new computer. You should check them out! Highly recommend
It is an excellent opportunity where people with low income can obtain some type of computer or electronic accessory. All the staff offers very kind attention!
Super kool Staff. Excellent concept and idea for A company in todays' modern world.
I was looking forward to the chromebooks for my 3 girls but i had to exchange one within 4 days of purchase and now im on my 2nd one with the same problem...i don't live in salinas to have to be driving 25 minutes to be exchanging them.plus i was given the same purchase date on the swapped one...
could it be that they overheat and shutt down? If so how long before they turn back on?
I hope its something simple
