BEWARE - I had to pay for unnecessary, unplanned, unauthorised work & parts - they never warned me or asked for it.
The person I talked to, was totally unmoved, repeating that they always do that (and they will do that next time even if that's unnecessary!) - I guess that means I should have guessed that they might do sneak some unwanted and unathorised stuff, and prevent that.
Absolutely no sign of remorse or anything that they would like to make it less blunt, cheeky, and demanding, absolutely no apologies.
Avoid them if you can, or at least tell them you do not consent to any implicit additional work or charges.

I got only the figure in pounds, no list of charges provided, no mention of paid oil change. I asked for the service as per manufacturer's guidance - you're Kawasaki dealer after all.

I replaced oil 3 months, 3.5k miles ago. Kawasaki recommends replacing oil every year or 7.5k miles as far as I remember. In the manual it's planned at the next service (15.2k miles)... 7.5k miles after the 7.6k service. I don't ride a lot or hard, so manual is OK for me.
I'd prefer to follow the manufacturer's recommendation - or did they specifically ask you to to change it more frequently? Or did you design the engine since you know better?

You did it with the oil and filter change, it's hard to question that.

This is quite correct. That was good opportunity to ask me about the oil change - I might even agree, as I did with the front pads (still having half left, remember? It's only the rear that were quite low).

I can't even guess why could that happen, initial estimate had no time/material factors in it.
During this work we also identified some warranty work which was needed, and which you agreed to have carried out with us once the warranty parts arrived.
This is factually incorrect: BEFORE even handling the keys *I* have described very specific issue, which has been THEN recognised as a very specific fault, and warranty work was agreed BEFORE the service even started. It was not "identified during the work",someone misled you.
You did not discover other minor issue I have and did not mention - or did you? What is that?
If you were so upset with our service, I would ask why you agreed to use us for further work to be done?
I wasn't upset with the quality of the work, I believe in second chances, and I will ask not to replace my oil&filter this time.

I am sorry you are upset with that, but the reaction of the person I spoke with to my concerns and surprise was as unapologetic as it's humanely possible.
If in the the manufacturer's manual oil&filter replacement is NOT planned at 11,500k service, it is unnecessary. It's as simple as that. I had to pay for that - you can't deny that too.
It was never brought to my attention that this additional, unexpected and paid work will be conducted, I was always clear about specific service I am booking - standard 11,500k service as per schedule.
Even if you had best intentions in mind you did unnecessary, unauthorised work on my bike and made me pay for this - I don't think I could consider it high standard. Do you?

There was a small rattle from my akro on my Zx10r. Jim from service found a slot for me the next working day and when I arrived my bike was taken immediately to the service department by Andy and Harry who quickly ascertained the problem and removed the offending part and sent it off to akroprovic for replacement, leaving my bike fully rideable and rattle free.

I was looking to buy a new Kawasaki just over a year ago and after contacting several dealers I paid Lloyd Cooper a visit. I got a good feeling about the place as soon as I walked in, the staff were approachable and there was no pressure selling. The whole process from initial enquiry to collecting the bike was trouble free with excellent support throughout including a test ride on a slightly older version of the one I was going to buy. Since then I have had the bike serviced twice by Lloyd Cooper, again with the same high level of customer support. Being able to get the work carried out on a Saturday morning is a big plus point.
I would recommend Lloyd Cooper to anyone who is looking for reliable customer support for sales and service.

I used Lloyd Cooper for the first time in February 2014, and I am very happy that I did. I've had my Piaggio scooter for about 8 years, and over the past few years the performance has deteriorated considerably, despite the attention of a different service centre which I was using. On it's MOT, Lloyd Cooper failed my scooter on several points which they have since fixed. After the work done to it, the bike felt much more stable and more powerful. I will definitely be returning to Lloyd Cooper for further repairs, even though I have another (inferior) service centre which is much closer to me.

Friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming staff. Booked my Xmax 125 in for a service, explained to them some minor issues I had been having. Thoroughly checked the machine for issues, found minor problem, suggested solution, did not change part without first showing me photos of the found issue as a replacement part would need ordering, add to the service bill, was not 100% necessary for current safe riding, recommended replacing some time in the near enough future. Full breakdown of service costs and necessary parts replaced ie. brake pads, oil filter, very competitive pricing even if you scour the web to source parts yourself. (All service costs listed on their website, no surprises) Took the scooter out on the road for 30 minutes and I honestly can't remember it ever performing so smoothly especially throttle response. I will without doubt recommend this store to anyone who cares about their machine and wants to see it looked after. Also whilst looking for a larger bike whilst in store staff very open minded and knowledgeable recommending not only their own products but praising various other machines from various other manufactures, NO HARD SELL, just honest enthusiastic bikers. A+++

Friendly and efficient service. Amazingly they seem to have managed to squeeze quite a lot of the Kawasaki range into a tiny space. However this does make looking around the bikes quite difficult. Ryan however manages to ease out into the aisle, the Ninja 650 I was interested in so I could have a good look. Lucky for us the no other customers wanted to come in and get past. Deposit paid and 3 weeks later I'm the happy owner of my first kwacker. Follow up calls and emails also First Class (KTM could learn from this!).

I like this company as they offering you almost everything and at good quality. Well, it happened once, during a service, not to fix properly a coolant hose. Of course, in 10 miles, in a remote area (forest) the hose blown up and I lost all the liquid. I had to call a van to pick me up on my money.

Excellent service as always, major repair to a known fault before Christmas, the team did everything to ensure the problem was resolved as painlessly and quickly as possible. Having moved from Yamaha to Kawasaki approx 10 years ago, I am still a Kawasaki owner. Yes because of the build quality and ride experience of the bikes, but more so because of the experience with MotorcyclesDirect as an approved dealer.

I was bought a used Vespa from here as an engagement present last November. Have not been able to use this throughout most of Winter as would not start. After having this looked at recently turns out the choke was broken, to add to this I've been unable to get this fixed as the bike turned out to be an Indian model (not made for the UK market) so the parts aren't available!
Since I live some 200 miles from the dealer I didn't fancy paying the shipping to send this back for repairs and have now subsequently sold the bike to a local dealer to cut my losses.
These guys seem to have generally good reviews however I cannot recommend them based on my experience. They did call me after reading this review and claimed they'd 'look into this' but haven't gotten back to me. I'm not going to chase this since it's unlikely they'll offer any kind of compensation for the money I lost buying and selling the bike.

I have never been to LCMD or in fact met any of their staff. I decided that I was going to purchase a new Vespa GTS300 HPE Super in red. I did the usual shopping around and LCMD provided the best all round deal. From the outset, the staff were knowledgeable and massively helpful despite not being able to deal face to face. The bike was ordered and delivered to Southampton docks in a totally blemish free and punctual manner for me to collect. They even made me an additional number plate for my cherished VRM that was to go on the bike later!! Overall, a worry and stress free purchase. I would highly recommend LCMD.
