I'm guessing the pizza is tombstone frozen pizza. That along with everything else was almost certainly purchased first at the local 7-11. After eating here, I'm pretty sure their "kitchen" consists of a toaster oven, and microwave. No kids meal. Any deviation from the menu or made to order? Forget it. Judging from the strong smell of years of spilled beer, I'm guessing this is more of a drinking place exclusively.
The only good thing about this place is the location...right on the river. It's a shame that the owners don't do anything to spruce it up or train the staff better. Service/Staff is extremely slow, not friendly, and untrained; the dirty dish cart is outside by the patrons (gross), the inside decor is too cluttered, it smells like urine, and the jukebox doesn't work. Too bad, since this could be a HUGE hit in the area.
Best cider in Chicago so far. Get the Magners on tap.
On any busy night this is a home for refugees from the business district and Viagra Triangle. Ever wanted a drunk bro to throw his $1000 suit jacket at you because he forgot there are other people in the bar as he harasses the waitress for more shots? Regular staff are good people. Customers not so much.
Cold beer, Friendly staff. Great place watch a game or hang out with friends.
Last week my friend was over charged and has not been able to get his money back. Additionally, we were given the check several times without asking for it.
Right by the Riverwalk. Great place to have a drink or two. Free popcorn.
They couldnt make a grilled cheese. Severely confused the waitress, who just looked like i asked for a Gordon Ramsay dish. Holy cow. Bread. Cheese. Griddle, Grilled cheese.
I enjoy Lizzie McNeill's because of the outdoor patio by the river, for the seasonal barbeques and the friendly staff. This is a great neighborhood spot to mingle with the neighbors, watch a game and enjoy a drink. They do a number of special events here, notably a huge tent party on St. Patrick's Day when the river is dyed green. Lots of fun!
Carlee is awesome she deserves a raise!! She really makes the experience awesome
Perfect spot for a drink by the river on a nice day.
Nice place. Great food. No French fries, sides are chips or coleslaw. They have games to play like Jenga while your waiting! Close to the Sheridan Hotel.
Great Irish Pub. Good atmosphere and very fast service. We had our food in about 10 minutes!
Absolutely loved this place. Bernie is an awesome bartender and will take care of ya.
Horrible service. They weren't busy over staffed and we waited forever for everything; drinks and even the bill! Highly not recommended.
Fun waitress. Overpriced drinks with almost no drank added.
We absolutely loved this place. The food was wonderfully delicious and everything was very reasonably priced. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We were there on their Trivia competition night, so we got to join in and had a great time. Everyone made us feel right at home.
Great location make sure you have it as one of your stops have a drink and something to eat
Great place to meet friends for excellent food and drinks.
Good food! We got the tortilla soup, the California wrap and hummus and it was great. Did take out while staying at Sheraton. 2min walk
Great place to grab a beer or have some authentic Irish cuisine. Their new water front table area is amazing, was really beautiful to visit here on a warm fall day.
I was going through it and thx to the bartender and an ice cold Heineken i felt much better : )
Nice Irish pub along the river. Fast service and good drinks, even though it was busy. Good selection of canned and bottled beers and just a few drafts.
Good place for drinks. Doesn t really have a view but sat outside and enjoyed drinks with a group.
Good bar by the river. Tucked away. Many beers on tap.
Having been to Ireland several times, this is what a true Irish Pub feels like. The place is very friendly and they have Irish singers occasionally. The food is average but when you are having a great time you are not looking for gourmet food. Great view of the river on the patio in the warm weather.
Very friendly bartender, good service and great atmosphere.
Great place to hang. Surprisingly great Shepard's pie and Lamb Stew!!!
Nice sports bar with good selection of beers and good food.
Quite quiet and cozy place.
Great place to stop in if you work all day next door and can't go anywhere else! Food is way better than bad, and the table service outside is impressive.
Went fishing today on The Chicago River - right across from Lizzie McNeill's. Went there for lunch. Very good food and service. Dine there. SDP
This is right next to the Sheraton Grand Chicago, which is very convenient once you realize how expensive the bar and restaurants are at the hotel. I probably got the best service I received the whole time I was in Chicago and I think there was only one server. I had bangers and mash, which was great. They had several local IPad to choose from. Both I has were excellent.
The view is amazing. Good spot to hangout for a drink. Avarage limited food.
Great food and excellent service. I asked for something refreshing but not too sweet to drink. The Moscow Mule that our server suggested was perfect.
I'm in town for a conference at the Sheraton and this is a great spot right next door. Good food, great local beers on tap and in cans/bottles, and REALLY awesome staff. Seriously, I went twice on a football Sunday with different bartenders and other staff and ALL were really friendly and awesome. It's a perfect spot to just chill and watch some sports and have some good drinks.
Service great, outside seating with an amazing view of the river!ask for a server named yolanda!
Great outdoor seating along the river. And shuffleboard!
Lizzie McNeill s is probably as close as it gets to a neighborhood bar for this area. Feels a little dive-y but is still an OK place to bring the kids along. Very lively joint and busy at times but probably just as accessible as anywhere. Food portions are tremendous! Food is OK, it s not going to win any awards but it s straight to the point. You know what you re getting, and you re gonna get A LOT of it. Come hungry! Wait staff took a while to even recognize we were there, but the waitress who took care of us did a pretty darn good job. In nice weather there s tons of outdoor seating along the river, with incredible views. It s something different for this area and that made it a good change-up. Lots of great beer to choose from!
Great neighborhood bar/restaurant. We love the friendly staff.
The drink prices here are really good compared to other Chicago locations but the music was way to loud so we left.
Pretty cool smaller place that is hidden away. Doesn t have the corporate feel that a lot of places have in the area. Beer was cold. Nachos were pretty good and the pretzel with cheese sauce was delicious!
Great view, the service is excellent and the beer is fresh !
Kitchen is open til 11! Try the shepherd's pie. Fun ambience, friendly bartender
Service slow, and the server seemed confused about what they offered. Ordered a dish that had a key ingredient substituted (grainy mustard with honey mustard) with no notice. I had to explain why that was bad before they agreed to take 1/2 the cost of that item off the bill, and then had to point out that they didn't take anything off the bill when it came time to settle.
I had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here. Similar to a place in Denver I liked.
Good bar food, nice selection of beers and right next to the river for good views.
"I know, let's add an extra drink to the tourist's bill." Because that makes me feel welcome. The way it was handled suggested that my server knew he'd done it; the correction came back almost instantly. At $8.00 a pint this is already overpriced.
Good food, good service, and reasonable drink prices
Food was decent. However I had to vomit after I saw the bartender wipe down the men's bathroom counter then use the same rag to clean the glasses being served to everyone else. I also enjoyed the discretion as he pounded coors light in a small plastic glass every time he walked past the beer taps.
Best in the summer. Has a a large patio and is located on the river where you may bring your drinks
Nice little pub with lots of regulars and good service, an an area that often has neither.
Great place to hang out with friends and family. Staff was awesome.!
This place is popular with locals that live in the area. Not the friendliest server and it took a while to get service. The beer tasted funny like it had a layer of grease.
Great way to spend St. Patrick s Day parade day. The wait was a little over an hour, pack accordingly. They have a heated tent and many bars to order from. For as crowded as it was, I never had to wait for a drink. I ll stress how crowded it is, to get from point A to point B you have to weedle your way through crowds, dodge girls pushing by and spilling their drinks, and step over trash. Workers were all friendly and having a good time. It s a nice way to drink outdoors in Chicago during late winter.
Stumbled upon this place while walking the waterfront. I had the Chicago dog and spicy chili, and they were amazing. Felt like a local pub, decent prices for the area too!
The menu and service were above our expectations. I really liked the atmosphere of this restaurant. Amazing spot to take the family out for dinner.
Best bartenders in Chicago. It's a great Irish pub and the location is fantastic.
My organization worked with John, the GM, to plan a private event at Lizzie McNeill's Irish Pub in April of 2018. We had an incredible experience. John was great to work with. He was very responsive over email and phone. He was very flexible and worked with our needs when it came to the details of our event. The staff and service were excellent. Our guests had a great time and have been raving about this event. I would highly recommend planning a private event at Lizzie McNeill's.
I get food from Lizzie's frequently, and I am always blown away. The menu is eclectic, and everything I have had is wonderful and in huge portions. Italian beef sandwich, shepherds pie, pulled pork nachos, Chicago dogs, BLT... You can't go wrong with any of them, and you will wonder how you get so much food for ~$10. Also, the place has a very cozy dive atmosphere - even a fireplace.
