This was a sold out dance show.

This was a sold out dance show.
I was impressed with the service of the ushers who were patient and respectful towards impossible demands coming from the audience.
Unfortunately, the food and beverage choices offered are poor and unhealthy but this is always the case in Canadian public venues. If there is an intermission, one has time to go outside the building to grab a healthier snack.
There is a free multilevel underground parking structure and plenty of paid parking outside.
The extracurricular activities and performances are good and decently priced.

A really nice place with a great atmosphere. The staff is really friendly. I came here for a Chinese play which was really colourful and beautiful! There was dancing, martial arts, costums, fantasy, love, tragedy and more. Great place to take your family and loved ones. There is paid parking here. The place is clean. This business is located in a safe neighbourhood.

Went to see GET THE LED OUT. The facilty is incredible. It offers classes on many things. Such as woodworking. .. pottery and wood carving. There was probably more but we moved on for the performance we were there for. In the auditorium we were amazed by the layout .... there's not a bad seat in the house. We sat in the 2nd balcony ... which provided excellent sight ... and sound..... and even the seats were super comfortable! Great place ...
We'll definitely go back!

Nice place too see a concert or enjoy a comedy performance! And. PARKING IS FREE AFTER 6!

BUT.

I definitely don't recommend the restaurant. It was beyond dreadful. Too bad, cause I've got 2 more performances to see, and I was so hoping to eat there, as it is so convenient! It's as if they make the food for babies! TGERES ABSOLUTELY ZERO SEASONING, ON ANYTHING!

This venue sets up nicely for formal listening or as a cabaret set up for listening to a live performance. I would caution however, that you should plan on eating or drinking either at the restaurant in the center or at a restaurant nearby but that should not be a problem as it is located right by square one

For two different events now ( ballet "the nutcracker", opera "la boheme") the organization of events is wonderful, the theater " hammerson hall" is well equipped and clean. Lovely helpful staff. Almost every detail is awesome except they are presenting with recorded music not live orchestra, which is fair for their price tickets. Overall experience very good.

State of the art entertainment facility in the heart of downtown Mississauga. Paired with Live Restaurant nearby, this place is perfect for an evening of performance and dining all in one place.

For out of country visitors, there is a convenient "Mississauga Guest" wifi that is free for anyone to use!

Choirs from different schools performed here as part of a charity concert for the salvation army ..the choir members were told to leave their stuff and other valuables to a supposedly secured room but when they came back to the room to retrieve their stuff some choir members that have expensive phones were stolen.. But the bad part of that also is that security and the choir director were making it sounds like they misplaced it and they are not responsible. So be aware people theres a thief or thieves working in living arts. Sucks!

About Living Arts Centre

The Living Arts Centre: Promoting Art and Culture for Over 20 Years

The Living Arts Centre (LAC) is a not-for-profit organization located in the heart of Mississauga's City Centre. For over 20 years, it has been promoting the arts, supporting local artists, and showcasing talent from around the world. The LAC is a hub for creativity and culture, offering art courses, camps for kids, and performing arts events that provide entertainment to the community.

The LAC was established in 1997 with a mission to enrich lives through arts education and cultural experiences. Since then, it has become one of Canada's largest multidisciplinary art centres with six performance venues including theatres, recital halls, an exhibition space as well as studios for visual arts classes.

One of the unique features of LAC is its commitment to supporting local artists by providing them with opportunities to showcase their work. The centre also hosts exhibitions featuring works by emerging artists from across Canada.

In addition to promoting local talent, LAC also brings in renowned performers from around the world. From classical music concerts to contemporary dance performances and theatre productions - there is always something happening at LAC that caters to all tastes.

Apart from hosting performances and exhibitions throughout the year; LAC offers various programs designed for people of all ages who are interested in learning about different forms of art or honing their skills. These programs include visual arts classes such as painting or drawing lessons; music lessons on instruments like piano or guitar; dance classes ranging from ballet to hip hop; theatre workshops where participants can learn acting techniques or stagecraft skills - just to name a few!

For children aged between 4-14 years old; there are summer camps available which offer an immersive experience into various forms of art such as painting & drawing camp where they can explore their creativity while having fun! There are also specialized camps like musical theatre camp where kids can learn singing & dancing while preparing for a final performance at end-of-camp showcase.

LAC's commitment towards making art accessible extends beyond its walls too! It partners with schools across Peel Region offering educational programming that integrates curriculum-based learning with artistic expression. This initiative helps students develop critical thinking skills while fostering creativity through hands-on activities related to different forms of art.

In conclusion; The Living Arts Centre has been an integral part of Mississauga's cultural landscape since its inception over two decades ago. Its dedication towards promoting local talent alongside bringing international performers makes it stand out among other Canadian multidisciplinary centres. With its diverse range of programs catering people belonging different age groups & interests - there truly is something here for everyone!
