In one way or another The Everyman Theatre has been my spiritual home since 1966. On a school trip to see a play. Through to being a member of the youth theatre in the seventies. Onto becoming a theatre goer in the eighties onwards ; 1986 when life took me away from Liverpool. But that's another story , to which of I have many. Malc Mansfield

The play was good but in the restaurant some members of staff were surly and grumbled about they should have charged us for the table. A coffee was charged for an we had to ask for it. I was standing in the aisle at the break stretching my legs and there was the announcement to come back to the theatre and one of the ushers made a b line for me and ordered me to sit down. There were other people standing and moving about getting into their seats. Had the lights gone down and I was standing for some time I don't think that would have been unreasonable. I am 63 years of age and was spoken to like a 12 year old. Through the second half of the show people were standing up uninvited and they weren't told off. I think some staff like the power and it has put me off coming back

Clean, modern, well furnished building. The staff polite, happy and helpful. Seating was comfortable. The actors and musicians put their heart and soul into the performance. An excellent night out.

Theatre in the round is a must see. You are drawn into the performance. Tickets are great value for money with no 'bad' place to sit. Make sure you have time for a drink and bite to eat first either in the Everyman bistro or cafe bar. Food is delicious and excellent value for money. Great range of drinks available. Staff are welcoming and provide friendly service.

I was there with my family during a brief trip to the UK and my husband, a Liverpool man, suggested it as an interesting change from a pub lunch. I ate a delicious sausage roll with a couple of interesting tasty salads and a side of chunky chips. The others all chose the veggie burger (halloumi?) Also with salad and fries. There was a good range of soft drinks as well as wine. We enjoyed it.

The shows are often a reinterpretation or reimagining, so a bit hit or miss, but the theatre itself is great. No seat is a bad seat in the Everyman. I really wish they would serve beverages in a sustainable alternative, rather than plastic. I guess I understand why they do it (worries about the prospect of broken glass in the theatre, perhaps?), but given the problems caused by plastic, I would hope they would want to find an alternative solution.

Superb professional theatre - very friendly and welcoming! Great productions (not seen a bad one yet!!) Bar and food options are terrific too, making a visit a good value night. I really love this theatre very much and look forward to visiting again soon for another great production!!
