I want to love this store but nearly every time I visit I get haughty aloof employees behind the counter who seem bothered by my questions. The selection is great, the layout is nice, and they have a large number of tables for gaming - a seemingly ideal setting for your FLGS (Friendly Local Game Store). Hopefully they will see this review (and others here with similar sentiments) and work on the "F" in "FLGS." If the workers would be more receptive to questions and not act like my presence is a chore then I would rate this place 5 stars.

I was surprised by the large well rounded board game selection! I expected it to be mostly Magic or Warhammer but they cover it all. The store is huge, the gaming tables don't interfere with the shopping and the staff was very friendly and informative!

LOVED this place. Went for the first time with my roomies and everyone was so helpful, the manager was showing us around and offering suggestions, a dude named Chad (inherently cool) helped us pick out what we wanted and then when I returned a short while after bc I was in a mood and mad at the randomness of booster packs, the manager and Chad helped me get all the things I wanted to make me happy in spite of my slightly unwarranted rage. Thanks Little Shop of Magic!

Great selection of board games, miniatures, and tabletop gaming titles and accessories, sold by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Location offers ample table space if you and your friends want to play, regular events, snacks and drinks, and hands down the cleanest restrooms I have ever seen in a game store.

I was a little apprehensive about visiting Little Shop of Magic for the first time based on some of the reviews on here. My daughter and I are completely new to tabletop games and I was hoping to find some good advice from friendly, helpful people who wouldn't make me feel like they were having to dumb everything down for us OR like we were wasting their time.

Additionally, my daughter is autistic. So, she can randomly ask unrelated questions in the middle of an explanation, not answer questions, seem to be completely uninterested, or grab random things off shelves and hand them to store workers etc. all things that can annoy people who don't understand.

We were helped right away by someone who listened to our needs and had both recommendations for us and actual explanations about why certain games were good for two people, replayability, and whether certain titles were cooperative vs competitive. He was also very kind to my daughter. I was really surprised later to find out that this was John. I didn't get a condescending or impatient vibe from him at all contrary to other opinions on here.

Next, John sent Brook over to offer any recommendations she might have in addition to his and we were again treated with really great customer service from a very knowledgeable person. Even Eric at the register was really upbeat and friendly and didn't seem annoyed when I asked him to see if they carried a game I remembered right before I was about to pay. We will definitely be choosing these guys over Amazon to build up our baby-sized board game collection from now on.

***TL;DR Version*** As a brand new tabletop gamer looking for gateway games for two, one being a child, I had a phenomenal level of customer service from John, Brook, and Eric at Little Shop of Magic. I can't recommend them enough. If you're an introverted boardgaming noob like me, give this place a shot. You won't regret it.

This was my first time visiting this shop, so maybe I caught them on an off day... It was the older gentleman(maybe the owner?) and his little dog that made the experience a little uncomfortable. I brought my two children in to look at games, because it's something my 9yo son with Autism really enjoys. We were greeted at the top of the stairs by the tipping, excited dog, which caused my son to retreat back down the stairs behind me. I have a knee injury, so I slowly made my way up to the shop. The older gentleman seemed offended that my son was frightened by the tiny yipper, but decided to let the dog run rampant anyways. He never helped us with anything, but the younger gentlemen working was very professional and informative. I calmed my son about the dog, saying that she must be well behaved and friendly, or they wouldn't let her run loose. The game selection was enormous, but priced pretty high. When we were ready to leave, my son suggested we use the elevator for my knee injury. The high pitched squealing of this elevator caused the dog to lose her ever-loving mind, and growl, bark, and bare teeth, right next to my terrified children. The owner attempted to soothe the dog, but didn't apologize to me or my kids. He really seemed like he could care less about his customers' satisfaction or safety, or getting any new customers. That's a fairly risky business plan, but I wish him the best of luck with that. We'll take our business somewhere nicer.

My friends and I came it to purchase Magic cards, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and patient with us during our visit. When we returned just after to get more cards for a friend who was a little disappointed with her selection they went above and beyond to make us happy with our purchase. We'll absolutely be going back, can't recommend highly enough.

Very cool FLGS. The staff was friendly and very helpful in looking for items I was trying to find. Even though we were only partially successful, the staff offered to order the rest of what I was searching out. I won't get to come often--unfortunately!--since I only visit Vegas a couple times a year, but this Little Shop of Magic will definitely be on the "must visit" list!

This store is awesome! They have board games that i have never seen before! Along with a huge selection of table top and TCG products. Great table space along with TCG singles for sale. This store is a "diamond in the rough" must go to place if you're a tabletop player

One of the top 10 game stores to visit in the US if not one of the top 5. Friendly staff, good selection and great looking terrain on their miniatures tables. If you're in Vegas and you enjoy tabletop games, you need to check this place out.

Brings new meaning to the "Friendly local game store"! The employees are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Better, their stock of games, accessories, and "cool gaming stuff" is the best I've seen in some time. Great place to shop or get ideas for the gamer in your family!

A great place to play any and all games, with excellent customer service. They cover all kinds of games; from collectible card games, board games to miniature games. Huge area with tons of terrain for boards, a gigantic stock of everything a gamer could desire.

Mostly for board games and miniature games and not so much for pen and paper rpg, which is understandable these days. Great selection of dice though. The variety is huge. Large area with tables for playing.

My husband and I stopped in and this place is wonderful! They have great COVID safety in place, and ask that everyone washes their hands upon entering. They have a point system as well where you can earn $1 off for every point you ve saved up (more if you saved up a ton of points). Which is great because I have a feeling we will be spending a lot of time and money here!

Clean shop with a good variety of games and supplies. Better to rely on a friend than on staff knowledge, but they seem to mostly capable. Good sized crowd assembled for Friday Night Magic.

A surprisingly interesting place if you are into board games, card games and Miniatures. They have multiple tables set up for gaming and they have games available for you to try out and play before you buy. It's on the second floor and there is an elevator available to the public.

I love this place! Probably the best selection of Vallejo paints compared to anywhere I've seen at great prices. They carried Vallejo model color, model inks, alcohol metallics, game color, game air color, mecha color, panzer series and vallejo spray paints...wow! Nice small selection of P3 as well... amazing! Lots of board games and miniatures to choose from, warhammer, deepcuts, dnd, bones, etc. Even had private hobby rooms with doors for individual gaming sessions.
Brianna was very helpful and friendly.
Great first visit, just wish the store was closer to me!

They rent board games, they rent out rooms to have a more private experience than their large tabletops for those, very knowledgeable staff, and I can go on and on about why I am there every other week if not every week (every day, Shh ;)

Love shopping here! The owner is very nice and he has a friendly helpful staff. The atmosphere and service are always fantastic. Even though I usually buy sometimes I like to come in and just look around and watch people playing the games they are into.

Great selection of games and a very friendly and knowledgeable staff! The shop is very kid friendly for the younger gamers. Plenty of opportunities to make new friends with all the open game playing. I love it here!

Best place to play collectible card games, especially Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic the Gathering, and best place for table top gaming in my opinion. They've got separate private rooms for game sessions or cards, and a big communal area. Great selection of board games, figurines, and cards from all kinds of lines. My especially enjoy the casual Monday night Magic the Gathering Commander league and Friday Night Magic.

Great game selection with just about every game you can think of; tabletop, d&d, miniatures (with paint supplies!), magic the gathering... they have it all. And it didn't strike me as crazy prices.
They also have a good number of tables, tabletop games for borrowing, and the organization of the store is easy to understand.
The one person we talked to was also very friendly and helpful.
The only reason it isn't 5 star is because we have yet to attend an event so I cannot say for sure that it is 5 star worthy.
WARNING: They had a cat there when we visited so if you're allergic here is your heads up.

I ended up spending about $116 here during my visit of Las Vegas. The staff were very friendly here, answered my several questions, place was clean and also proactive of Covid19. I haven't been to many places at all that have a D-100, or dice rolling boards. That was great! I wish their MTG selection was bigger, but I was still able to get a couple decks. Overall, I'm happy with my visit.

The employees are very friendly and it's a very open set up. Some things are priced higher than some other places in town and a lot of things don't have prices on them and you have to ask. But, very friendly and very clean.

Friendly, helpful staff. Every time I spoke to someone I was informed of upcoming events that might be relative to my interests. I do wish I knew how the game board wall was organized so my browsing experience would be more efficient. However, the staff were always available to help direct me if I had any questions.

My favorite place is Vegas for all my table top needs! I mostly purchase D&D miniatures but they have most anything you could want, from Warhammer to random obscure board games. I've never been disappointed. Prices and good and the staff is always helpful and knowledgeable.

Massive selection of games. RPG's, board games, card games and more. The staff is very knowledgeable about their products and helped me find just what I was looking for. The prices are not cheap, but are reasonable. They also have RPG groups if your looking to join a game in a fun environment.

My experience with Little Shop of Magic:

My experience with Little Shop of Magic:
- I walk in and I'm immediately greeted by the guy working behind the counter, followed up by "Can I help you find something."
- I tell him I'm going to browse and I'll ask him if I need any help.
- I quickly found the Star Wars X-Wing miniatures I was looking for.
- I go up and pay. The guy tells me of their free exp program so I sign up.
- I ask when the next tournament is and not only did the guy behind the counter help, but also a woman and a man, who I assume is this John guy everyone speaks of, told me when the next tournament is and what I need to bring to play in the tournament. (Bring in can goods)
- I pay, the guy behind the counter tells me to have a good day, and I go home happy.

I don't play Magic and admittedly I didn't see much for it except for the booster packs behind the counter. What I can say is is that Little Shop of Magic is one of the better stores I've been to. I'm originally from Southwest Missouri and the selection of game shops we had was terrible. I will be coming back to buy from these guys again.

And yes, you can find products that they sell on Amazon for much less, but I'd rather support my local game store. Remember, they're a small business, not a big corporation that can offer big discounts like a lot of places.

The staff are very knowledgeable about tabletop gaming supplies and fantasy worlds. The place has a huge selection of board games and tabletop gaming expansion sets, and they have tables open for anyone to come in, sit down, and have a game with friends. Would definitely visit again!

Customer service was horrible and incredibly disconnected from the customer base. Whoever it was that was in charge took a sharp and curt lead trying to rectify what he thought was a situation and handled it very unprofessional. We are out of state vintage mtg collectors and have been do this for a many of years and this store left a bad taste in my mouth....

I am giving this a 5 star rating because I am hoping to get a good Lord of the Rings TM board game online so please don't give me up but I sincerely think this might be one of the best places I can buy :)

This place is amazing. The owner took time to recommend several different board games to my wife and I. They have everything, and if they don't have something they can probably get it. Don't be afraid to approach any of the staff. They are all friendly and knowledgeable.

I've played Magic @ Little Shop of Magic since before it was renamed and moved from it's original location. Before it used to be the HUB store for everyone to play with a large variety of singles. The events were run fairly and communication between patrons and staff were clear and we would never mind driving out just to play here. But since John assumed ownership I as a Magic player have never felt welcome.

The variety of singles has dwindled down to almost nothing. I reach out to another nearby hobby/game shop Gameworld or the farther off Action Comics to pick up what I need single wise. I ordered a few boxes of Return to Ravnica, the most recent set @ Little Shop because it's on my way home from work. I only received a part of my order of which I had already paid in full. This was a major inconvenience for me. Also it seems that I'm not the only pre-order customer this has happened to.

Whenever there's a PTQ or any other sort of event I feel more like our group of players are an inconvenience for the staff and owner. I don't get to play @ the FNM events here because of my work schedule and the time they start their FNM event. (Nothing wrong with the time they start the event it's actually quite typical for all of the stores) Last night @ the State Championship hosted by Little Shop was the final straw. In the beginning it was understandable of how cramped the playing environment would be. Magic players are used to it. But throughout the day as people were dropping from the event there was much more table space for both magic players AND patrons who frequent the store normally to play everything else. Playing in a cramped space for 7 rounds @ 50 minutes each is NOT fun and we could have had the table numbers spaced out further to adjust. The tables the finalists were playing on were @ the front of the store. (In my opinion a very poor decision) It was the final 4 matches of the event and a group of us were watching. 2 players were watching from the end of the table. They were TOLD to move by the Management. When they asked why they needed to move they commented that they just wanted to watch matches and were then banned from the store for swearing. They went outside and a little bit later the police arrived to kick them off of the property completely.

Now I can understand if there was a valid reasoning for my fellow magic players having to move from the isle but a small explanation would have gone a LONG way but it was never explained. Had it been I'm the sure the gentlemen would have moved without issue. There was no respect or professionalism here.

Lastly, Please excuse my name and don't let it set it in your mind that I'm trying to troll a business. I want to remain anonymous and this is my only extra account. After all of this I can easily say I'm not the only one who will never shop or play here again. I would be truly greatfull to get the same treatment some of these other reviewers have.

This place is overwhelmingly awesome! Upon entry you know you're in the right place and once you get upstairs it is jaw-dropping to see the extensive collection of table top products and TCG products on display for you to go through see and touch, with plenty of space to move around. They have an abundance of tables that all have play mats on them. They have rooms for private game sessions. And they even have TCG singles that you can buy. This is one of the best stores I've ever seen, extremely orderly well kept with tons to offer. The staff is nice polite and welcoming they have knowledge of everything in store, with tons of information to pass on. I highly recommend supporting this LGS
