Although I stayed in the hotel during a business trip, not for holiday, I found it a very good, well organized, modern hotel. It is located inside a very big Park just in the corner of the Racecourse. I can recommend it.

The experience was so poor that we ended up leaving a few hours after checking in.

- The room had a really bad smell
- The air-conditioning unit was noisy and ineffective
- The carpet was very poorly laid (see picture)
- There was no toilet paper in the male bathroom of the spa
- There was no water in the room

Staff didn't bother to ask us why we were leaving so early, but tried to have us pay for the breakfasts of the following day.

The staff are very friendly and good at their jobs. They appear to go the extra mile to make one's stay smooth and delightful. My room is very large with an excellent view over the racecourse.

Great location on the race course, and only a short drive from London to be in the countryside. Rooms clean and bright. Spa and pool peaceful and a great reprieve. Staff friendly and helpful. This has been a favourite of friends of mine for years and after my first visit I will definitely return.

Probably the best hotel all the way up to Croydon (I haven't tested all hotels down to Gatwick but up to Croydon I was probably in most of the hotels).
I would day they have a good price for what you get. They have a very good restaurant, service is on a very high level, breakfast is very good although i missed some "normal continental" bread :)

Stayed at the Lingfirld Marriott as I was attending a wedding at Hever Castle. The staff were good and the room was tidy and we'll maintained.
The view from my room was great, it had a massive bay window overlooking the racecourse. This would have been great if I were on a race day.

The rate for the room was reasonable for the room and the service was good, although I didn't receive the wake up call I asked for for the next morning.

I had an inclusive breakfast with my room which was buffet style. The breakfast was good, they had a good range of food for everyone (but the scrambled eggs were quite watery) and they had a chef on hand cooking as well.

All-in-all it was a good stay and I will be more than happy to stay there again.

Mixed experience at Lingfield Marriott.... brilliantly located for the races and makes for a great place to crash after a great day out. Comfortable, spacious rooms, incredible view of racecourse if requested. Many staff delightful- but hit and miss here. Some staff so lovely and well trained, others badly trained and rude.
Attention to detail at this hotel is seriously lacking- a gin and tonic served without a slice of lemon awful tasting ketchup, coffee and tea - basics that should be tip top. Also sadly in 2019 lots of use of plastic cups and single use plastics- disgraceful.
We would come back but bring our own tea bags!

Clean, comfortable rooms; expensive, mediocre restaurant mitigated by a really good breakfast buffet spread. Lovely staff but not the most efficient - in an amusing, rather than an irritating, way

Visited the spa with a friend. Sadly there lockers werent very useful, two broken, almost all full with belongings but the robes, slippers and towels were fresh and clean. The pool, sauna and steam rooms were quiet so able to enjoy in our own company. The rest room is wonderful. Two beds to relax on and low lighting to enhance tranquility. We then booked for afternoon tea which was delicious. Scones were huge! And couldn't finish the cakes as there was a lot of sandwich and cake choice.

The availability of comfortable seating is poor here, ques for food & drink are also prohibitively long and scarce, as is the que for the single ATM, the intervals between the races versus duration of the races puts you at odds with having enough time or patience to do anything... A load of standing , with the sun blinding directly at everyone as the planners had the amazing sense to place the track south of the stands (in between the stands and the sun)... Just a badly thought out venue that probably churns out way more money than joy it renders to paying guests... Oh well... Shame...

The resteraumt staff at the hotel are absolutely outstanding. We have an Autistic son who needs to eat food brought from home and without hesitation the staff were helpful in warming his food for us.
The pool for swimming is a bonus as our kids loved it.

Great

Visit was to participate in a Jaguar driving experience for my teenage son. Venue was easy to find and well appointed. The day was organised faultlessly and, needless to say, the driving experience received full marks from the trainee driver. Staff and instructors were helpful and enthusiastic. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Located specifically to provide accommodation for corporate events, golf weekends and horse racing events. Usual Marriott standards but not the best position for local walks and adventures without a car.

We stayed at the hotel for a company away day event and it really exceeded my expectations. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the hotel is extremely well located on the race track. The spa is great too. Our twin rooms have double beds in them which was a nice surprise. The food in the restaurant was incredible. I can recommend the gnocchi

I stayed here for one night last year with my family and the hotel staff could not do enough for us. Our stay was amazing! So much so that we decided to return for a 3 night family break this year and anticipated the same level of service. Oh, how wrong we were! The first person we encountered was a 'Front Desk Associate' named ______, who was hostile, abrupt and as unhelpful as any person I have ever met. It was upsetting as I had spent quite a lot of money on this hotel booking and wanted so much for it to be a pleasant family break. The front desk associate was condescending and treated me like I was the last thing she needed that day. The stay itself was lovely thankfully; a great room, amazing staff in the hallways and spa area and in the restaurant. I even managed to forget the initial contact with that specific reception member and we did not encounter her for the duration of our stay. However, on the last day when booking out I was horrified to see ______ was back at the reception desk. True to her character she was as sour and hostile on this occasion as she was when we arrived. Everything was too much, any simple polite enquiry was met with a venomous glare and she could not explain anything clearly and assumed I should know everything about the charging policy of the hotel. She truly had the worst communication skills of anyone I have ever met and she could not be more arrogant and condescending if she tried. She left a horrible taste in all our mouths and single handedly managed to almost ruin what we had so much hoped was going to be a pleasant short family break. What on Earth is this member of staff doing representing this company by being on the front desk?

Very nice hotel.

Very nice hotel.
The location is super quiet if you love horses and like to see the horse racing.
Very friendly staff.

Great rooms, great food, competent and friendly staff. Watched horses racing from my room balcony this morning. Golf course is there if you have the time, and I enjoyed it. Only drawback is lack of an executive lounge for elite members. Prices are a bargain though.

Extremely disappointed with the service we received. My husband booked for us to stay - a special occasion for us since having our fist child this was going to be our first trip away. Our child came down with hand, foot and mouth and under More

Let down by a couple of details (poor tv setup in room, slow wifi) and the mould in the milk carton was upsetting... But the beds are very comfy, the rooms spacious and staff polite. Room service took a long time to arrive and if you're a light sleeper, you won't appreciate the gatwick flight path being overhead. I'll be visiting again though despite all this as probably the best in the area...

Amazing

I was invited to my partners company Christmas event for the Winter nights festive event. I absolutely loved my experience here because not only were the staff exceptionally polite but the location and quality added to the stay. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the bar staff were very pleasant. Over all I lived the room and the quality they provide as well as the view of the racecourse that came with it. I would recommend anyone who needs an overnight stay to consider Lingfield. It try was a splendid evening.
