I heard the address of Antoinette and the Rwanda Clothing Store from a friend. I got a dirndl sewn out of Rwanda fabric. On that occasion I bought 2 more dresses which were already ready in the shop. A little change and I was happy with 3 new dresses. Appointment really exact and the quality was excellent.

Have just bought a beautiful skirt with African print design. Met the designer who was around and took excellent care of me. They take credit cards and can make whatever piece you want to your size in just a couple days. So visit here first if you only plan to stay for that long.

When you buy some clothes the staff very carefully looks at how it fits you and they make adjustments accordingly. The tailor is a charming creative young woman who puts great attention to detail, and selected highly professional staff to assist customers and make them feel well-taken care of. The shop also offers other original products such as home decorations and furniture. Thank you for taking such great care of me. I ll definitely come back on my next visit to Kigali!

This is an incredible find for clothes off the rack which they tailor (takes 1-2 days) or you can have them custom made. Ranges from ones with a subtle flair (piping with Rwanda fabric) or more bright colors. very friendly and I have both clothes in the past which are incredibly durable.. Will cost more than if you go to a market, but worth it for a splurge
