Lack lustre service - went on a quiet night and still waited ages to be seated.

Restaurant was dirty, still someone else s food all over the chair, table was sticky and floor was dirty.

Food was average, quite greasy and uninventive.

Certainly won t be returning.

Have been eating at Ling and Louie's for years. Here are the Pros and Cons in my opinion formed after the past few years:

Pro = Food: they have an amazing selection of Asian-American fusion food. The burgers are great, and the crab puff are TO DIE FOR. However my favorite menu item by far is the Pad Tai

Pro = Con - Staff: Mostly friendly but in my experience, a lot of the servers arn't great at high pressure situations like the rush times.

Pro = Location: Great location only two lights from the 101 freeway so it super easy to get to, and leave from.

Con = Pricing: They have been consistently raising their prices over the past year, and now in my opinion the prices are just ridiculous. Also because at the same time the prices have been going up, the amount of food you get has gone down a LOT. I went there last month and ordered the diner portion of the Pad Thai like I have been for years. It was now $2 more than the last I was in only few week earlier. When the food came out, the portion was now SMALLER than their LUNCH portions. I asked the waiter if this was the dinner hour portion and he said "yes. And yeah, I know its smaller".

Best Happy Hour in the area! Delicious plates for $3, $6, or $9 are anything but small - I had to take home half my order of calamari, which was DELICIOUS! Also includes half-price select cocktails and beers. Awesome!

Pretty solid food and service but their house made copper ale was nothing special. I like the fusion style of their menu but didn't find their pad Thai to be particularly innovative. I will return.

I had no idea what to expect from this place, I travel quite a bit and was pretty hungry when I got in. I decided to give it a shot, from the very start I was greeted very well, the hostess sat me quick... although the menu is quite extensive I decided on the chicken lettuce wraps. I enjoyed them very much, I also had some pad Thai.. Dare I say my taste buds sang?! I enjoyed my whole experience there, my server Courtney was very personable, great attitude and a lovely smile!

This is our family goto spot. Food is terrific, the staff is happy, and with the new outside seating I would rate it even higher than before. This is the first place my mother, and sister want to stop when they get to Scottsdale.

Only giving 3 stars because we waited 45 minutes for our food and the waitress took 15 minutes to refill our drinks. They seemed under staffed. It shouldn't take 1.5 hours to order and get your lunch.

The Mongolian beef with Jasmine rice was good and so was General Ling's Chicken with Fried rice. The Banana Caramel Spring Roll was very good. The Frozen Thai Mai was very good and refreshing.

Nice place with good asian fusion style food. The price is reasonable. The surf & turf is a great choice if you want meat and shrimp. BTW, they make the meat really tender. The service was great as well.

Went there to dinner on August 31, 2016 around 3:30, the door was locked, no signs on the door about it being closed. Went to Stone and Vine next door, they told us Black and Bleu "suddenly" closed yesterday.

I booked Black & Bleu's for an off-site dinner for a group that was traveling and meeting together in Phoenix. Owner, Lexie was very accommodating to our needs and budges. She went above and beyond to create a custom menu for our group, add items at the last minute, and made sure the private room was set up to best suit our needs. Guests from the dinner enjoyed their experience at Black & Bleu and we would not hesitate to use them again.

AWFUL service. Just got home, food was amazing, thats why it gets 3 stars. Waited 15 mins to be greeted, our food came 5 seconds after our drinks, server messed up the order, then he never checked back on us. Had to ask for the bill after waiting an additional 10.mins.after being done. Im in the industry, i understand people get busy, but there were multiple empty tables throughout the restaurant and there was definitely no wait.
The manager looked disheveled, untucked shirt, and zero concern for the status of the dining room.

Now the good. The food came out about 12 mins after we ordered, GREAT flavor on everything, it was all hot and steaming. I had an old fashioned the bartender poured perfectly.
All in all it would have been a great experience if we had even mediocre service.

After leaving this place to catch our flight we were hoping to find one near Chicago! No luck..

Try their beef lucky lo mein. It was delicious and big enough to split for two.

Excellent food people are great. I. Forgot my mask so they provided me with one. I had the Buddha feast scallops. Wonderful. Only thing if you follow Google maps it has you parking near the backdoor, turn right when you see the building and park in front.

I used to live in this neighborhood, years back. At the time, there was a crappy place called Regions and next to it, was a newly opened place called Renegade with a cool menu, but disappointing food and prices.

We pulled into the parking lot, hungry, thinking we'd just settle for Ling and Louie's Chinese. Anyway, we saw the sign for Black & Bleu and thought we'd give it a shot. Now, I'm not going to lie, food tastes good when you're hungry, but damn ... the app crab-cakes were off the hook (no pun intended) and we had these tenderloin bites that were so tender, I almost doubled down on both. Nevertheless, I was patient, and destroyed my baby rack ribs ... fall of the bone tender and flavorful. My wife, who's not a big eater, actually did some damage post-crab cake, and took down her grilled salmon and asparagus with some spirited aggression.

And let me just say, if something isn't right, she won't eat it. Kudos to the kitchen for preparing everything to perfection, and to management/ownership on the smart decor. Great spot.

The biggest takeaway was this ... I can't even think of another neighborhood grill of this quality that even comes close to this price point. I mean, it wasn't free, but it was fantastic and I didn't leave feeling like I got "Mastrosed" or "Flemming'd." In other words, I paid "Keg" prices for Don and Charlie's-grade fare.

Maybe think of it as a privately-owned Houston's/Bandera's ... seriously good, affordable, and yeah, we're going back.

Oh, the service. On point, friendly, unobtrusive ... and our waiter certainly was helpful by making some stellar suggestion. If you're just in the mood for a snack ... sit down at their gorgeous bar, grab a cocktail and don't hesitate on the crab cakes or tenderloin bites.

Enjoy.

It's a great combination of comfort food with exotic, Pacific rim inspired fare. I haven't had anything bad there (although the meatloaf is my favorite), and I've always got to start with the Long Life Chicken and Rice soup.

I paid $23 for the orange chicken and received something about the size of a happy meal. Six pieces of chicken and what looks to be less than a serving of rice ( it doesn't even cover the bottom of the container ) that I paid an extra $2.50 for the "Uncle Foo's Fried Rice." You'd think for an extra $2.50 you'd at least get more than that. I don't get to eat out often so this was going to be a nice special treat for me and I opted for a nicer place than something like taco bell. I wish I would have gotten the taco bell. I would have had a lot more food for a LOT less money. I am severely disappointed, as the food was quite good, but I definitely will not be eating here again, or at least not ordering, because this was very sloppy.

close proximity to work, gives me a work discount for eating there. you've gotta try the sirloin sliders. place is always clean, seating prompt and food always great. they also obviously have a pretty nice size bar with more than average drink combinations in case your feeling like something more than a beer with your meal.
