Pad Thai just the way I like it. Food is always fresh, service is good. On occasion the kitchen backs up and it takes a while.
We always have a great experience here! The servers (thanks again Sherry!) are attentive, and always remember your face, even if it's been weeks since they've seen you.
The food is awesome...always prepared consistently, tasty and appealing. The create your own Surf n Turf on a sizzling platter is a favorite as is the Sushi.
Great Happy hour specials, a full bar and many specialty drinks.
The most recent addition is the fully reconfigured outdoor dining space with the indoor/outdoor bar, TVs and patio covering.
Visit soon, you'll be pleased I'm confident.
We come here often and it's always the same it's perfect
Excellent Mongolian Beef on the sweet side my fave. The meatloaf and mash potatoes banging. The east meats west burger spicy and tasty. Th crab wanton and dumplin sweet and spicy superb starters. You need to stop in and eat because you are missing out.
Unique take on classic American and Asian dishes. Very yummy
Service sucks. Food cold. Waiter can not multi task to save his life. Just no.
The food was so fresh and crisp and tastey!! Service was Swift and pleasant.
Would definitely go again.
Can't believe it took so long to find this treasure. What a wonderful time. Chicken w peanut sauce, mussels, and a flat bread pizza with filet. Alecia, our server was wonderful. WE WILL BE REGULARS.
Went on a Friday night @6:15pm was originally told it would be a 30 min wait for 4 but was seated immediately. Customer service was very poor, it took a long time to get everything we ordered and refills. Food is not like it used to be. For an appetizer we ordered calamari and crab wontons which were ok. Then we ordered the chicken lo mein and chicken fried rice and both were very bland with no flavor and had "weird" pieces of chicken. Also ordered the the Mongolian beef which was half decent but not like it used to taste with the depth of flavors. On another note the refresher happy hour cocktail tasted like soap.
Really excellent and creative cuisine. I highly recommend their crunchy crab roll.
Decent place. Food was good, service was good and the cost was reasonable. Nothing that left me dying to return but an overall pleasurable experience.
aye the food was poppin yer. B3st chinese food ever
Three strikes and you are out. Have been here 3 times in as many years, both lunch and dinner, and every time I remember why I don't go here. They are way over priced for what you get. The food is okay but nothing great given the high prices and small portions.
The food was amazing! The asain nachos were fantastic. Our server was super nice and attentive to our needs and took very good care of us. I definitely can't wait to go back!
My friends and I went for dinner and it was great. The food was a good size, the waitress was very polite. The restaurant was clean.
This place has excellent food, the service is 'just' good. Really, the service is feast or famine, consistently.
Pretty good asian fusion food. Indoor/outdoor seating. Kid friendly with a very good under 12 menu.
First time visiting, we were looking for a good place for Happy Hour. We found it, good drinks, good food and good service. We were treated like family. Can't wait to go back.
Love the Mongolian Beef! Everything was delicious! Staff is friendly and attentive.
Their brand of "Asian/Comfort" food is interesting. You dont often see fried chicken on a menu next to a Thai dish. Overall the food and service were pretty good. Prices were within normal expectations for the Scottsdale area
Love this place! I was nervous my first time going out after restaurants have opened again. Ling & Louie has thought of everything!!! Thank you so much! I could eat and not worry the entire meal... Great Job!!
Very good food, fresh. The interior is beautiful and modern. The service is very good. If you want to have a nice and fun night out with good food look no further. Great place.
They had friendly service and the food has a mix of Mexican and Asian combined hence the name Ling & Louie's. Totally different from what you would expect but very delicious! I don't know if everything on their menu is spicy but the taco special that I had was unexpectedly spicy but good because I love spicy anyway. I'm definitely going to eat there again and I would recommend it to anybody, well anybody that can stand a little kick to their food!
the staff was friendly and the Lemon chicken sandwich was great and not expensive there was no cover charge and the live band on Saturdays Aaron nelson project was great. I would recommend this to anyone 30 and older to go check this place out.
Bad Saturday night experience. The restaurant was not crowded but we had a 20 minute wait. Service was poor. Our server never checked on us after our food arrived. I am a frequent customer and I am typically quite pleased. Not this time. No sushi and staff changes are extremely apparent to the guests.
After all the good reviews, I am sorry to say we were somewhat disappointed. Perhaps it is because we went to the Ling and Louie's at Wild Horse Pass Casino, as that is the one close to us.
Our chicken lettuce wrap meat was dry, and not very tasty and our server failed to bring the sauce that apparently should have accompanied it. (the iceberg lettuce was crisp and fresh) PF Changs gluten free chicken lettuce wraps are far superior.
For dinner I had the 'Evil Jungle Princess' dish for which L&L is supposedly famous. It was supposed to be a spicy dish, the sauce was tasty but pretty mild. It was supposed to be wok'd with fresh vegetables... it was 90% not so fresh green beans (overcooked) with a bit of onion and bean sprouts. The meat was a little dry. My husband ordered the Black Orchid Ahi, which was nicely prepared and it's sauce was good (and spicier than the jungle princess, though according to the menu it was supposed to be 'kinda' spicy). So one decent dish of the 3 things ordered. My ginger margarita was good.
Great food, service used to be great too but they have changed up staff. It will be great again hopefully. Need to add some taps at the bar for local beers like Kilt Lifter. Liquor choices have improved over the years.
Especially love the all day weekend happy hour and $5 Tito's cocktails.
Nice atmosphere, good food. Decent drink selection. Good portions - not too heavy. Not too much of fusion though.
Took mom for mothers day. She enjoyed it. I'm not so much an Asian food person.
It was ridiculous. We had a party of 6, sitting out on the patio. Our waiter was slow and incompetent and we were his only customers. The restaurant was for the most part empty and after our experience I completely understand why. The food took forever to come out but did find its way to the table before our way less than average drinks got there. The bar tender didn't know how to make a margarita or a dirty martini. When telling the waiter how ridiculous the whole thing was, he lied to us and said he was "slammed with new tables. Nice try Sparky! The walls are glass...we could see an empty dining room. Then he doubled down and said, we're not in the industry, we wouldn't understand. Our table collectively had over 50 years of food service experience. I would not recommend or go back.
Had take-away. Not ideal setup, bartender handles take out. Staff was OK, not particularly friendly. But, the food was very good. Potstickers were excellent, as were the crab wontons (crab rangoon). Firecracker Chicken is spicy and delicious, Cashew Chicken also excellent. Walnut Shrimp, we think they used cream and not Kewpie Mayo, but still good. I got "Soba Noodles" with the Firecracker Chicken, could not taste the buckwheat, must have been ramen or udon. We do recommend you give L&L a try, with reservations. . .
The past few times I've been here they've run out of French fries every single time.
We ordered a honey walnut entree. The entree had shrimp which was absolutely delicious. The soup was superb.
I love this place... I wish there were no corona.. want to hang out there again peacefully. Delicious dishes, sushi, pad Thai, Kong Pao ..
I've gone here plenty of times and consistently receive great service and great food. Atmosphere is always clean and inviting. I love their banana dessert!
This is a very nice but casual restaurant. They have their own interesting take on Asian. The food is good. The staff is friendly. If it were closer to home, it would be habit forming.
The fish and prime rib were excellent, properly presented and reasonably priced. Couple this with a great place to dance for 40/50somethings featuring 70s and 80s music performed by quality musicians such as Harry Mathews and Jimmy Snowden and you have the perfect nightclub. Without doubt, 5 stars.
Love this place, great location and excellent service.
We were a party of about 10 on a Friday night and were there between 5 to 7. The restaurant was not busy. We had 2 servers for our group. Our party members arrived at a couple of different intervals. It took forever to get one server to take our drink order. I had to remind them that my husband never got his iced tea. It then took too much effort to get a server's attention again to give her our food order, she never bothered to ask. We ordered 2 apps and a fried rice. That also took way longer than necessary. We requested the food to be served together but only got the two apps, one of which was wrong, so we had to send it back. We then got the correct app, still no rice. I had to flag someone down to ask about it... The rice finally came and was bland as bland can be. I was also finished with my first drink and had to flag someone else for another one. The servers never seemed to come by to see how anyone was doing, to collect empty glassware or to see if our orders were at requested. We got some lame excuse about a computer issue. Regardless of that it's the server's job to make sure the customer receives the food and drinks at ordered and I'm a timely manner. Awful service, I will not go back. P. S. I was a waitress for many years so I'm not oblivious or unaware of how things operate.
Always friendly service with some unique food items. One of our favorite local eateries. Food wait time varies sometimes but is usually pretty quick. The "jungle princess" is one of our favorite items
Sat at the bar and was treated well. Enjoyed happy hour. Will visit again when in the area.
Food was delicious as expected! Service was not as superior as in the past. We'll try another time.
Great Service, Food comes to the table fast. Excellent food!
Delicious Asian fusion cuisine. Great service. Creative food options. Comfortable decor.
Service was very slow and orange chicken wasn't very good
YUMMY!! I had the Buddha s feast with no meat and it was delicious and seemingly healthy! Will go back soon!
Disappointing. Walked in at 3:45 and thought it just not busy due to the hour, but now we know better. No hostess just a bartender announcing, "I'll be with you in a few minutes", then it took 10min for anyone to even come to our table, no silverware with appetizers (had to wait & ask), food mediocre, I could've gone to the frozen food section at the grocery store. Used to enjoy this place years ago.
How sad. They say they have a dog friendly patio, if you keep your dog on the floor and not order anything off the menu for your pup per Tanner the new manager. I have 5lb tea cup poodle who is cleaner than some people. Will find another true dog friendly patio like the VU in Fountain Hills!
Great place for happy hour. The appetizers are really good and they have good drink specials.
The food was delicious their appetizers were amazing and the wait staff Christie was fantastic. and their presentation was beautiful. I will definitely be going back.
Here's the thing, I have a love hate relationship with this place. It genuinely seems that they frown upon any customization of your order (aside from heat level which they do increase upon request) and they almost seem to ignore customizations outright. Now, this is not just a one time thing. Myself and co-workers work directly across the parking lot so we are here frequently and to be honest the food is pretty good and flavorful but the experience can vary wildly from one day to the next. We've ordered the chicken tacos on multiple occasions without specific ingredients and request to pay extra for more meat to compensate my co-workers childish palate and at least 4 separate occasions the tacos came with everything the menu stated with no regard to the request to remove specific items. Oh and the request for more chicken? (that we will happily pay for) each and every time ignored outright. Alot of times its little things like upgrading to uncle fu's fried rice, (which is offered on the menu) has been met with the upgrade charge but the dish comes with white rice. It's for these reasons our visits have switched from 2-3x a week to maybe once every few months. When it hits it hits but when it misses boy-o does it miss.
Screw them.... Sat at the bar 10 minutes while they ignored me and did their "setup". The worst part is that I was invited to come check this place out by a guy who bar tends here when I met him elsewhere.....The SAME GUY now with his back to me. Get to work early so you're ready to take care of your guests... Who have MANY food options in Scottsdale. Now walking over to Stone & Vine
Food was great. Initially was given the wrong order.
We have tried this place 3 times, with not great results, but hoped in time it would improve. Sadly, we will no longer be giving them our business. Management was EXTREMELY rude and condescending when we presented a valid coupon they decided not to honor. He suggested we shouldn't bother coming back if we were unable to understand why, so.....
Most disappointing experience. My husband and I ordered take out for my mother in laws birthday and when we got home we discovered they forgot the sauce. Our meals were completely sauceless. I called the restaurant and the manager was completely dismissive of my complaint. In the past we have loved coming to Ling and Louie s. The manager said he would be mailing us a gift card to help with our frustration...no surprise we never got one. He also blamed us for the fact their was no sauce stating it looked that way because our meal had been sitting for an hour, which was not true. My husband picked it up within twenty minutes of us calling in the order. Terrible experience. I advise you not to order take out.
Food gets 3 stars - service gets 1. Stopped in around 8:15 on Saturday night. First service was thinning out and we were seated immediately. Server greeted us after 15 minutes for our drink order. It wasn't a good a start and we considered leaving. We ordered the lettuce wraps for an appetizer with our drinks - given we had ample time to read the menu. Three waters and a coke arrived quickly. The lettuce wraps were out in 5 minutes, but for an unexplained reason, it took almost 10 for my San Pelligrino to arrive. The lettuce wraps were fair at best. The five small pieces of dehydrated romaine contributed to a disappointing first course. The three main dishes arrived 40 minutes after we ordered them. Two Dishes were cold. The third was fresh and hot. We were starving so we did not complain when Marcus finally checked on us half way through the dishes. We put the chop sticks down at 9:20 full and relatively satisfied. We waited 15 minutes for our check. We were getting impatient and scanned the restaurant for our server Marcus. I decided to stand up to make it clear we were ready to go. Marcus emerged and asked if we needed anything. I said, "the check please, we need to get going. An hour and fifteen minutes is too long for dinner without drinks (cocktails)." This is when our experience went from fair to bad. Instead of apologizing, Marcus replied in a frustrated tone, "I checked on you four times." My guest quipped back, "no you didn't." Marcus walked away mumbling under is breath. Then we heard him complaining to fellow employees loud enough for us and other guests to hear, "what do they expect on a Saturday night. An hour and fifteen minutes not fast enough..." When he repeated his rant, I approached him and said, "you're gonna take the feedback personally and call me out in the middle of the restaurant? Not professional." I could have let it go, but have never experienced this kind rude behavior before. I walked away, paid the bill and left.
Yummy, wished we had one in Flagstaff, Arizona hint hint!!
The food was good. Nothing to write home about but enjoyable.
Great food. Service is sometimes spotty, but mostly good
The Cheeseburgers are delicious and truly outstanding! This is a great Lunch spot or place to go for a nice Happy Hour.
