My Peta side was calling out to me all the animals were depressed and looked undersea due to the lack of living space were put under. Imagine stuffing a human in a ups box and forcing them to live there for the rest of their lives with the occasional potato chips to eat.

I mean, I understand the lack of funds due to the fact that it is free but this is just animal cruelty

Loved the zoo. They have a lot of animal exhibits and its completely free. Great place to take the kids without spending much. Even parking can be free in the street but if you can't find any they do have some parking placed where you can park for a fee without time limit.

Actually we have only been to 'the night light show' in the Lincoln Park Zoo. It's free to the public so you just have to have a proper attire depending to the weather since it's an outdoor show and minimum 60 min to walk through the Zoo.
Most of the lights are shaped like animals. And there musical light show. It was beautiful. An evening stroll in the park in this winter holiday season is a must.

Too cool of an experience. Even with all the graffiti it gave it the IL touch. Alon of profanity in some they should remove and some trash. Wish people would take care of the few things we have before they are taken away. I appreciate that this place is open to the public to explore. It was a great experience.Awesome place.

The good part is that it is free, but it is not very big either...we took the small train tickets and we thought it will take us at least in the entire zoo...but it was just for 2 mins circulars right there...

My favorite place to go is Chicago Lincoln Park Zoo.
First of all it s free! A lot of things to see! A lion, yes they have it! Also funny monkeys, great apps, flamingos, reptiles, and much more!

A wonderful free attraction in Chicago. Filled with so many beautiful animals and very clean. The staff is very helpful and there is typical zoo/theme park food availt as well. One of my favorite events at the zoo is zoo lights in the winter time where they light up the entire zoo and lots of holiday spirit

Well we are understanding that with Covid the indoor exhibits will be closed. What we didn't realize was there weren't going to be any animals at all. I have posted 16 pictures with is 1 of every single animal they had available to see. Including the ducks and seagulls.
The big cats were not there because they are still under construction. ALL of the bears were gone.
It wasn't what we expected. Even for a free zoo. We paid quite a bit for parking
They could have said online that 3/4 of the animals were being kept inside with no way to see them.
Had we known we would have went to Brookfield.
We like Lincoln Park because it's the last free one and I love being able to donate which I do when I buy the tickets.
I just wish they would have warned us.
My daughters were ready to leave after 15 minutes of empty animal houses. Thankfully we chose a day that wasn't humid or we would have left without out seeing everything.
Luckily they had the flamingos which was what my girls wanted most after the rest was empty. That's why we saved it for last or they would have wanted to leave after seeing them.

I don t know where to start. So, I will empty myself and feelings about this place. Lincoln Park Zoo has it ALL! Items below are just to name a few:

1) Experienced and absolutely awesome/friendly personnel!

2) A mix of big lessons from ANIMALS!

Give this place a visit!

It s a MUST!

Came here to see the Christmas displays and it was so crowded i couldnt even enjoy what little was here. Sat in traffic for 2 hours to get in and the displays were just ok. Thank god it was free because i would have been aggravated if i had to pay.

Zebras , camels , polar bears, oh my! Admission is free and snack kiosks are plentiful.
The polar bear swimming was most memorable. The giraffes peered at us through windows like WE were the caged animals.
It's tough walking around on a hot day though! Some animals weren't available to be seen when we visited. Many drinking fountains were not in use either, unfortunately!
