It's still a nice zoo for it to be free to the pub...

Very beautiful Christmas lights at evening to walk and enjoy with family.
Fun! Perfect for kids and families. One of these times the rhinoceros will be out.
Zoo lights sponsored by ComEd is the best! This is an annual event for my husband and I.
Cool free of charge zoo with animals to look at. I was not able to spend a lot of time here but my 10 year old nephew loved being able to walk in off the street and look around. It eased not busy at all and we had plenty of room to view. A few concessions are around in stands and some bending machines. It looked like they may do some sort of shows at times.
What a wonderful way to spend an evening. A great use of the Zoo property. The staff was polite and accommodating to the public viewing the lights. Support the Lincoln Park Zoo!
Free!!!! Until u park lol then it's 30$ minimum lol good ol Chicago SMH
This free zoo is a beautiful gift from the Chicago area. My husband and I were blown away with the beauty of the zoo, and how many amazing animal exhibits there are. We will be back, and have already recommended this to family and friends!
Alot of construction but that means improvements! The open exhibits were well maintained and informative
Beautiful place to take children through out the year.
Christmas zoo lights are amazing to watch
Best place ever to go with your kids and have fun I recommend seeing the Lions they are the best do you to Covid you may not be able to go
I couldn't tell you too much about Lincoln Park Zoo cuz I just dropped groups there I don't go inside because I'm a bus driver so anyways go try it out yourself it's free you can get on the bus so have fun over
Oldest FREE zoo in the country! Started with two swans from New York's Central Park, now it's a mandatory stop for tourists and enthusiasts. Come not just for the animals, but for the eye catching architecture and amazing views of the Chicago skyline. A great photo op.
I actually prefer this zoo over some paid ones in the area. I love visiting Chicago, so the views of the skyline and buildings are great from this zoo. We recently went to the zoo lights this year and it was so much fun. It does get super crowded, but I expected that since it is free. I see a lot of action with the lions when I come. There is so much to do that you really can't get it done in one trip (at least with little kids).
This zoo is fantastic. I can't believe it's free. I like it a lot more than larger expensive zoos I've been. Great facilities, lots to see. Zoo lights in the wintertime is magical.
They ruined everything, they took away a lot of the attraction that brought people there. I was very disappointed and I had apologised to my nieces and nephews because it was very embarrassing the children saw nothing that I had bragged about, and I told them that the next time I bring them to the City I will take them to Brookfield Zoo.
I love the zoo lights they made happy to go and see them
Very nice for kids. Parking is around 20-30 dollars
This place is awesome and free. What more could I ask for? Free zoo animals to look at all summer, sounds like boredom should not exist in the city of Chicago.
What an awesome place to spend time for free! The conservatory and park area are beautiful plus the animals and the events are a joy to watch.
Not many animals, lots of smells. Flowers were plentiful, lots of butterflies and dragonflies.
Few animals to see. Its,mid June and mostly nothing to see. It's only good if you want to walk.
Specially great zoo. They need to get elephants back at the zoo. Also need bigger buildings for more space for the animals, like the ape house. Love the fact that it's still free to get in and hope it stays that way forever.
Cool but wonderful day to visit the zoo ... there's indoor seating for you to eat if it's too cold/hot for you outside.
Love this place cause it's free and you can enjoy yourself and your family.
So clean, a peaceful place to learn about animals .
A great place for child friendly family outings but also for adults without children. There is a wide variety of animals as well as a beautiful Conservatory and gardens. Special events such as Zoo Lights are wonderfully done. Offers free admission but parking is generally pricey. Near North Avenue Beach and the Chicago History Museum.
A nice size for a zoo, free to the public and well done exhibits
My favorite zoo in the world, in my favorite city in the world !!
I used to like Lincoln better than Bookfield....now it's just a nice walk minus the animals; many were not in exhibition. But then again, shouldn't the animals be free to roam their own natural habitats? Mixed emotions.
This park still amazes with all the beautiful nature around it
Loved this free activity. They even had lights synchronize to music. Fun place to grab a drink, spend an hour or two, or go on a date. Good view of the downtown city buildings.
Truly enjoyed my time here, even moreso it was free to walk around. Thank you.
What s not to love about a free zoo. Went to zoo in AM and Wrigley for Cubs game great day!
It was fantastic to see Lincoln Park Zoo all lit up for the holidays
Omg, I felt very sad for all the animals I saw in this zoo. And the grounds looked like something from the post apocalyptic future. :( They need to start charging so this can be a happy desirable destination.
Zoo lights were great time to spend with my family during the holidays. The zoo does a great job!
Lions. Gorillas. My babies. Besides that, it is very clean, safe, fun and I had a wonderful time even in JUST the hour I stayed. I want to go back sometime very soon! Oh and it s F-R-E-E (parking is a little expensive so take the L train).
HUGE ZOO! Lots of people, but was still able to see lots of stuff. Parking prices were a bit high, but still doable.
New lights this year! Great to see growth where there hasn't been in the last couple of years.
My family and I decided to go to this zoo because there is no entrance fee! You do have to pay for parking but it is worth it. The zoo is delightful and full of animals. All the exhibits are nicely made and it is great for people who have a hard time walking. The staff were very friendly when I spoke to them. The cat house was my favorite. It is a great place to visit in Chicago.
Cant beat the location and overall charm of this free zoo.
Great time and saw some awesome animals. Hoever, the darn elephants were not avaliable to be seen! Best part about it thought was the fact that it was free and a good time with my family
You can t beat the lights at the zoo, even saw an AIWA exos-9 on a pedacycle
Free, yes free, Great place, may get a bit crowded but again the price is right.
I love going to this zoo on a warm spring or summer day. Some of the animals here could be real dinosaurs. I especially like the lion that goes on top of the rocks. He sings really well.
Its is great everything they did it's beautiful, thank you
A good way to keep the kids busy on a warm afternoon
Small little zoo, we didn t get to see that many animals, but we did catch the Christmas lights and it was beautiful, there is also a beautiful view of the city just outside one of the gates
Free admission. I remember I touched a soft little bunny.
Went for brewlights during the holidays and it was awesome
Not the same as I remembered 20 yrs ago, not many animals out to see, & all the street sidewalk signs directing u to which animals are GONE.
Local, always improving exhibits, easily accessible by public transportation, and free!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS ZOO! I'm very THANKFUL there is still a free zoo for families to visit in the city. Its very informative and has plenty of animals to visit. They seem to be happy and well taken care of which is nice for the little ones.
Beautiful flowers the cage settings for animals were a nice size .very micr park and zoo.and free.
This is a Chicago staple! Must visit and take the children. Parking is not free on the lagoon side, but it is in the neighborhood where you are free to walk. There are no entry fees! Food pricing is what you'd expect in any zoo. Bring in a cooler on a wagon or rent one onsite. I grew up a few blocks away and know this place inside out. You won't be disappointed as everything is close by, to save your energy on the children! It's not the largest zoo, but it's free and in the heart of the city. Try to avoid weekends when everyone seems to go and lines are longer.
Nice zoo has Lions and Rhino' etc would be very nice on a warm day also to enjoy Lincoln park and the surrounding areas.
The zoo lights are super cool. A great time for the family.
This is a fantastic piece of escapism in the big city!
one of my favorite places to go in the city. the park is great theirs always great animals to see. many places to walk and explore outside of the zoo.
It s free, so you can t complain much and no one can control when animals will want to be out or not.
Please please get seating in the sea lions exhibit - where you go and watch them swim under water. I could've hung out there all day. Nice cool space and so peaceful. So many were saying this!
It's free, yo. Why you even need a review?
Probably one of the best zoos I've been to, as well. Be sure to check out the indoor exhibits.
Who doesn't like FREE99? You can spend a little and still get a lot. Loved it!
I went to see the light show. If you've never been it's definitely a must do. Good time for the family or a romantic seen for couples.
Big cat habitat is under construction and all of the indoor habitats are closed due to covid fyi
Such a fun day! What a nice little jewel to find in Chicago.
It was our 1st time at Lincoln Zoo and we had a great experience, it was a beautiful fall day, they had fall fest going on. The kids loved the train ride. We will definitely go back
Interactive and well-planned exhibits, conservation projects, free admission, and accessibility to the public are all spectacular parts of Lincoln Park Zoo. I grew up visiting here, and the expansions made over the years have been significant. I always look forward to visiting the well-maintained exhibits and hope to return soon.
I went here with a couple of friends. The scenery is amazing! I took a lot of photographs for my portfolio and would highly recommend it.
There are a lot of animals and landscapes to see.
A free zoo!!! Yes please!!! Parking in the paid lot was very affordable, like $24. The zoo was amazingly clean. I wish we'd have known they were closing early for a private event... A sign may have been nice.
