Sherry Steward, the supervisor, was extremely helpful at the Scarborough location and was able to help me immediately with what I needed. However, one of the receptionists who has supposedly worked there for 36 years, was extremely unhelpful. She was very unwilling to help me with my simple task, picking up Bronze Medallion temporary sheets, and as soon as Sherry came to the front, by chance, she immediately knew how to help me. Is this really the training the receptionists receive? I cannot be the only instructor who has made the trek out to the Lifesaving society in Scarborough and had to pick up the temp cards. The receptionist said her hands were tied and she couldn't help me today, yet the supervisor was immediately able to?? 2/5 stars simply because Sherry was so helpful and the receptionist was not.

I saw this torn, crumpled, certificate of sorts saying she has met the swim to survive standards from my daughters garbage bin and when confronted she was so dissapointed and crying said she hated doing this so called Swim to Survive. Me and my wife personally went to the first day when they did the swim to survive through their school and the ratio of lifeguards was overwhelmingly 4 lifeguards to three classes of 15-20 students per class, and done only in three sessions, one hour per session for three weeks. We have seen how they had a hard time handling 4-5 kids at a time, much less grade them as a pass or a fail. My daughter is in a swimming program in whitby and we know for a fact that she can swim the whole length of a pool. Kids do not deserve this kind of discouragement, specially in the things that they are working so hard to do and the things they love doing. The only thing I could do was tell her to ignore this and just focus on her actual swimming program. This is a very inaccurate way of grading a child in swimming, please do something about this.

These people are offering swim to survive at my daughter' school. My daughter has a disability to I contacted them to see if she'd be able to participate. No one bothered to reply and she missed out. Shame on them for poor customer service.

Jennifer at the front desk is cheery and tries her best to help but unfortunately is annoying and talks too much. The amount of overtalking results in an abundant spread of inaccurate information. She told my daughter that she had the right prerequisites for a course so I registered into the Bronze Cross with Parks and Rec and she was denied due to wrong information. I was unable to get my money back and Lifesaving Society did not take responsibility. Reception needs to be better trained.....
