This company is guilty of insurance fraud. DOESNT actually monitor the heart monitors it gets paid by insurance to do. I was admitted to the hospital for a stroke. I walked in - as the stroke was nearly a week prior. I was in the hospital for approximately 1 week while they ran tests. When i returned home there was a box in the mail. it was a heart monitor. I got it out and put it on from memory of having worn one a couple years prior. I contacted my doctor the next day to ask if i was supposed to be wearing a heart monitor as this was never discussed in my post care instructions. He said he had not ordered it and was not aware of it. There was a team of doctors who saw me but i was instructed to deliver all questions through one doctor to limit confusion. since he said there was no instructions to wear it, I took it off and it sat on my bathroom counter until i finally mailed it back. The most i could have worn it was 2 or 3 days while waiting for the doctor to respond. I returned it. Lifewatch billed my insurance company $2400 for the monitoring and me an addditiona. $300.17. I immediately contacted them and expressed my concern that if they were actually monitoring this and could not tell that i did not have a heart beat then this was indeed fraud. I didnt wear the monitor. perhaps it was ordered in error. whateer the case is - i did not wear it and they did not monitor me and if they were monitoring me - why would they not have been alarmed by my lack of heart rate. Multiple times I called in to dispute this and each time I was told that it was 1. being taken care of 2. a supervisor was reviewing or 3. it wad under review. They have been doing this since 2/28/2019.now it has gone to a collection agency. I believe that this is insurance fraud, billing fraud, consumer fraud and an attempt to take advantage of confusion surrounding people who suffer from strokes. If they did this to me - I can assure you that they did this to many other clients.
FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD!!! I never called or accessed them online, yet I was alerted by Chase Credit Fraud Services that they made a 35 cent charge authorization that looked fraudulent on my card without my authorization. It happened on the same day I ordered some CBD oil online. I don't use this card but 2-3 times a year. When I called them, they have no record of me or this transaction, so they say. I'd like to know how they got my card number and started an authorization to set up a monthly charge for a life monitor I never ordered?
If I could give zero star, I would. Incompetent company. I spent an hour with them activating my mother's heart monitor. Finally got it done and asked the CS rep to call me and verify that monitoring was being done. She did and all okay. That is, until I started receiving DAILY automated calls telling us to activate. After almost two weeks of these voicemail messages, I finally called them again and found out the first CS rep made some sort of mistake that deactivated my mother's monitor. So all this time monitoring was not occurring. This second CS rep I was talking to was acting like it was MY fault. Sheesh...what a lousy company this LifeWatch Svcs is.
I was placed onto a 30 day heart monitor. My cardiologist utilized Lifewatch. The unit shipped to me malfunctioned. I gave everyone the benefit of the doubt, as electronics do malfunction. I did receive additional supplies very very promptly. The unit continued to periodically malfunction.
On Wednesday June 25, 2014, after 30 minutes on the phone and repeated attempts to reboot the unit I was told I would be shipped a replacement. That was probably the best thing and they said they could take a look at the programming.
On the evening of June 26, 2014, I called about not yet rec'g the replacement to learn it had never been ordered or shipped. A very uncaring unprofessional group of folks seems to work there. No apologies just a matter of fact you should receive it tomorrow. Although not rude in words, their tone is not friendly what can I do for you.
We are talking about patient lives that this data is needed for so, hopefully, I will finally receive it tomorrow.
I did ask the young lady to pass on my thoughts as I would be posting this review. She indicated that she would do so and advise her supervisor. I just can not believe that a large healthcare company with such a positive reputation would treat their patients as I am being treated.
Today is Friday, June 27, 2014. I had the pleasure of reaching Martha in Customer Service at Lifewatch. What a super customer service representative. Sincere, exudes wanting to help, researches and provides you pleasant service. I wrote to compliment her. My customer contact with her gives Lifewatch 3 stars. Still waiting but should have the replacement tonight and I can package up the other unit and UPS it back.
Perhaps I was just reaching some grumpy tired customer rep's before Martha, that does happen in every Company.
David Bennett Director of Quality Assurance at LifeWatch is one shady character in the work place. He'll generate false records and documents to cover his lack of work - Has no moral work ethic. WATCH OUT. PS I have the PROOF to PROVE IT! Wonder if that's why he left Riverside Publishing
I have never heard of this company until they billed me for something I did not authorize. I requested LifeWatch provide me with proof of my authorization. They did not and cannot. Now, despite multiple attempts to work with them I have requested they stop billing me. This request has been ignored and they continue to harass me.
