Dear Lien & Giel, what a beautiful quality you deliver, fair trade and 100% Dutch design, I have been a fan for years. I usually shop in your shops in Amsterdam, but also the branches in The Hague and Groningen are more than worth a visit when I'm in the area. Here you will find the personal service that you unfortunately no longer find everywhere. And I am glad that you have a webshop again, nice for my mother in Germany. Big kiss from Monique

Lovely store with very colorful designs! Always nice to look into their window when im passing it by.

The clothes were very beautiful but the attitude strange and even rude. We were waiting for the shop to open at 11:00 but the seller said they are not opening today nor tomorrow. ...then she let us in but I felt that I would not want to spend so much money under pressure. Shame as the clothes look nice!

Beautiful clothes and a great saleswoman who does not force you on something but at the same time helps you with what looks best on you.

Lien and Giel: Prehistoric customer loyalty.
As I cycled past a cheerful-looking shop window of Lien and Giel, I thought "something colorful will surely cheer my mind up." In retrospect, it has become an expensive joke and despite the brightly colored clothing I feel no better. That has everything to do with it to return policy Lien and Giel. Buy something at the store and have afterwards still feel your investment was not quite right, you have to go back to the store within 5 days. the voucher you get you need within 6 months use in one go At the same time does the value of the returned clothing be refunded for purchases via the web store?

And if there is not a new collection within those 6 months, you are dependent on the assortment that they currently have. Since they produce a few models in a multitude of fabrics and colors, you can have bad luck just like me if that model is not comfortable or looks good. The choice from a whole store actually amounts to 6 pieces. Also to my question, whether I could not keep my voucher a little longer until the next collection would follow 6.5 months later, was answered with a no. They are consistent, no is no and remains no. The question is at what price? they make beautiful clothes, but the way they treat their customers gives me the impression that this is just an annoying by-product.

Nice shops, especially a branch in Jordaan, Amsterdam center. Nice saleswomen, especially the store manager who is always willing to provide extra after-service on purchased clothing. Had a nice contact about mail and telephone. Child friendly!

Anegang 42 in Haarlem is a great store. Wide choice and what I like is that you can combine it with the different motifs.

What a great store! The clothing is colorful, cheerful and the prints are very beautiful. I found the lady who helped me very friendly and helpful. She had good advice, because I sometimes find it difficult to find the right models.

Beautiful store in centre of Amsterdam. So many colorful designs... Purchased very nice boots and some dresses. Will definetely shop some more in the webshop when back home. Very kind lady who helped us. Thank You!

I simply LOVE all the colourful designs and styles. So extraordinary, you get nothing close to it in Germany. So I enjoy once or twice per year a Shopping-trip to Amsterdam, and I have never returned with empty hands.
The quality is also great, very much recommended if you are into colour!

Unfortunately, the previous reviewer is right! The store has absurd return rules and adjusts it as mood or weather, it seems. Even the nice ladies in the shops don't seem to agree with the pre-war rules. Not surprising, because what is absurd for customers is, of course, also for staff. And to think that a return from the (canceled) web store was refunded and that from the store was not. A purchase with a return over a year ago at villa went very differently. After an email about the return, more than a year later, I was asked for a bank number to refund money. The opposite of Lien and Giel. Who apparently can afford to deal with customers like that, what an aftertaste!
