We was there July 16 to the 20th, the refrigerator did not work. Called the desk the sent 3 guys up an said that it needed defrosted. But they never came back, so I had to ice down all are food that we had in Refrigerator. Thermostat on the wall didn't work the A/C had to work it at the PTac unit. The A/C coil was dirty. They told me they would clean. That didn't happen either. Some of the A/C units in other rooms leak condescension on the wall way around the hotel. So watch out. Okay this is some thing I seen wrong. Now to fix the refrigerator in are room would of been the fan moter, the A/C in are room just needed cleaned and thermostat needed wired at PTAC unit. The other units that leak on the floor need the plug put back in the bottom of the A/C unit so the condescer fan will throw it on condescer coil and evaporator. They say the parking is free for one car but I was charge for it. Could go on.

I love how the food is cooked and that there is a beach and a pool and if you get lucky maybe you will get big waves if there are boats and jet ski's

Nice clean rooms which are right on the ocean. It is also a plus that it is right near downtown close enough to walk.

Clean, great room. Beach, dinning, pool. Attentive friendly service. Great pasta and meatballs delivered hot for late night snack. Everything closes at 9PM!!! order early!!

An event had occurred this morning and we was kicked out because of an event unrelated to us. We was treated like pure scumbags and then because of this we will never stay ever again. I am pursuing a lawsuit for this.

Great Staycation at Lido Beach resort. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Service is great. The beach and pool are nice (they even have an adults only pool and hottubs) Multiple dining options. Updated rooms. Close to everything in St Armands circle.

Beautiful room in the tower. Great service overall. Had a very good lunch in the cafe by the lobby. All food was well prepared and presented.

Great place. Beautiful location right on the beach. They have a tiki bar right on the beach. I love going there to drink a couple cocktails then walk right to the water. It is definitely a hotel a recommend.

We just went in for drink and hung out at the beach. It was great.

The locations is great right by the beach with refreshments and dancing.

Great Beach! Plenty of parking with easy access to the beach.

Really nice, they are working in the repair big the beach as some of the sad had drift away.

We were guests of my neice and her family. Absolutely beautiful and the staff were all wonderful and nice. I loved every minute there. My mom literally was dieing at the Sarasota hospital and we we're given a chance to release some grief at this amazing resort

Slight problem holding the reservations but once that gets worked out, the rooms and people are very nice get an ocean view and you will not regret it. I believe it is on Sunday that they have their buffet style brunch and it is a definite must do.

Very good pool. Private beach. Excellent views of the Gulf of Mexico.

Beach was gorgeous, the staff was friendly, the pool was super nice, the entire reosrt was accessible, overall a beautiful place to spend a vacation. The drinks and food are a bit overpriced but that's expected for a resort like this. I will say though, the breakfast is great, lunch and dinner... Not so much, do yourself a favor and go out to eat when you stay here.

Great spot right on the beach with fantastic amenities! The restaurant and bar beside the pool has an awesome selection of delish food and refreshing drinks ( get the margaritas! ). Really pleasant servers make the beach-break snack very satisfying.

I can't say enough great things about this resort. Proximity to the beach, volleyball, ping pong, amazing Tiki Bar, great breakfast restaurant (drift). The rooms were generous, updated, clean. Everything works at the highest level and tons of customer service! We will definitely be back!!! Thank you!!!

Visited this beach for my friend's wedding and it was beautiful!

Great resort. Wonderful rooms and views. Staff were the best. Unfortunately due to the red tide no one could go on the beach and the smell of rancid fish permeated the air with every breeze. Not the resorts fault and they did offer to let us leave early with no penalties. It s a shame because my family was looking forward to walking on the sand. The entire Sarasota area was covered in dead fish in every canal. My hope is it gets better. Before booking you should find out if there is a red tide. If it s there you don t want to be. Shame.

I didn't get to spend too much time there, I was visiting a friend on vacation, but I loved the atmosphere and the beach very close by.

Our favorite place ever!! After all we got married on the beach at sunset almost 2 years ago.

Overpriced, not worth it but the view is why you go. Wait staff could use some lessons in customer service.

The hotel is nice. The young lady at the front desk was rude. There was a roach that fell out of the towel when opened. Way too much to spend for this.

Location, location location. Very clean, restaurant was absolutely wonderful and staff was great. Close proximity to shops, more restaurants and sights. Lots to see and do in a very close area. They keep their beach clean

Just a super place with super service and super employees

Place is good for what it is, there's just an absurd amount of fees that most places won't tell you about till you're actually there. They actually put taxes in fees, which just makes no sense.

My stay here was highly disappointing!! The staff here took unprofessionalism to whole new high. Nice establishment, but the staff were unfriendly and hostile towards me and my family. After I put in a formal complaint, the manager argued with me and cut me off. Due to the staff s disrespect and cockroaches, I will not be returning here.

Great view but food was not good. We are not picky but grouper was thin and a funny color. 3 of us sent it back. We ordered the salmon instead...fishy and strange tasting. They comped us on the food because we didn't eat it. Hopefully things improve in the kitchen.

Great location, incredible view from my room (1207), great food. Wish the tiki bar stayed open a bit later.

If you're not going to be spending the day at the pool/patio/bar, skip it. The beach is free to walk, the room was clean and nice but dated- particularly the TV.

This place is absolutely the cutest resort I ve ever stayed at! We drove from Clearwater to checkout Sarasota not knowing what to expect and I called this resort booked the room over the phone and check in wasn t until 4 pm and they let us check in before noon! The beach, the pool , the tiki pool bar are all great and fabulous! All the staff were super accommodating and nice. There is an adult only pool and separate family pool - which I thought was great! The room is very nice with kitchenette - all updated kitchen amenities - granite , stainless steel appliance, and updated shower with bathroom! Everything was above and beyond my expectation! We will definitely be back!!

The Palm building appears to be the nicest part of the resort. We paid over $320 a night and were put in the Tiki building which is nothing more than an old Best Western with fresh coat of paint. You enter and exit each room from outside. The lobby is in the Palm building. So is the restaurant. The rooms in the 4 level Tiki building have the oldest AC units built into the outside wall which rattle and smell like an old Best Western. The resort isnt bad but they claim to be an Opal property so I had certain expectations and this resort did not live up.

This place is good for families. They have a family pool separate from the adult pool and hot tubs, so you don't have to tolerate dirty looks from people splashed by your kids' cannon balls. The food is pretty standard for resorts: salads, burgers, sandwiches, friend food, etc. All pretty solid, but does get a little repetitive if you stay for a week or longer. Beach is great! Shallow pretty far out and clear, so, again, great if you have kids who like to splash around in the ocean without fear of getting in over their heads. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Great happy hour at the tiki bar by the pool. Gorgeous beach for jogging in the morning or watching the sunset. Only a couple of things I would suggest they change: Would be great to have a shuttle from the SRQ airport. The queen beds were much too soft for our family's comfort...you sink into them and roll towards the middle. Also it would be great if they had an activity or two throughout the day - maybe a wine tasting, yoga on the beach, a craft for kids, etc. But overall, I think most families would be quite happy to stay here.

We bought by interval, expensive upon arrival we found out that there was a charge of 29 for services + 15 parking per day + tax the hotel well considering that it is 3 stars the rooms do not have kitchen if dishwasher and microwave many people taking in the pool beach cute the umbrella 15 dls more too expensive

For state starters, the front desk staff outs incredible. Polite, knowledgeable, courteous, just all around wonderful. The ocean view room was incredible, well appointed, and most importantly, comfortable. The beds take prisoners, you've been warned. We highly recommend staying here and we can't wait to return!
