Free parking and wifi. Perfect place to work in between meetings. Beautiful library
A quiet, clean, professional location for studying and working with computer.
An excellent public library, but a little less surprising bearing in mind the healthy tax base.
Dope library. 4 stars for a librarian scolding me for reading on the floor with my legs-crossed.
I was free for a couple of hours in Beverly hill, and I needed to take advantage of this moment in Beverly hill public library. The place is very clean, quiet and has free internet (without use or need to enroll library card), and have free parking for two hours. The internet is very fast and has some study tables with outlet and lights, and some comfortable sofas with an outlet to charge your laptop, MacBook or smartphone. Have many books and diverse subjects, in addition, many CD and DVD. Definitive this a place I will return many times when I'm free in Beverly Hill.
Beautiful, clean, well-lit library with automated check-in / check-out. Plenty of space to work.
The children's section is the most impressive area, with a lovely entrance, a huge selection, new technology and plenty of room for kids to read or study. The reading room is spectacular.
Well categorized inventory - the most efficiently alphabetized music collection I've seen, albeit a disappointingly limited selection.
Making photocopies here is difficult. The machines are new, but the staff have not been trained to use them, so you'll waste money getting them to try to figure out how to make you copies, before you finally give up. The most convenient (and counterproductive) solution is to check out materials and go someplace else with a copier...
5 stars, at least, for the library, but a loss of three stars due to the woman in charge of passports. Absolute worst attitude on the planet, and the last thing I need while trying to get this situated for three kids is someone who is this smug and tactless.
Seriously, lady, a smile wouldn t kill you.
Super nice place to study, bring your kids and have some fun !
It s pretty close to some coffee places and restaurants so you can pitstop ulyour learning to eat a little !
Police station across the street and city hall as well
I love it
You probably gonna love too
Class won out at this beautiful library where the staff is helpful, professional and proficient. There are plenty of computers, DVD's and books to keep anyone busy. I've never been in the Children's section, but from the outside, it really makes me wonder how lucky the Beverly Hill's kids are.
Good public library. Good selection. Also a nice place to hang out if you just want a quiet place to read or work on your laptop.
Friendly staff, clean facility. Very good Blu Ray collection
I was really impressed with the amount of people reading here! The library is both dignified and lively. Seems to be also very functional. The children's section is sweet, beautiful, and modern. It offers a play room, theater and does not seem to leave many wishes unanswered. The teen section is locked and I was not allowed in. I asked. Which I find very respectful.
This is the LOUDEST library i have ever been to. impossible to study here
Most awsomest library! Also, mine since I was a childing.
Could be more interesting visitors av honcho I'll ok
Got my passport renewed. I had to wait a bit even though I had an appointment but the process was very fast.
Very quiet, peaceful and clean library. Perfect place to study in peace.
A wonderful place to study. It gets very busy on weekends so be sure to arrive when the library opens if you plan on studying for extended periods.
I think this is one of my favorite libraries. I have been visiting here since I was a kid. There are big study rooms and there is a coffee shop so you don't even have to leave. I like their DVD collection because there are so many great topics. They even have an automated checkout system so there is no need to wait in line.
Great liberary. The atmosphere is quite and clean. It is also a good destination if you have a kid as it has a specific a corner for children.
I went here as a kid, it was my first job that I got in high school. I would go there to study during college years. It also has a nice coffee shop. Iv also seen a lot of famous people come here.
Coffee shop is the best! Outdoor seating, free wifi desserts and mochas to die for.
The staff are generally terrific. Some of the ladies that work upstairs at the upstairs reference desk can be snippy and unaccommodating at times. However, I love this library - it has so many areas to work. The very back area is for those that need absolute silence. The children's area with the theater is simply awesome - so pretty and inviting for parents and kids.
Classy library in a classy Beverly Hills.2 hr parking is free.Ppl come to study and read.Well stacked library Used book store has an amazing variety of books. Some are very expensive -the price goes up to as much as $30.00.This library is a must to see.
The staff of the Beverly Hills Public Library are White Supremacists and will force you to jump through bureaucratic hoops to get a library card, if you are African-American.
Visiting this library is a pleasant experience. Efficient and organized. Check out the art and reference area; we're always distracted there. The children's area is very nice, as well.
I enjoy going to read and study here! If you need some peace and quiet here is the place. It is a place where I can rely on getting the information I need for my case studies. If I recall parking is free for the first two hours.
A library that is truly fit for Beverly Hills.
From historical items to DVDs, this place has it all.
You can read, study, hold meetings and enjoy a quiet time in a beautiful setting like no other.
The BHPL is an experience.
George Vreeland Hill
One of the most beautiful libraries! Great service! Beautiful architecture! Good place to study!
Beverly Hills police department is next door. It is very safe!
All types of fictional and romantic books are available and peaceful place to study.Less crowdy all the time.
My kids have grown up here in Beverly Hills and this library has been a big part of their childhood. We remember the old children's section which was replaced with the much nicer children's library in 2014. The library as a whole is quite large with a collection worthy of a world class city. Our only complaint, which is a complaint about every library in California, is that it is a hangout for homeless people. We have witnessed numerous incidents involving the homeless in the library, where the BHPD has has to intervene. It's nothing against the homeless people and their plight, but a public library is NOT a place they need to be living. This library needs to be clean and safe for the residents and their families. We would really appreciate more effort on this matter.
It's the library of my childhood. Very good place to be to study and work.
Definitely one of the better public libraries around Los Angeles. Free wifi, clean and a really nice children's book section. I think they have kids activities as well. They also have passport services at this location.
I ve tried to come here 5 times now, every time has been terrible. Extremely loud, always many babies crying and screaming. Management does not monitor the volume of people. Always a lot of homeless people. No cubicle space.
Great collection of resources, nice and courteous staff, and pretty cool atmosphere !
I m very fond of the architect vision of the building! This is one of my favorite library! It s actually pretty big and well organized! I like to come here to concentrate on work!
If I could give zero stars I would. They sent in the wrong sized pass port photos (that they took themselves there in the library) so our passports were not able to be processed. When I called them to ask how they would fix this they were not only unhelpful but rude. Do not go here for passport applications unless you have unlimited time and money. They are incompetent and you will end up like us and having to pay extra for new photos and expedited processing and possibly miss your trip because of their incompetence.
Copies are 20 cents per page. No discounts. Not for residents, not for veterans, not for seniors not for students. Why would a library charge more than Fedex or Staples or Office Depot? Are you kidding me? What is it or who is it that does justify and support these prices? The City of Beverly Hills? What a SCAM!
With a recently redesigned childrens section, this library hasn't missed a detail.
The self checkout machines have made it easy for frequent visitors to get in and get out while the quiet reading areas make for a peaceful retreat.
Don't forget to visit the Enchanted Woods Room where fairy tales and mythology from around the world are shelved.
Friendly staff, it is usually quiet and the materials are well maintained. There are plenty of comfortable places to sit, read, write and charge your devices. They also close later than most public libraries. 9:30pm some nights.
A very wide range of books .. and comfortable environment.. you can spend hours with your literature and get benefited.
Great public library! A lot of new published books as well. The bookstore is cool too a lot of $1 books. Also you can do passport there.
I really enjoy studying here! Very comforting atmosphere where you can get work done.
There is no better place in the Beverly Hills library everything you need anything you're looking for it's all here at your fingertips now available with Wi-Fi terrific place the parking is questionable the people here are scarce so if you don't know what you're looking for you need to go on your app to find it.
Loved it free membership if your Californian resident free rentals of DVDs CDs and Books clen atmosphere very moern
Getting my library card at the Beverly Hills Library today has been my favorite event since recently moving to Los Angeles . My husband had been years ago and told me how beautiful it is. And he was RIGHT- This is a TOTALLY AWESOME LIBRARY. I could have spent hours there browsing through all of the sections. There is a separate children's section that is HUGE. In addition to books, there are DVD's and Audio Books and a large assortment of newspapers. I was also impressed that the library is open seven days a week. There are kiosks to check out books, so everything is automated. Parking is in an adjacent parking garage and is FREE for 1.5 hours- a bargain in Los Angeles. Even the Library Card is beautiful
usually this is a very nice library, well-kept, quiet environment.. good public computers. They have a few public events from time-to-time. Next door to the library is the police dept and across the street is the civic center. One thing that bothers me is that I have to renew my computer card every six months, even though I have previously submitted "mail" showing I have a permanent address in the area. I hope they can rectify this at some point in time.
