I've given this place 4 stars. It's the all day breakfast that lets it down really. Apart from that the staff are pleasant enough. Had my own on-suite room and butler... Who would come with tea and newspapers. Room was nice, the minimalistic idea was a nice touch. It was secure and safe... Quadruple glazing and security door. Ideal place for winding down after a hard day. I'd definitely come back.

I have been in this establishment three times. Every single time it was fine. I was treated respectfully and tended to when needed by the nurse or staff. Some of the correctional officers could be a bit nicer some are very rude and unprofessional. We get noodles and things off comesary and make blow ups. Witch are chips noodles pickles ect mixed together with requires gloves and a trash bag so we dont contaminate our food or anyone's work space but some gaurds say they don't care or to shut up and get away from the speaker and door. All in all 5 stars because it's clean and a good facility.

VOICEMAIL TIP** If an inmate is in jail and they don't know they have a voice mail then they won't get it. You have to tell them that they have to call 111 to receive the voicemail, which is free for them to check. Otherwise, it will go unchecked and you will waste your $1.99. When you visit them or write them, then tell them this. Any inmate can call 111, enter their id number, birthday and get the voicemail. It won't cost them anything to do. If they don't have an account with money on it, they can still get the voicemail. I spoke with SECURIS (the phone company system) today at FCDC and the above information is what he told instructed me to do. Unfortunately there is a snag in the system. They will not be informed to check this by anyone telling them a voicemail is waiting. I just don't want anyone else to waste money. Hopefully this helps.

This is a freaky place. I was put into isolation for no good reason under thick glass in more secure place than Hannibal Lecter. My 3 or 4 day stay was extremely scary. I do not recall being allowed to make my one phone call to notify my family of my location. What is the CAP program? It is well known that many individuals facing misdemeanor charges are often coerced into pleading guilty by virtue of inability to pay for bail resulting in a lengthy stay in the jail waiting trial by jury or see judge. I was advised by fellow inmates to plead guilty and did so. The justice system is flawed. I saw alot of friendly bi-racial families with their loved ones checking out of this jail. There is a better way to manage society rather than subjecting people to abuse. Upon release I was given paperwork that stated that I owed approximately $950 to the jail or the court. This jail is corrupt, that is my impression. The justice system is largely flawed. I am enrolled in computer programming classes and cataloguing a database detailing specifics that can be referenced. My father was a criminal prosecutor for the Attorney General of California. I recommended that my father might as well become a judge. My parents said naw it involves taking people out to dinner for 10 years. And additionally by the time I was in 3rd grade I strived to become a US Supreme Court Justice and farmer.

I shouldn't be automatically judged for the clothes I am wearing on a particular day. I spoke to a cop in Louisville who told me that a lawyer is basically exempt from scrutiny of the law and he speed off with a comical expression.

Hello Lexington Kentucky this is the library bandito speaking: so I was testing your justice system and I've experienced judges who should not be elected or appointed. The recall process of judges is in place for a reason. I am obtaining my court records and arrest records and will follow through with an official complaint, there are three way a Superior Court judge can be removed. I am advising anyone who really feels they've been wronged by a judge to complain as well. There ought to be much more standardization of the sentencing processes of judges. Not allowances made based on an illusory impression and income bracket. Its time to judge the judges and juries to be tested for their actual accuracy in perceptions and comprehension ability.

Hey court system what impresses you so much about a criminal involved in drug trafficking who uses money from illegal sale of drugs to make bond? Those suspected of serious violent crime should not be allowed to make bond. That is putting society at large in danger. Aren't you judges even aware of the law? The Federal Index of 1978, a person accused of bank robbery is not allowed to make bond because they got that money by stealing from a bank. So same goes for robbery of a house.

Stop being bought off or somehow impressed by money. I don't have so many friends to talk to about movies or food. I am trying to get people to assert their rights and I am trying to get more accountability around here. And not have my constitutional rights violated. I should be allowed to speak in court. To present the full facts

Thanks for listening and follow through. Some really nice families probably now are unable to get jobs to pay bills. I didn't talk to them at this jail in Lexingonton.

I've been to 47 states and travelled internationally to Europe more times than the judges. Please you have no basis to look down on me. Try again.

Who is the real criminal?

LoL Fayette County Day Care, FCDC. I'd say about 5 of the officers here (or more) need counseling more than the inmates. Antagonistic and on an unnecessary power trip, spewing off lists off numbered rules ( They forget the number of the rules too, mix them up. Only the short bus guards act like that, most of them just don't want any bullcrap or signal 7 incidents and it's ok, suffer in peace. ) as well as other general non custody related power assertions in a manner probably not sanctioned by the jailer in attempts to either antagonize people or help their miserable selves sleep at night (known in unit HH as being "PETTY"). I got love for the REAL CO's in there to do their job, control custody and safety, and not act insane and get people killed. I know a guy that died there from off Halls Lane. I seen a CO get attacked and almost thrown off the top tier for putting hands on a guy when his visit had just ended and he was saying his goodbyes but was taking too long I suppose. Two wrongs don't make a right but it was dangerous and probably unnecessary considering it was just visitation, not like we were in a state prison with real killers on the loose. Usually that CO was cool though, same for the inmate, must have been a bad day for both. The review says one star but actually this jail is 5 star as far as county jails go, no jail is GREAT but they got ESPN for Christ's sake and most of the officers are good men and women. Taco Tuesday!

The officers are no better then the inmates
Too many are held here from several different places on hold or state, federal custody on top of county
Its a beautiful jail but often comes with alot of questionable ethics and wrongdoing
Its ok for some to break rules, law and policy but one mistake from someone they dont like youll see how this place is crooked
Mob bosses with a badge
Bullies with a badge
The inmates are spoiled rotten there

Was recently incarcerated at this lovely facility. I have bone cancer, so they kept me in medical unit . So I could have my one mat and sleep on the floor . Went in front of the judge he gave me time served ,but with the wonderful officers being understaffed and over worked it took a extra 4 days to get released . Yes it's supposed to be punishment . But with that so called food they serve you it's more of a cruel and unusual punishment .before you people start defending them go try a meal there first.

Most are good guards but there are a lot of them that are really turds. Just look at the scandal that was their last year or the year before with the feds looking into them. And their medical staff could care less about the inmates but love that pay check. That is why the death their all these years.

The people working should really be nicer to the people visiting, they are dealing with enough with their loved one being in jail and no-one knows what that's like until you've experienced it and it would be nice to be able to visit your loved one without being treated badly too. :(
