Great value with wonderful service. Our chauffeur was Dane, a lovely and passionate guy. He knew we're from Taiwan so he tried to introduce some attractions in Mandarin, which made my parents really happy. It was my second time to go punting with this company and I always enjoyed it.

Charlie was very friendly, knowledgeable and had some good stories to tell. And what a perfect time to go just after lockdown when everything was much quieter.

We had a wonderful afternoon on our punting ride with Tor. He was super knowledgeable and charismatic which made our tour even more enjoyable. This is a must do if you re in Cambridge.

Last weekend I booked a trip with Lets go Punting for my family. Whilst there was an initial confusion on arriving at the location, as despite confirming with the office that a party of 13 including 4 young children would be acceptable, I was advised that they could only legally accommodate 12 persons. The manager on site was very sympathetic explaining the situation and apologising for the error made by one of his colleagues. The problem was resolved by one of our party stepping aside and taking photographs.
Whilst I was obviously disappointed that all of my family could not board the punt as expected the members of our family group that actually went on the punt, thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were entertained with the historical knowledge and witty repartee of Charlie who steered us through the carnage on the Cam on Saturday afternoon.
Later that weekend I was pleasantly surprised to discover that 50% of my booking fee had been refunded in recognition of the initial error.
I would like to thank Lets Go Punting on a remarkable customer service. Everyone makes mistakes but it is the true quality of a company in how those mistakes are rectified.

Highly recommend. Interesting one hour tour. Our guide (Jack) was knowledgable and friendly. Gives you a good view of the colleges and nice to be on the river.

The Tour guide was really nice. He enthusiastically gave a lot of information about the sights on the way. But the tour itself was not very peaceful. It's usually quite crowded with boats bumping into each other. Ensure you book tickets in advance. Also, if you afraid of birds punting is not a good idea. There were lots of ducks swimming around near the boats.

What a wonderful experience. A lovely relaxing way to see some of the Cambridge colleges. Our guide Ed gave us a great insight into Cambridge life and entertained us as well as punting brilliantly. Would thoroughly recommend Let's Go Punting for a must do experience when visiting Cambridge. I prebooked the tickets online before our visit and received a discount - well worth doing.

Good fun, informative and humorous as well. Tor, our guide, was knowledgeable (having grown up in Cambridge) as well as fun and made our experience relaxing, would definitely recommend!! (even in the rain!)

There is so much that can be said on this tour and yet we were provided with only the most basic facts without any context. Guide seemed disinterested and we learned more from listening to the Scudamore s punts passing by than our own guide. Would never use again, just go to Scudamore s if you want a proper tour. Very disappointing, at least I am a Cambridge alum so could fill in the (many) gaps for my friends.

From start to finish excellent experience.
I booked a 12 people punt for a team event, Caroline sales manager couldn't have been more accommodating, organising drinks and glasses on arrival for the punt and even supplying a life jacket for a member of the team who was very nervous. We were met by Simon and Craig our guide for the punt, who was very knowledgeable and kept us laughing throughout, even allowed a couple of willing volunteers to take the helm.

Jack T captained our punt and was brilliant. He was courteous, informative, funny, knowledgeable and personable, and really enhanced our experience. It was a beautiful day for a punt up the River Cam. We got to see views of the colleges that you don't see on foot, and we would definitely recommend Let's go Punting, and Jack. PS. we hope Jack got the A level results he was after.

Booked an hour long private tour for 16 people, so we were split between two boats. Our guide, Ben was great. Had loads of interesting facts about landmarks along the way, and punted out boat expertly.
Would definitely recommend doing this tour.

Went to Cambridge for a day trip, this punting tour was amazing. It was about 55 minutes long and was a nice peaceful trip with lots of swans and ducks around us. I was worried that I was going to freeze to death as it was 6 Celsius but Instead was given blankets and hot water bottles. They also have umbrellas if it were to rain. The punting tour passes around every college in Cambridge University, with the rower telling historical (and weird) facts about each building.
One thing you need to realise is all the colleges (kings college, Trinity e.t.c) are actually Cambridge University. (Which I didn't realise until the end, when I was wondering why I didn't see it in the tour).

Must do thing when you visit Cambridge. Plan your punting ahead n if possible book online you will save few bucks there. Staff was quite friendly n gave quite good info. Advice - plan during Sunny day with your goggle on.

A must do activity in Cambridge. It's an amazing experience.

If there is one activity to do in Cambridge it is punting especially when the sun is pointing. Very pleasant experience, ride on the Cam, discover monuments like King's College ... You are comfortably settled on a boat while a guide standing on the boat pushes with his stick. It's fun! beware the weekend is full yes yes many tourists to Cambridge. To realize in week of preference!

Well-arranged tour with very knowledgeable guide, highly recommended to be pre-booked before your trip to Cambridge. Although it is a little bit far, it is worth the walk ;)

If you are going in the winter I would highly suggest taking a hot drink and also a blanket because it is freezing in the punt. Although they do supply you with blankets.
The guide we had was very talkative and friendly and funny as well as having an extensive knowledge of the area, he managed to answer all of our weird curiosities.

Took a Let's Go Punting shared tour last weekend and would highly recommend. Helped by a beautiful sunny autumnal day and a great vibe in Cambridge we had an amazing time on the river. Expertly guided by Kieran who provided a smooth ride and a seamless commentary full of information and amusing anecdotes. Thoroughly enjoyable. Felt we'd relaxed and learnt lots. 12 year old and 7 year old loved it too.

When I looked at the little red umbrella, under wich the sort of office operated, did not think much of it, specially after comparing them to other companiea with their great uniforms and well advertised business. However, the quality of the experience was FANTASTIC!!! A very well informed, cultured and polite young man gave us facts, made it seem effortless and made it feel pleasurable to all of us.

A must-do in Cambridge!

Really enjoyed my punting trip with my family today. Punting is a must-do activity for anyone visiting Cambridge. We had young Josh as our guide and he was very personable. He gave us a running commentary of the places we passed along the river. I highly recommend this firm to anyone. All the staff made sure our trip went smoothly without any hiccup.

Great experience and highly recommend punting led by a professional (not self hire). Unfortunately didn t catch the name of our guide but he was absolutely excellent - informative, polite and funny! We had a pre booked private hire for 12 people (1hr) and it lasted approx 50 minutes.

Booked on a whim and only had to wait a few minutes for a group session. Staff were warm & polite and the person who took us punting was informative and friendly. Came at a good price too, can't compare to other ones in Cambridge, but I would wholeheartedly recommend these guys.

If you come to Cambridge you really have to go punting. There's a lot of choice but Lets go punting was clearly the best. If you go there, try and ask for Josh he was really nice and you could see that he knows his job.

Third time that I brought guests over to punt. I stuck with this company not only the price is very reasonable that keep loyal customer like me, also the tour guide is very informative about the history of the colleges (except this last time slightly less informative, but summer time is their peak season, totally understand it can be tiring). Highly recommended and will continue to support this business!

We got the only boat on the whole river without umbrellas. It poured with rain about 5 minutes in and we got absolutely soaked. We might as well have jumped into the river. The guide offered a bit if history but not as much as I was expecting.

A plesent journey down the cambridge colleges. The guide was friendly and well informed. Well done Barnaby. We asked lots of questions and got knowledgeable answers. Also enjoyed the bar boat part way along. Watch out for novice punter who add an element of humour and excitement to the journey

This was my first time in Cambridge and also Punting and Callan made the experience such a joyful one for us. He made us feel safe and welcome and the history lesson was worth everything. Thank you Callan and yeah, Byron is the best :)

If you are visiting Cambridge be sure to go punting. You have two options, either get a tour guide who punts the whole 30-60 minute journey for you or you can punt yourself. If you just want to relax (or it's your first time) I'd suggest getting the tour guide to do it as they also provide you with useful information about the history of specific landmarks on the way e.g. King's College Cathedral, the Mathematical Bridge, the Bridge of Sigh etc. We were in a large group and with the Lets Go Punting company they allow up to 12 per boat. I'd highly recommend the Lets Go Punting company, our tour guide was very useful and knowledgeable. I'm sure the others are great too, but I liked these guys, they had a pretty modern website too plus most importantly, one of the most reviewed on Google so we went for them.

I took trip with my son on last Friday from London to Cambridge . The journey over the river was very impressed . We had amazing tutor Ben which told us a lot about history and more . Definitely we recommend let go punting . Ben you are the best . Thank you for your tour.
