Last weekend I booked a trip with Lets go Punting for my family. Whilst there was an initial confusion on arriving at the location, as despite confirming with the office that a party of 13 including 4 young children would be acceptable, I was advised that they could only legally accommodate 12 persons. The manager on site was very sympathetic explaining the situation and apologising for the error made by one of his colleagues. The problem was resolved by one of our party stepping aside and taking photographs.
Whilst I was obviously disappointed that all of my family could not board the punt as expected the members of our family group that actually went on the punt, thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were entertained with the historical knowledge and witty repartee of Charlie who steered us through the carnage on the Cam on Saturday afternoon.
Later that weekend I was pleasantly surprised to discover that 50% of my booking fee had been refunded in recognition of the initial error.
I would like to thank Lets Go Punting on a remarkable customer service. Everyone makes mistakes but it is the true quality of a company in how those mistakes are rectified.
Finally I would certainly recommend Lets Go Punting to anyone wishing to enjoy 45 minutes punting on the Cam
