Family-style sports bar that always seems to be packed to the gills. Has a rowdy but wholesome atmosphere. They serve standard American bar fare plus the usual-suspect entrees. Servers are pleasant. Again, they do get busy, so be prepared for a wait if you have a large group and/or it's a popular eating time.

Horrible service, sweet potatoes soggy and old, Rueben the great? Not!. Never saw a manager and specifically asked the server to make sure the sweet potato fries were fresh. Pathetic!
Lester's is a go to for us on nights like tonight when we just cant make a decision. We know that the food will always be good and the staff is always warm and welcoming.
I ve been to Lester s many times because Univeroety of Michigan Alumni holds gam watches here. It is consistently a bad experience. The service is slow and the servers are often rude. Th restaurant is general seems flustered with a crowd. The food is bad and their wine lists is terrible (even for a sports bar). I would not recommend this place to anyone who wants more than just a beer.
Service was horrible, our server seemed like he had blinders on. We were both out of water and iced tea for several minutes before he brought a refill and he delivered our food while we were out and still didn't return with a refill.
The hamburger my wife ordered was shameful in quality and certainly not cooked as ordered. It wasn't even edible, so we told the server after we caught him that she wasn't happy with it and she asked to order something else in its place and we were still charged for the inedible burger.
I haven't been here in a while and after today I won't return.
The perfect upscale Sport Bar and Restaurant . Great drinks , perfect muchies , and food with attentive staff. The Deli sandwiches are massive and yummy.
Wings are overrated, as you know I'm a wing connoisseur.... but the pastrami and corned beef are legit; take it from a native New Yorker. Big recommendation
I had the Black & Bleu Burger. It wasn't fancy and didn't need to be because it was delicious! Black Angus beef cooked perfectly with a toasted bun, bacon, Bleu cheese. It melded together so wonderfully that there was not even a thought of adding any condiment. I would absolutely recommend this menu item to anyone who appreciates a great burger.
Wanted to meet people Saturday. Website shows they do a happy hour on Saturday. Called the place and was told that that is a mistake. It should say Monday-Friday. Thought this was gonna be our new place to hit up.
First time here .... Good American Food, Had the pulled pork and sweet potato fries. Friendly staff. Would have liked them to have a high chair I could put my 5 month old's car seat in. Other than that I would recommend.
I got the hot pastrami but it wasn't hot when it came out. The brisket nackos are awesome. Meal a bit spendy. Just decided to try our luck again. Nachos great, I got a hot brisket sandwich, well that is what the menu said. It was cold and I sent it back to get heated up again and it still came back cold. What a joke. My fiance loves the BBQ brisket nachos, but I won't order a sandwich from there again. I sent it away and the waiter didn't really care and I said I wasn't paying for it and had to ask for drink refill. It wasn't busy at all. I think their quality has gone way down.
What a great place. We had the best fish and chips since our last trip to the U.K. Brad Isaak the chef is fantastic and Debbie our waitress was beyond terrific. Great place for business or pleasure!!! What a treat. We'll be back!
In town for business and thought I'd give it a try . What a find ! Reuben, potatoe soup and cheesecake for dessert . All were exceptionally good and so was the service . I travel ALOT for work and this place is a rare find! VERY PLEASED!
We stopped there only because it was on our way to an event and very pleasantly surprised. The Black and Blue Burger was exceptional, piled with melted blue cheese. Thin crispy fries were fresh and big portion. Charles was our waiter, attentive and friendly. We had been to another location and had a not so great experience but this place rocked!! Will be coming back again!
Excellent place. We had 11 folks, 5 kids, it was a busy Friday night but we were served reasonably fast. I had the hot pastrami, it was excellent, fries were ok. Service was outstanding. I'd go back
I stopped in for lunch at Lester s Sports Bar & Grill today. The food was fantastic, as well as the service. I enjoyed the Corn Chowder with Andouille Sausage and their Corned Beefed Reuben Sandwich. I also brought home a slab of ribs with their sweet sauce for dinner. The corn chowder had a subtle spice to it, and the andouille sausage was flavorful. The Rueben was served hot on seeded rye bread toasted just right that had a pleasant crunch when you bit into it. The sandwich was put together well as the sauerkraut and cheeses never soaked into the bread and made it difficult to eat. Their staff was attentive but not intrusive and had the skill to check on you from a distance and appear at the right moment. I noticed that when the wait staff wasn t serving customers, they were busy cleaning and keeping the condiments topped off and placed at the center of each table. The restaurant was spotless as well as the men s room. Lester s will be on my list of places to return to enjoy another meal.
We went to happy hour here. There were strong drinks and good times to be had. We tried some appetizers and the food was delicious. It had a great atmosphere and the staff was great. I highly suggest checking this place out.
Had too wait for table but had a drink at the bar bartender didn't know how to make a Pina colada. Went to a dining room table and noticed that half of the tables were empty! Why did we have to wait? Wings were good raves we're good Rubin was so so .....
Stopped in for a beer and an app on the way home. We haven't been here in a couple of years cause last time we came the food was meh and the service was even less than meh. Maybe the bartender last visit was having an off day and maybe the kitchen staff was new or maybe it was a full moon. I don't know but this time the bartender was great, friendly, thoughtful, courteous, prompt and professional. I ordered naked wings and my wife ordered mac-n-cheese and a pickle. She's not pregnant, she just wanted 2 of her favorite foods in one sitting... The wings were outstanding! Crispy, hot, flavorful and we're definitely not from frozen, or at least they didn't have that from frozen texture most bars try to pass off as "award winning wings." My wife loved the pickle; apparently they are made in house. It was really quite yummy as far as a pickle goes and it was also quite crisp (it was a whole pickle sliced in half, lengthwise). Her Mac and cheese was rediculously cheesy, hot, creamy and perfectly cooked to al-dente for that oh so subtle "snip" with watch bite. It was also a rather large portion - too large to eat in one sitting so she took it home and it had gone for 2 more servings before she finally finished it. Overall, this was a successful visit and we won't stay away for this long again, especially because now I know where to get the second best wing I've eaten in St Louis. I say second because no one comes close to the ones I make at home .
Great food and great atmosphere, you even get a real linen napkin! The only negative is the cheap silverware with thin sharp edges, definitely out of place at such a fine place to eat.
Food at Lester's is really good. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is amazing. It is a super place to eat and a perfect venue to watch your favorite sports events.
It's fine for what it is a family-friendly restaurant (and bar) that makes a mix of BBQ and deli foods. It's a good place for an easy dinner and a few beers while watching sports. Nothing more.
