Brilliant fun for the kids, an exhausting day for ...

Brilliant fun for the kids, an exhausting day for the parents. We stayed in a pirate room with our 2 and 4 year old. They loved the room and the mini-the treasure hunt, not to mention the bunk beds.

We had dinner in the castle hotels tournament tavern restaurant which had table service unlike other ones which are buffet so I'm told. The environment is really nice, with a Lego fire, the food is very good albeit on the expensive side. The wine selection is limited, I'd request a full wine menu be added for those parents who have been counting the hours until they can sit down with a nice large glass of wine. They have a lady knight and Lego brick that came round and said hi to the kids, a nice touch.

Breakfast was buffet and very busy, the food was ok, but details like no tea spoons and many coffee machines being out of order let them down, you're asking for trouble if you can't get people their morning coffee.

Checking out was quite simple, drop the card in a box in reception on the ground floor. I'd request they put another box on the Park level R, lots of us were going down to reception putting the card in a box then coming back up, did make a congested lift busier.

The park itself is very busy, use you 30minute early start as a hotel guest wisely. Unfortunately for us after queueing early the ride broke down, but was fixed eventually. Getting a q-bot pass for the time we wasted queuing was harder than it should have been, I'd recommend giving staff more autonomy without the need to get managers involved which just adds another 30mins to the saga.

It's quite overly commercial, why there are people trying to give NowTV sticks away I don't know, it just felt out of place at a kids theme park. I thought the Star Wars experience was 'most impressive' and well worth walking through.

The hotels swimming pool is looking very tired and quite dark and gloomy a drain odour in the changing area doesn't help. It needs some serious refurbishment, but in principal it could be a great little pool for the kids.

I think what let's Legoland down is the little things and they all accumulated to lower my rating. Things like the skyline bar where we went for lunch had old bits of food visibly left in the middle of the floor without anyone thinking to clean them up. When we went to leave we'd bought some Lego in the big Lego shop and asked for it to be taken to reception by 3pm, at 3.30pm when we went to leave it wasn't there and didn't make an appearance until 4.15pm, this made us late home and we nearly asked for a refund but obviously we waited. I understand it's crazy busy and things go wrong but every little thing needs a manager which means 40mins wasted. It could easily be improved by giving all staff a bit more control of the customer experience. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful but most seemingly couldnt resolve issues and would need to call a manager.

Would I go back, probably but I'm excitedly plotting my return. Do I wish I'd just gone for the day? Yes and no, the kids loved the hotel room and the models probably more then the rides. In a few years they'd be able to go on more rides bit I think they'll treasure the memory.

Overall is ok, lots of opportunity for improvement and if they do fix the little issues it could be really magical.

Been coming here since it first opened, bringing various children for days out or to work. It's great for young kids although the queues can be very long. Food and refreshments can add a lot of cost to your day if you don't bring your own. Over the years, they've increased the number of extras that cost money too such as face-painting or win-a-toy stalls. Be prepared to fend off requests for these if you're on a tight budget (or don't fancy lugging around a 5' unicorn or similar.

Don t go unless you have vouchers!!!

Don t go unless you have vouchers!!!

The park itself is amazing, I loved the model village made out of Lego especially the royal wedding (Harry and Megan), incredible how much detail they went into for this!
Most rides you will have to queue for about 20-30 minutes though unless you have a Qbot card then it s only about 5minutes.
I think you would have to do the park over 2 days which is probably why they built a hotel onsite. Look out for the letters on the road as you drive in, that s quite comical! You have to watch the show at the lake, i think it s on every day, would be worth planning your time wisely to catch it

Such an amazing place to go if you have kids there are lots of things to do there and you can make so many amazing memories the only problem with legoland Windsor Resort is the waiting times for you to actually get on to a ride but the rides are most definitely worth every second of the wait

Overall legoland is a place just for the little on...

Overall legoland is a place just for the little ones especially. Our party consisted of 3 adults and 5 children. Children 3 and under enter for free.

Before going Legoland I had read reviews about it and so was very prepared for our 2 days adventure. Measurements for majority of the rides start from 0.9m tall (roughly the height of your usual 3yr old or a tall 2yr old) but they must be accompanied by an adult and not another older child.

Legoland is very big, a lot of walking from one town of attraction to another. Rides are very slow and boring. There was only like 4-5 rides that are exciting for the older children and adults.
FYI : I don't know the exact names of the rides, these are just a rough idea of what they could be called or where they are.
- The Water Log Ride
- The Spider Spining Ride
- The Water Ride in The Viking village
- The submarine ride
- And another Water ride near where the water show is.

Driving school was also a fun place for the kids, the enjoyed it, it was separated into two different area 3-5yr Old and 6-12/13yr olds. It was fun watching the children drive with their own little cars all by themselves, their roads included correct floor marking, trafic lights, roundabouts and just the usually signs and things you will see a road.

All around the amusement park was lovely statues made up of lego pieces, dinosaurs, superhero characters and there was this mini land that had many famous landscape constructions all made out of lego. That made it extra special.

We spent six hours there and had a trolley bag packed full of snacks, fruits and water, juice, popsicles that had all been frozen overnight to keep cool for our day.
Hot food was kept in a big cooler in the car and at the end of the day we had our dinner in the car park whilst we waited for the traffic of the cars leaving to reduce.

WARNING!!! If you are going to stay till the end, the queue to leave the car park takes a long time so come with something to eat to while away time or if you are in Legoland have an activity to do in the car whilst you wait.

Staffs were very friendly but strict to their rules.

There was lots of space to stop for a picnic and lots of toilets around.

Park was nice, but there is more for really small children. A lot of people everywhere and you loosing time waiting in the queue. Restorant was very messy next morning, alot of dirty tables around. They serving English breakfast in the morning, but there was no beans, and food was dry. As check ik time is 3pm and my boy wasn't feeling well we asked for early check in, that was about 1oclock or little bit after, I've been told that will take a few minutes to check is any rooms ready, it took nearly a hour. And I went to ask second time because they probably forget that we waiting. . Price nearly 400 EU that we paid for 1nite is definitely to much for the service that you get.

racism in the park staff in legoland. The legoland staff not rescept the Indian people at all. Yesterday, it was happened when my baby wants to take a train ride in toddler play area. She already have height of 1 m but the legoland staff refused to allow her to sit down in the front site. But same time their are allowed the white kids or English kids which are less than 1 m height. We had worest experience with the legoland staff.

The notion of this place is pure genius... although the reality is you will actually get on about 4/6 rides while you are there some of your most wanted rides to go on might be closed. there will be no where to sit down. Queues are sometimes up to 80 mins. On the plus side the rides are fantastic (that you can get on) the mini world is stunning bring a towel and costume in case of the water rides working.

Kids love it but the prices are unrealistic and alittle cruel on parents trying to treat the family. Ques are huge but there is nice picnic areas to eat if you take your own. Its amazing inside just wish they would limit the visitors.. id rather get turned away than face the crowds like on our last visit.. the water park was chaos and could of had serious accidents as to many in to small a space

A bank holiday visit and despite the crowds it was still a pleasurable visit. The queues were manageable and there is free drinking water and sunscreen provided for hot days.

Legoland Windsor is great for young families to visit. Taking your own food/drink is a good money saver as the food outlets are over priced. Be sure to download the Legoland app for special pricing deals, park tickets and queue times for the day of your visit.

A fun novelty to do once. However they can't cope with the numbers and need to limit entry by half to make it enjoyable. 45 minute queues for a 90 second ride, 30 minute queue for machine coffee. Limited food choice. Miniland is about the best thing to see. Wouldn't go again on a weekend. Social distancing non existent, probably worse than some raves that have been shut down. Traffic jam while trying to leave because they only opened one of four lanes, some very curious management decisions. But on the whole pretty much exactly as I expected.

We had a good time, rides were good and we were lucky enough to be here on a very quiet day so not too concerned about how long they lasted. It's a tad expensive and the food is insanely costly for what it is.

So I took my daughter to Lego land. First of all I couldn't buy these meal deals tickets. There was a error. So had to buy food there 33 pounds later. But my biggest issue was the fact that the Legoland app was telling me that haunted house ride was closed. Only to find it was open. Waitied 40 mins to go on the dragon ride, to then find out it was broken. And i found it annoying that someone was sick on the pirate ship. So we was told that someone would be there to clean it up. Then later was told not to waste my time. I was disappointed. Yes the star wars walk and Lego itself was good. The ninja ride was fun. But I wouldn't class it as a ride. But my daughter was happy. Very expensive for Lego in Legoland. I definitely will try it again. But the team there was happy to help.

Queue to get in, then queue to buy admission tickets, queue, queue, queue, we spent half the day in queues ...... expensive entrance prices for a tatty & faded theme park that really does need to pull itself together to justify the high ticket price, quite a few rides were closed / experiencing 'technical difficulties' & food stalls closed but hey, we could find others to queue at....

Plus points, the Heartlake City show is an impressive production with Jetskis, pyrotechnics & high level action. The staff all seemed friendly & helpful. Everybody loves Lego (even if it has Been left outside for years & faded..)

Conclusion: Excellent queues & Merlin know how to charge for them! - We will not be rushing back which is a shame as 3 years ago it was a different story....

Two nights at the castle hotel in a wizard room du...

Two nights at the castle hotel in a wizard room during brick week. On arrival we were met with the common theme for the whole stay. Standing around waiting. We waited while the one person on the reception desk answered the questions for the person in front of us. For at least ten minutes! Why not have two people on the desk? Not the best start. Ordered the welcome pack which included two bottles of beer, there's no bottle openers in the room. If I wanted to open them I was advised to go to the bar, who would gladly open them for me. I mean come on, seriously?

Breakfast in the tournament tavern was much of a similar affair as bricks the evening before. Food sat under counters far longer than it should be. The fried eggs were like rubber and pretty much inedible.
Then onto the first of our 'free days' at the park. Made our way to the first ride, only just opened at 10am so there was no queue. Stood around waiting for half an hour before they eventually opened the doors of the ride. Once inside we were informed the ride was broken and to maybe come back later. By now the park was full. Next ride, waiting in the queue for 50 minutes. Now it's lunch time! Queue for half an hour to get a 'quick' sausage roll. Again only one member of staff serving. Card only payments for food. Forty minutes to eat probably the worst sausage roll I've had in my life. I couldn't really complain about the children not wanting to eat theirs. Then some time to maybe squeeze in two more rides before the park shuts at 4pm. 10am to 4pm opening, really? When you spend an hour queuing for a ride and almost two hours for lunch, including queuing for food and toilets, your extremely lucky if you even get three rides in your 'day'! Apparently the park was only at a third of usual capacity to minimise our time spent in queues, I'd hate to think what it must be like at full capacity.
After the park closed we headed for the hotel pool and pirate splash. A small area but pretty decent really. You have to book, so no queue thankfully. Splashed about for about an hour and then onto the evening. We couldn't get a table at the tournament tavern as it was fully booked and we didn't fancy paying through the nose again for food nobody would eat at bricks so we ordered from Dominoes instead. The evening entertainment of magic show, dancing and other activities were good but my children tend to get a bit scared so we didn't hang around.
Next day at the park was much like the first, lots and lots of standing about broken up by very brief moments of fun. Standing in a queue for an hour for two minutes of fun really isn't my idea of great value. We went to the big LEGO store to buy some LEGO, when presenting our LEGO V.I.P. card we're told that they don't accept it as it isn't an official LEGO store. Yes that's right, the LEGO shop in Legoland isn't a LEGO shop at all, have you ever heard anything so ridiculous?
Overall this break was a massive let down, expected so much but delivered so little. Things to improve are the opening times, food and more staff. There's no reason not to stay open until later. We live in an age of electric lighting, they could easily have the park lit and stay open until 8pm, at least then you might be able to get a few more rides in. They need more staff, the ones they have at the various service points are clearly overworked. But the staff they have do a good job, I must say that. Very cheery, wavy children's presenter style interactions with the children. Adds to the magical experience in the children's eyes.

What lovely park this is for little and big kids alike. The park is set in lovely grounds with some fabulous rides for the whole family, it should be mentioned this is not a thrill seakers theme park.

There is plenty to do including the imagination centre where you get meet and greets, build your own Lego or help with themed events. You also have the mini figure and hard to find bricks shop where you can create your own figures to purchase.

In the summer you have 2 splash zones, one for little kids - which is great fun for most kids and the slide zone for the bigger kids with viewing area for the parents.

There are plenty of places to eat in and lots of on the go bars dotted around. The food on offer is the normal a fair with very little greenery or fruit, although fruit bags can be found in some restaurants.

Shows - there are lots of these, 2 rotating shows in the Lego Friends City which are a pirate stunt show which should not be missed and the lego friends show. These do change depending on the season. At the moment there are 2 additional shows dotted around for Halloween, although they are quite weak.

If you have kids from 1 to 10 I would say your safe bringing them here - and any kid that loves Lego or planes come to think of it as you are on the flight path to Heathrow!! Cool as beans.

Is amazing for kids but I felt the way the rides worked were awfully slow in starting and getting next lot of people on. Even times there was space for more people to go on the rides but the staff would just no fill up the empty seats which I found very strange. Queue times weren't accurate at all either which was awfully frustrating. Food options aren't great, the amount of money these theme parks make not sure why not put a McDonald's in the park and some more halal options would be nice also. All in all out of all the parks in UK, legoland is perfect for kids but as mentioned very slow service and the way they work in general

Went to Legoland today and have to say, compared to other outdoor theme parks, it was one of the worst days out we've had. An absolute mess, clearly too many people let in, queues are tightly packed, with no social distancing being encouraged or enforced, barely anyone wearing masks, zero cleaning, several shops and eateries closed so more people crowding into the ones that are open and all round quite an uncomfortable experience, ended up leaving early.
Comparable places have far far better crowd management, allow fewer people in and have staff constantly cleaning, so its clearly possible, just clearly not at legoland.

Massively overcrowded especially during the current epidemic. Huge long queues on every ride. We spent the whole day but only managed three rides in total! Not impressed. Also, the entrance fee and food was all extortionate.

Really amazing for the kids. Fun activities sights and rides at every corner there is something new. There are things to look at in the queues so they do not feel so long. Also during these times its good to note that they are sticking to social distancing very well and we all felt very safe. Sanitisers at every ride.

Whilst there are some cool aspects of this place.....

Whilst there are some cool aspects of this place... essentially it's an 80s theme park and gaming console mixed in with standing round whilst your kids go bored out of their minds. A couple of the attractions were well planned with amusements in place, but few and far between. A children's theme park designed... more likely pieced together... by someone who potentially has never met a child. The best bit of the day was the pirates lagoon show which made the trip for us. Considering what we have paid for this trip, and the distance travelled, may as well have had a holiday abroad. The ninjago, coastguard and driving license are pure parent abuse with perhaps 6 minutes of entertainment. Hardly any water refil opportunities, not enough waiting time information, poor directional facilities. Not enough heating for off season visits.

NOT FACTUALLY CORRECT!!!

NOT FACTUALLY CORRECT!!!

I was on the log flume yesterday, which is a pirate themed ride. One of the signs on the way round said the year was 1690 or something, however a bit further round I looked up and saw an aeroplane in the sky.

Now I don't have to tell you that they didn't even have planes back then, let alone 300 person capacity twin jet engine ones!

Sort it out Legoland, we need to teach our children history correctly!!!

Not worth the price tbf. Went there for a family day out. Some rides were out of order, long waiting time for everything- including food and toilet. My son is 6 -next month and been told he cannot go to learners driving (after waiting hour in a line) because he couldn't lie about his age - smaller children were allowed because they lied about their age. He's doing go carting so he knows how to drive! Not much fun for 12year old daughter either. Staff rude and not consistent with rules on some rides- let one baby on a ride even if he was under specific height but refused next couple to let their baby on the ride even when it was taller than previous one. Bit of a joke. Don't think we will be coming back.

Great day out - if you go off peak on an overcast day. Check the app for which rides are closed and queue times - on a popular day to can be waiting over an hour for one ride. Food and drink are theme park prices (read: expensive) and there's not a lot for thrill seekers, this is better suited to younger children.
