What an amazing 360 top view of the city. Highly recommend going up at night.
What an amazing 360 top view of the city. Highly recommend going up at night.
Beautiful inside. Pics are the view from the top floor.
Amazing views from an architectural marvel. The line moved fast but we never felt rushed once we got to the top.
Astonishing views up there! One of the best things to do in New York
Persian rug cleaning. Very impressed with the cleaning job this company did. Their service was excellent and the price right, but nothing compares to how clean my rug looks!
Great experience. Try to so express or slow time 10pm in Sunday was still packed and long lines.
If I could give it zero stars I would. First of all the people at the entrances was not very friendly. In a hateful/attitude way told us move down the street for the entrance. When we got in the building same attitude was given us told to go upstairs. When we got our tickets and went to security they made it sound like all floors was open to veiw. After we viewed the 86th floor we was then told that the 102nd floor was under construction. No warning at all when buying tickets. Even the elevator controllers seemed like they didn't want to be there, like we are inconvenience them for touring the building. I tell you what you all wouldn't have a job if it wasn't from us tourist. Very mad and disappointed at your company.
A great view over the city that never sleeps. One of the things you must have seen in your live.
Even as a born and raised New Yorker, the Empire State building is a marvel to visit. It's iconic lines, scraping the NYC sky still remind me of the greatness of this city. Always a pleasure to visit.
Sleepless In Seattle, An Affair To Remember, King Kong and Love Affair are some small examples of Hollywood using this iconic building as one of their set location. I highly recommend anyone whenever they visit NYC to pay a visit to the Empire State Building, this being a building built during the great depression years only adds to its mystic as for a long time this was the tallest building in the world, a title that's so hard to maintain. The materials used, the design of the structure and grandeur of its shear presence show that no modern skyscraper can ever match with this grand old structure. Like the Statue of Liberty, Grand Central Station and Freedom Tower the ESB is one of the landmark sites of NYC. The view from the top is amazing as you truly get to see the Manhattan Island so well.
Good historical building, is better to visit at night less people, yes its open until 2am but check their website to make sure is open, I wouldn't go to the very top floor (102) is enclosed not open, you'll spend more $ for a less of the view stay on the open level (80th) more room to walk and to take pictures.
Went all the way to the newly opened 102nd floor! I can honestly say spending the cash for the VIP was one of the better decisions I have made. True red carpet treatment all the way up and getting back down too! It became the difference in a 2+ hour wait and being to the top in 10 minutes. Wonderful experience 86th floor observatory was exactly what I thought it would be. Definitely more crowded than what the movies would lead you to believe (looking at you Sleepless).
Great view of the city! Just being in such a famous building with so much history and lore is awesome! The staff there is great and friendly! Would come back for sure!
The new entrance is awesome. Friendly security staff and view is just awesome
Must do attraction!
Visited in early December. Attended late at night so wait time was less than 5min and reasonably small amount of people. Only attended the 86th floor and not 102nd.
Tickets are well priced - paid $36 per adult on site. Staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The inside of the building is beautiful. The views are absolutely spectacular!
Very cold up top that time of year so warm clothing and gloves recommended.
Landmark of manhattan. Interesting visit and nice view of the city. Rockefeller center has a nicer less obstructed view though.
It was cliudy, but we could see quite a bit. The staff were nice and did ask whether we want to enter, since we would not be able to see much from the top.
Beautiful view of the city from the top can recommend going after dark as that is the best experience in my opinion.
Better than never, always improving, I'm proud, I definitely recommend this place, Excellent experience!
Definitely worth a visit. I found the tickets to be on a higher side but the experience is unmatched.
A must see in NYC and the view it's worth the wait, the pain and the crowds. It's also worth coming back for day and night visits as the experience is completely different at different times of day.
It may be pricey to go up to the roof but it's definitely worth the view of NYC!
Beautiful & breathtaking but rather pricey! Also please remember that the 102nd floor is NOT an outdoor view but an indoor observation so the view from the the 86th floor is the better bet and a bit cheaper. Spectacular view of New York and a national treasure so am absolute must but no need really to go to the 102nd floor!
Good view and interesting facts about construction but really poor organized...
What can you say - simply awesome views everywhere you look.
Pretty cool view but hella expensive like the rest if NYC
Whether you are a tourist or a New Yorker you must see this iconic site! The view is amazing! Along the way the little performance is brilliantly curated together. The history of this place and how it was built is a miracle in itself! The staff was welcoming and inviting. Now is a great time for the locals. There are very few visitors yet! I highly recommend this place without reservation
Coolest tourist attraction in New York, hands down. Would recommend for both short/long term travellers a must do.
Great tourist destination even if you choose not to go up. Stand below and look up for a great NYC photo op.
Amazing views from the top and to think it was built before health and safety
Amazing 360 degree view of the city on the 86th floor. Being outside, not looking through a glass window and being able to hear the city all makes for a much better experience than the one world. On the downside the place is overcrowded, you have to wait in line and change elevators several times.
Crowded, totally worth to get the Express pass. Come right before sunset and you can take both day and night photos.
the view was amazing, but overcrowded. nyc was a nice visit.
definitely worth it. Reviews across Manhattan are spectacular on a good day. Recommend going in the mid-to-late morning during the week has crabs will probably be much lighter. Customer service is very good in the elevator ride up and down is incredibly smooth. Not too badly priced, about 40 per person
Nice views. A better alternative is the Rockefeller Center - or a flight along the Hudson.
Loved the fact that we could come back later in the day once the cloud had passed. Staff are so helpful.
What an experience. Loved the whole thing. Wasn't too busy when visited. Well worth the money. A must stop if you're visiting nyc
Fantastic building
Didn't have time to go to top but its top of the list for next time. Lady at reception gave us an excellent potted history of the building.
Historic spot for great memories. Pricey, but you don't do every day. Nice to attend when crowds are low. Walking distance to many landmarks.
Iconic building. It is worth going to the top and getting a great view of the city. It is also cool to see the lights at night.
It's an American icon, majestic and awesome, but pricey and popular, which means it's very crowded
Well worth visiting. One of our highlights of our trip. Worth the admission fee to see the view from the top! Quite incredible. The staff aren't very friendly which is a shame. The main ticket gives you access to 2 levels of views (not the 3rd) and you aren't allowed to go back to the levels, they are quick to usher you back to the lift to go down, so take your time on each level before going back in the lift. If you are visiting NY, you will want to go here.
dont take foto between the empire state pic cause so expensive...
It a great place to go to look at and to look at different historical land mark in New York City. It was a trilling and amazing life time experience
On crowded days a hell of a wait but therefore a breathtaking view over NYC!
Be there in the morning to buy the tickets there is no wait.
For all New York City Pass or Card holders, if the weather is bad, get your ticket it's valid for two years and get back later when the weather is good again.
Really great experience going to the Empire State building for the museum and an excellent view of The City. A must do for tourists.
Very pretty building inside, great view, but only if you're able to reach the ledge to look. Not ADA friendly for the observation deck and so many lines.
The views on NY by night are compelling. Definitely worth waiting
It was neat to say we have been here and went to the top of the building but the line to get in the elevator to go up and down is awful. You wait in several rooms on the way up and there isn't any air conditioning there so it is steaming hot and uncomfortable. The view is pretty at the top but in all honesty my family and I preferred the top of the rock.
The Empire State Building is a 102-story[c] Art Deco skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. It was designed by Shreve, Lamb & Harmon and completed in 1931. The building has a roof height of 1,250 feet (380 m) and stands a total of 1,454 feet (443.2 m) tall, including its antenna. Its name is derived from "Empire State", the nickname of New York. The Empire State Building stood as the world's tallest building for nearly 40 years until the construction of the World Trade Center's North Tower in Lower Manhattan in late 1970. Following the September 11 attacks in 2001, it was again the tallest building in New York City until it was surpassed by the new One World Trade Center in 2012. As of 2019, the building is the seventh-tallest building in New York City, the sixth-tallest completed skyscraper in the United States, and the 45th-tallest in the world. It is also the sixth-tallest freestanding structure in the Americas.
The site of the Empire State Building, located in Midtown South on the west side of Fifth Avenue between West 33rd and 34th Streets, was originally part of an early 18th-century farm, then became the site of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in 1893. In 1929, Empire State Inc. acquired the site and devised plans for a skyscraper there. The design for the Empire State Building was changed fifteen times until it was ensured to be the world's tallest building. Construction started on March 17, 1930, and the building opened thirteen and a half months afterward on May 1, 1931. Despite the publicity surrounding the building's construction, its owners failed to make a profit until the early 1950s.
Since its opening, the building's Art Deco architecture and observation decks have made it a popular attraction. Around 4 million tourists from around the world visit the building's 86th and 102nd floor observatories every year, and an additional indoor observatory on the 80th floor opened in 2019. The building stands near other major Midtown tourist attractions including Pennsylvania Station, Madison Square Garden, Koreatown, and Macy's Herald Square.
The Empire State Building is an American cultural icon and has been featured in more than 250 TV shows and movies since the film King Kong was released in 1933. A symbol of New York City, the tower has been named as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers. The Empire State Building and its ground-floor interior have been designated as a city landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission, and were confirmed as such by the New York City Board of Estimate. It was also designated a National Historic Landmark in 1986, and was ranked number one on the American Institute of Architects' List of America's Favorite Architecture in 2007.
I have to say I was so excited to visit. I was really disappointed in the fact that it was so very expensive. Compared to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and other attractions.Yes, I understand the City is expensive but I felt that the fees could have been much lower. It made it impossible for our family to experience this. I will say that the people in the building were extremely friendly and helpful.
A must to visit when in New York. Beautiful building. Worth going up just before sunset so that you see the view by day and also at night
Tips for making a great experience: 1.Buy your tickets in advance from their website. You will skip a few lines by showing that you already have tickets.
2.Go at night around 10PM it's less crowded than during the day and seeing the city all lit up is wonderful.
3.Go on the last night of your trip; it's a perfect way to end a NYC vacation.
Must go experience in New York. The view is absolutely amazing from the top! I would recommend anyone to go. Tickets are not cheap but worth even if you end up skipping an expensive dinner.
This is a must when you're visiting NYC. It's not cheap ($72) for a couple to go up to the observation deck, but the views are spectacular. We went on a Saturday due to our cruise ship schedule, so the crowd was large and the wait was about 40 minutes. You can get there by taxi or subway. Subway is cheap and the attendants are very helpful.
We went late at night, which was the time to go. We didn't have to wait in line. And we weren't ten people deep looking out over the city. There were only a handful of other people there, so it felt really exclusive.
Couldn't see from the top because the weather was too misty. Need to visit again.
I have been there twice once in the morning and once at night. It amazes you everytime. Long queue though
Awesome experience in the 86th floor observatory. The view is amazing and the breeze too. Better if you go at sunset.
Best visit here ever ... They have really improved the whole experience.... go early to avoid the queues...
A must see while in New York, although I thought the entry fee was a bit high.
Great experience. We had to wait ages to get our souvenir photo though.
Don't waste your money going to 102nd floor. It's, small and has some glass windows to look out of. The 86th floor is all you need and way more enjoyable because you can walk outside and it has a better 360 angle for viewing
Awesome experience!! Even during COVID I was able to enjoy this scenic views from the 86th floor of the Empire State Building. Staff were helpful, courteous, and pleasant.
Since i was 6 year old I have been a big fan of the ESB, and a week ago, while being 16, I finally visited the ESB. And it s everything I expected it to be.
You simply can t go to New York without visiting her.
New york trademark.. Took my kids for the first time, they enjoyed it very much. The view from the top is amazing. A little bit pricey though...
It was so nice doing it at night when its dark. The only downside was that we had to do lots of walking haha!!
If you're considering purchasing a VIP pass, just wait to buy a ticket until you get to the building. Its only worth it if the line is ridiculous (like the lines at the One World Observatory-hours long). I went on the Sunday evening of Thanksgiving weekend and there was surprisingly no line. The staff was not paying attention and I had to ask where to go for my "VIP experience", which felt stupid at the time since there was no line. Way too much money. Sure, its an iconic place with a nice view, but I felt like the museum portion was also lacking.
went there during the night, which was a good choice; way less people but still crowded. i recommend you to do the same. during the day you can catch a great view from Rockefeller and also see the empire state building in all its beauty.
Had a great time here. We went on a good day and there was no wait. Had some wonderful staff show us everything on top and then tell us a lot about the area. Loved it
Being a NY native that isnt a fan of tourists I might add. I will say if you come to NYC you do have to stop by and marvel at the massive building and its design. I do recommend going to the observation deck. It could be a little pricey but it's worth the experience to veiw the city from a whole different perspective. I will add that the fast past variation does get you up there quickly. Gauge the lines though see how many people are going in before purchasing if you are on a budget or have a big group.
Best place to see the city from high up. No lines and went straight up.
Ridiculously expensive to go to the top. These are tourist traps. New Yorkers should be given at least 50% off on the price. I have a good job and can't afford to take my kids to this historical landmark. Sad
Great plece to see in NYC. The tickets for 4 people 2+2 about 160USD. Please, remember, do not buy on the street! Inside the building there is a cashier, and the prices are even cheaper. The views are amazing
The view was gorgeous and the elevator ride was unexpectedly amusing
Great view and fun experience. We went to the 102nd door and not sure that was worth the extra money. The observation deck at the 86th was better and had as good of a view.
What's not to love. Still one of the most beautiful buildings ever.
Basically a must visit, but be prepared to stand in line. If you do not pre-order tickets, you will stand even longer.
We had tickets for daylight and night time and the night time line to wait in was longer than anything we saw during the day. Bring a lot of patience... Even the fast line tickets that you can pay extra for won't make much of a difference...
In the end it is worth the wait, so be patient.
Awesome view from the top. Long lines, but well worth the wait. I did not take the fake photo and skip it.
Well organized in getting people moving. You can't help the large crowds, but have a good flow is a big plus. The views of NY are undeniably the best.
