excellent centre with great upto date facilities for children with disabilities

Lovely building and staff. Fully accessible and rooms are available to hire at a very reasonable price.

The holiday club here is not to bad. Its sadly long days but once or twice aweek is easy for little ones to coupe with.

I've never been into the Mencap part of this building so I don't actually know what this is like, but Jimbo's Nursery which is also part of this building is absolutely brilliant. My daughter has been to 3 nurseries and this is by far the best. They do lots of activities with the kids, teach them everyday skills and all members of staff are lovely.

Did a spot of volunteering here through work. What an amazing place. These people are amazing what they do for others. Genuine people helping others to achieve.

Friendly staff, good outdoor area and of course a step free access

The staff are awesome and always helpful. I feel at home when I go there and I have also recommended the centre to many people.

Lovely nursery staff are always polite always willing to help with any situation and very good I would even say the best with looking after children the the nursery composers a soft play area for the children to attend the soft play area can also be rented out they have all the children of Ages separated so that learning for each age group can be more beneficial they have a sensory room which all age groups can use if you are in the catchment area I would definitely recommend this nursery but be fast as places do fill up very fast

Once home to Victoria school a wonderful old sandstone building.
Thankfully the land has been repurpused for this amazing centre. They do wonderful worth while work and have knowlageble dedicated staff

Great disabled parking and a warm friendly meeting place. Very up to date with disability facilities and the staff are very friendly and helpful
The car park at the rear of the centre has several disabled parking bays along with dropped kerb access to the footpath . There is now an accessible footpath to the Hawthorn centre and also to the rear entrance to the Vinery centre. The entrance is controlled from the reception centre just inside the door to the left. On leaving press the green button on the wall to left of door ,and the door will open for you .All surfaces are flat and level throughout the building . All doors are wide enough to access with wheelchairs , and there is room to move in all the meetings rooms . Guide dogs are welcome .
There are also disabled toilets available ,all with the alarm system .
Outside the building at the front there is space to park/drop off ,but it s not good for wheelchairs as you unload into the street and then have to find a dropped kerb ! You will see that there is one set of steps to the main entrance. To the left there is a long ramp access to the main door from the road junction . Also another ramp to the right of the steps giving access also to the main door . If using a chair for transport please remember that when you approach and sit at the main door the steps are directly behind you !! There is plenty of room to turn a chair safely . It s just a reminder .

Lovely place where my child can play and be part of a group. He enjoys going to there play schemes in the holidays

Little Hiccups holds a Stay n Play at Leeds Mencap and its a delight to use. Facilities are fully accessible, friendly and clean with lovely staff. Would recommend to anyone!

Never been inside or used the facilities, but looks amazing from outside & heard good things from other people

I am delighted my son got a place in the Hawthorne nursery, the staff are amazing. Very supportive and understanding of not just my son's but mine Also. Lots of things to get involved in at the centre, it really is a charity worth supporting!

It's very neat and clean. The facilities are new and well maintained. The staff are very welcoming and helpful.

We were filming at the centre today as part of an on going NHS internal comms video series. The staff were very accommodating and made the whole process quick and easy. We even enjoyed Adele's acting skills:-)

We love this facility. Although not from Leeds er have visited this place several times. Apart from the friendly, helpfull and courteous staff, there is also a calm and tranquil atmosphere and everything needed for the perfect event.

My children go to the jimbos part of the Mencap nursery very lovely staff very professional always willing to cater for child and parent needs would definitely recommend if you are in the catchment area would definitely give this nursery a look round they have soft play for the children and all age groups are separated so health and safety is top spec

Such an amazing organisation and a great building. I had a great time volunteering and really support the cause and support Leeds Mencap provides.
