Such a lovely place to visit. It's great for the whole family with lots to do. Once you have paid the admission price on the day of your visit you then get to go back as many times as you like for the next 12 months with those same tickets.

We have annual tickets and go there quite often. Beautiful park and views, plenty of attractions for kids and a grade 1 historical castle. Christmas decorations were particularly impressive this year.

Beautiful place. An old castle that has had changes since 900 hundred years. You can see how it evolved during the years and learn about English history. At the same time you can appreciate how such an old structure became a modern living place for a family.

We stayed in the Lloyd bedroom overlooking the hedge pathway that leads to the playground and maze. The room was amazing with every comfort for our stay. We attended our friends wedding in the maidens tower which was wonderful. A great location and unforgettable experience. The wedding meal was really good.
The breakfast the following morning in the castle view restaurant was not quiet as good though. There was not a great choice with the continental breakfast. The cooked breakfast was okay, but the black pudding had been sitting around for a while. We were offered one cup of coffee but none more materialised.

Great day out with the family - the entry ticket is valid for 1 year and we are already planning to return this autumn. They say its the prettiest castle and we would wholeheartedly agree

Lovely Castle and grounds but over priced if only able to visit in the winter for a day when many attractions were closed. The only ticket option was an annual pass which is impractical if you live outside the area.

If you just want to access the park to see the castle you still have to pay the total entrance which includes visiting the castle and it is very expensive. Otherwise you can stop on a large park ... but without seeing a piece of castle ....

Stunning castle and serene picturesque surroundings. Lush lawns, creeks, ponds, ducks, swans, black swans etc is a pleasant experience. They have added a new cool children s playground as well. It s very well maintained. It s a blend of history and nature. They offer a road train and ferry at an additional cost. The cafe and restaurant is decent. Ticket is pricey just any prime castles, but it s valid for a year is an advantage for repeat visitors.

Lovely staff. Well organised. Fascinating place. Some rooms not open at present and maze and grotto shut. Signage could be clearer on that around site to save a walk! Really lovely day though and will be back.

Well signposted, arrive to large grass car parks and one hard standing with a good number of disabled bays. A bit pricey but tickets valid for a year.
Good loos at entrance then hard pathways lead you a variety of routes around to the castle. A few have rather an unsettling camber for those seeking in wheelchairs or with buggies. But good pathways.
Lots for children in the way of maze adventure castle and plenty of space to run about. Excellent falconry, meet dome of the birds too. Teas coffees and small restaurant. Castle very interesting, more of a stately home. Downstairs made quite accessible and video for those that can't make it upstairs. Beatutiful grounds. Really good staff, very knowledgeable, and all, from gate staff to the shop food outlets and the castle staff very friendly and happy to help.

First time here but wow its amazing. So much history that is well preserved inside the castle and the grounds are beautiful, black swans roam freely and they must have every colour of tulip. Well worth a visit and don't miss the dog collar collection!

Really awesome family day out! Loads to see and do. There's a castle in the middle of a lake/moat to explore, beautiful gardens to wander through, an amazing play park (both for little and big kids :D There's a huge maze, with a grotto to explore if you can find your way to the centre! There are falconry displays, a mini boat, and land train ride, to get from one end of the grounds to the other :D theres awesome Ice cream and other food stops, as well as lots of gift shops , in case you're a shopaholic ;) please note though, the castle has been lived in, and is more of a house than a "traditional" castle :)

The castle has undergone many renovations over time. Many rooms have been rebuilt and set up with recreated objects. The outdoor park is large, with ducks free to roam the lawn. Outdoor rooms and gardens are often used as concert locations, cinema under the stars and various events.
