Such a lovely place, lots for the kids to see and do, and decent places to eat. Facilities are excellent, and the staff friendly and helpful. Expensive entry cost if you only go once, but your ticket is valid for a whole year, so the more you go the better value it gets.

Such a great place to visit and ideal for families. From the entrance it is a lovely stroll through the grounds before you get to the castle. We decided to look at the gardens first which were quite tropical and walked up to the Birds of Prey area. Lovely specimens and if you fancied a game of crazy golf that is there for all. We didn't do the Maze or Grotto, but that is maybe for a later time.
Back to the Castle which is more like a stately home and to see that fantastic view of moat and castle. You walk around the base to enter the Castle which is actually on 2 islands. Through the cellars and up to the lower floors. Through the passage way to the 2nd island and tour a fantastic building with so much history. Through each room and out into a small courtyard. Imagine Henry the VIII and Catherine of Aragon using this fantastic place.
You head back through the upper corridor to the main island where Lady Baillie the last private owner left her mark.
We headed back out through the gift shop and through the old mill and back through the grounds and over the oriental bridge.
A great day and a must.

Grounds are beautiful and the Castle is stunning. We stayed at the B&B which included price of admission, but if we had not the 21 pound entry fee probably would've been a bit steep for what was inside. That having been said, the castle interior is in very good condition (thanks to extensive updates and renovations in the mid-20th century) and provides an interesting counterpoint to the slightly less prisitine National Trust houses and castles.

There was a medieval fair on which was extremely well done; if we had children (or when I was young) it would have been a truly awesome experience. As it was, it was quite good, if a little pricey.

Just a few miles away from us. Amazing grounds and facilities. Always a wonderful day out. Lots of activities over the school holidays for young families. Wonderful food and staff. Highly recommended.

As you wander the ground you can definitely see remnants of when it was a Norman stronghold . Even thought it was quite grey the day we visited the mile plus walk to the castle through the Woodland Garden alongside the River Len was quite beautiful, especially s the daffodils were starting to bloom and there tons of water features. While the grounds were beautiful my favorite part was the actual castle tour where you can tour the staterooms. And be sure not to miss the library.

After our self guided tour of the staterooms we explored the gardens, the maze, and the grotto before heading to the Cliffs of Dover stay tuned for that! We had a great time and if you are looking for a day trip out of London I highly suggest a visit to Leeds Castle though be warned, the tickets are a bit pricey, but they are good for one year!

Fantastic day out. Beautiful gardens and great castle tour. Lots to do for the family and great facilities. Be aware though that hot food isn't served until the end of the day and stops at about 3pm. Looks like a lot of improvements going on this year too. All tickets allow free return for a year which makes it really good value if living in the SE. Definitely recommend.

The Leeds Castle provides entertainment or everyone. History buffs can start with The Gatehouse Exhibition which takes you through the Norman and Tudor dynasties along with other smaller ones through artefacts and facts. The audio tours will provide you with a continuous source of information about the major influences on the castle. One of their most fascinating exhibits is the Dog Collar Museum. Hosting five centuries of collars, the museum is one of it s kind. A 15th century iron one which used to protect against wildlife to the fancy ones of silver along with beads and plastic.

The castle was amazing. The grounds were beautiful and the history of the castle was well documented throughout the self-guided tour. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. There's something for everyone.

Love this place but don't like the photo ID u need to get in that doesn't help people who are only visiting one and the children shouldn't have to be photo ID as children always like to go with different friends so if that could change then they make it better for familys that are local otherwise a lovely place my children love it and I go all the time

Pros: Very nice gardens, great maze and kids play areas, lots of places for a nice picnic.

Overall we still had fun, but not likely to visit again (except maybe to try to get some value out of the free visits for 12 months...which is always an excuse to charge a fortune and pretend it's good value!)

Went to the fireworks display on Sunday night 5th November lovely display but an absolute nightmare getting out of the car park no organization from the Marshalls at all will not be going next year.
